Skeever
a question about faith's region, is it worth completing it? i have a feeling as i progress the hallucinations will be a real problem eventually and i've already done the other two regions so not sure how motivated i am, already hearing that in the ending the map is basically a barren landscape after the bomb, so if i complete faith's region will it throw me into a compulsory mission where i have to defeat the final seed? if that is the case, i want to take the region and then leave the final mission as it isn't worth completing. basically, just plan to continue accumulating all the perk points, side missions and whatever but don't really have the motivation to finish the game. Yes, it's worth completing Faith's region. While the county is "nuked" in one of the endings, the only permanent difference is the main menu screen showing the post-nuke version of Hope County from that point on. You can continue playing the game afterwards, and the in-game world remains the same as it was pre-nuke. You aren't forced into the mission where you confront Joseph Seed like you are with his siblings. A mission marker gets added to his little island, and you can go there whenever you please. darthYENIK
I am sucked into the map editor. Made my desert town, Damville. There is no dam, but theres a junk yard and a landing strip. Ive put a dozen or so hours into it. Dont feel like Im a third of the way done. This is why I resisted it. I am too much of a perfectionist in these situations. Dont know when to stop. sh*t, got to jump back in, I just realized I can do something to make it look better. jpm1

chronic lumbago
Aaaaaand here's my 3rd map! https://far-cry-arcade.ubi.com/en-gb/ps4/map/5adc57f647ad067db020b339 (PS4 only) The best way to play it is using the provided air vehicles. There are two larger enemy bases, one smaller base and a few scattered camps throughout the desert, mainly around the river. In all honesty, I'm not 100% happy with the result because of the weird enemy spawns. I wanted wave 2 to start after 1 enemy dies; they don't. Also, not all enemies of wave 2 spawn at once. They sort of come in mini waves, I don't have the slightest idea why the snipers spawn first and the 2nd large base is unoccupied until you kill a ton of enemies, even though it's all wave 2. So yeah, I still can't figure out why the spawns work this way. You need multiple waves because wave 1 fills up very fast. I'd rather have them spawn all at once.. It's not my best map and I can't promise you'll even finish it but it's still fun. I tried to focus on a large air vehicle map. My next map will be of smaller scale, as my first 3 have been relatively large. But at the very least, I'm proud of the enviroment work I did. It looks good if I can say so myself. darthYENIK
I just spent 4 hours building part of the sewer/underground bunker in my desert city. Part of it. I have spent so much time on the map. I haven't even thought about what Im gonna do with it. Death match? Bounty hunt?
Shadowfennekin
Okay, the new live event outfit is pretty cool. It's another Cult themed outfit! I really like these cause they're actually unique! Unlike the Arcade outfit which was just another boring Racing outfit with different coloring.... and last week.... I really only participated for the new ATV I'd love it if we get more Cult outfits.... it'd be nice if they actually allowed you to 'blend in' though
luisniko
I finished the previous week's challenge just on time and got myself (yet-another) ATV and denim hot pants with belly-showing tanktop. That's great. Now my deputy can be a Hope County's bimbo after wiping out the Seeds. Money don't grow on trees.
Skeever
Okay, the new live event outfit is pretty cool. It's another Cult themed outfit! Still kicking myself for missing out on that Flamebearer outfit. I didn't know weekly challenges were a thing until last week, which led to me unlocking that stupid "Country" outfit. I do like the "Undercover Cultist" outfit available this week, though. It'd be cool if it worked similar to Far Cry 3's privateer uniform, where enemies don't attack unless you enter a restricted area (e.g. an outpost), but I'm guessing it's only going to be a skin. Plus, there's wanted posters of your character's appearance plastered everywhere. E: For anyone who's completed the game like me and is having a tough time finding cult trucks for the weekly challenge: There is an abandoned cult truck that occasionally spawns at the Gethsemane Greenhouse, in Henbane River (Faith's region). It will respawn if you blow it up, leave the area, and then travel back to Gethesmane, although it may not always show up. Since I couldn't find anything online about cult truck locations, I figured I'd mention it. Edited April 25, 2018 by Skeever
chronic lumbago
I finished the game today. Still have half of Faith's region left to explore. Once I'm done with that, I'll stick to creating maps and arcade. I'll probably start a new game on a different account someday. But the forced campaign missions and the campaign meter pretty much ruin the idea of a non-story save. So I'm not sure what to do. My very, very brief thoughts about the ending: The mission itself was terrible, but I actually liked when the nukes dropped. Then I didn't know what to think of being stuck with Joseph in the bunker forever. Those last seconds were creepy as f*ck lol. I'll post my full thoughts on it when I have more time. Cutter De Blanc
The more I turn over the ending in my head, the more ripped off I feel I don't mean ripped off like the money, game was worth the price, but rather screwed out of the payoff of all my efforts in the game. Your mileage may vary.
trip
I enjoyed my ending experience. I didn't really know I was at the final cinamatic because I was in conversation with my wife. I picked the wrong answer and got the super short ending. Then I kind of suffered the credits glitch(I guess) because I went to skip the credits and next thing you know the final cinematic started(again). Yay...i got to actually see the cinematic and choose 'the correct' answer. Shadowfennekin
One thing I was disappointed about was that we can never get the deputy uniform back.... or own an actual police car. Like what was the point of burning our uniform? We just get kidnapped 15 minutes later anyways by a Seed sibling so it breaks the whole point. I actually wanted to keep it. I completely forgot about that uniform in Far Cry 3.... it'll be so nice to play it again next month. I haven't played it in over a year. The way I did it though was Outpost Master, go to the Gas Station Outpost in Faith's region near the border to Falls End. One truck always spawns, but sometimes you get lucky and TWO spawn! Simply chuck explosives, then blow yourself up afterwards to reload and do it again and again. It was much quicker than going outpost to outpost.... since some outposts didn't even have trucks at all! The progress counts if you die, so it's just a quick way to get your explosives back and make more progress quickly. The car is actually pretty sweet looking. Saved some outposts in case we need to do something involving killing cultists in a certain way. One thing's for sure though, I hope we never get a Co-op one. I managed to get the achievement by messaging everyone who posted on it on Xboxachievements.... but it's just a pain in the ass when there's nobody irl or on your friends list who owns this game, and you can't join some random's game like in Far Cry 4. It'd be so nice if they change that in a later update, and add new game plus too Ivan1997GTA, Actlikeyouknow, Skeever and 1 other

chronic lumbago
I tried to start working on a new map but had to scrap it unfortunately. I wanted to make a Bioshock inspired map, a journey map called Rapture. However, placing buildings underwater no matter of what kind will make the interiors swim too. Meaning you can't walk on anything underwater, no matter what you place. Planned to make underwater interiors, but that's not possible. I feel like Ubi should add more wacky options, like disabling swimming. Anyways, since that's not possible.. think I'll make a Bioshock Infinite inspired map. A city high up the sky with a couple islands connected by ropes. I also had an idea of a medieval castle siege lol. Shadowfennekin
Wow, this one is progressing so slowly. Thank god they cut it down to 600,000 instead of 1,000,000 like usual. Usually by Friday we have the goal almost done.... but it's currently 431,000/600,000 Last week by this time it was 900,000 out of 1,000,000 Though the trucks not driving around everywhere post game sure factors into that.... it was pretty easy to get roadkill, just drive up and down the farms in Falls End and kill cows/pigs. This is far more restricted I have no doubt it'd failed if it was 1,000,

Iroquois
i really feel the snapping tool addition must become a priority. It really adds frustration to mapbuilding without it. To me, you cant really make anything decent unless you had an infinite amount of time, *calmly*. Id really like to emphasize the word calmly in that sentence. Farcry 2 had snapping; and it took me 6 months to make my maps (each!) and i enjoyed every minute of it. FC3 was mindnumbingly frustrating coz they removed snapping. It took me days just to line up the walls of a few meters2 of a small building....Hopefully someone can start a petition. I'd make some great maps and i know the most of you mapbuilders would too!! Shadowfennekin
An update is coming Tuesday! While it's just a minor glitch, I do hope they fix the outpost/cult property incorrect numbering display. Like it says *number*/4 instead of 6 outposts and... how ever many wolf sirens there are in Jacob's region. It annoys me and I haven't done that side mission yet because of that. I want to destroy them all, not just four I do hope the live events remain at 600,000 though or go lower like 500,000 Iroquois
chronic lumbago
I missed two of the wolf sirens so I just looked them up and checked every location. It went faster than I thought. Follow the guide, air drop on the location closest to the shrine, if it's not there then move on to the next.
Skeever
The cultist outfit is pretty cool. Unsurprisingly, cultists still shoot on sight when you wear it, though. I think I'll make an arena in the map editor. I like maps that start you off with no equipment and force you to scavenge weapons as you progress, so I'll probably do the same with this. luisniko
Ubisoft and their fetish to make absurd community challenge count on PS4. Different studios, still same. Anyway, just played for crap and ended up getting the challenge reward's muscle car. It's really fast. Not too shabby. Worth the grind. I'm gonna keep the outposts hijacked until they patched in a way to make enemies active again.
