The return of main character getting robbed & car jacking like in

I have been playing the cult classic GTA 2! of late and I have noticed the nice & slightly annoying touch of certain peds attempting to steal your money & certain peds jacking others peds cars..so my question is would you like to see this neat little touch return to the series?

Peds already try to carjack you in most GTA games and you can get mugged on GTA Online, it's just not that random. Would be kind of a cool feature until it eventually gets annoying.

Are you sure? I have played every game from II To V and I have never been randomly carjacked by a random ped & I have never seen random peds carjack other pedestrians cars except in GTA 2.

I've never had my car stolen in IV or V. But I'd like for it to happen in the next game, imagine pulling into a Burger Shot parking lot and walking in only to discover your car stolen/or seeing someone bust the window and try to drive away, that would be fun.

Already happened with me in III, Vice City, San Andreas, IV and V, mostly with gang members. In San Andreas you can follow a guy with blue striped shirt and a golden chain that usually hangs around Ganton, he's the model for a carjacker and will try to steal yours and other vehicles on the street.

I remember the street hoodlums in III mugging or attacking other peds actually so yeah but that's about it from what I have seen so it must have been fairly rare.

 

So basically to rephrase the question slightly would you like it to happen more frequently like in 2 and generally expanded upon?

First, welcome to the forums! To answer your question, I see no reason why it wouldn't work at all. It'd been really nice to see it in both IV and V, not to mention

the "Gimmee your wallet!" guy. It'd make for a much more criminal and realistic atmosphere if you ask me.

I'm glad to see another person here is into Anywhere City .

[GTA-Biker]

I'd like to see that feature return.It was cool to see NPCs and sometimes even the protagonist getting robbed in old GTA games (despite at times being a little annoying when a thief would steal my car,especially in SA after I just customized it),and it made the game feel more realistic.

However,it should happen rarely (mostly at night in more dangerous parts of town),and we should have the ability to fight off the thief (pulling a gun should make the mugger run away unless he's carrying a gun too,and if we shoot the thief while he's running away we should be able to get our money/vehicle back).

I don't remember much about it cause it was a while ago but I recall some random female stabbing me or something like that before jumping in my car and speeding off in GTA 5 story mode.

 

She just drove down the street a bit then parked it and got out. Needless to say I ended her as soon as I caught up.
