godforgivesthelostdont
It would be great if Rockstar made a remaster of the game for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Switch for ~$30. In my opinion, the same art style and atmosphere should largely remain. Re-skinning it to look like GTA V would be too laborious and would take away too much from the game's original personality. Most of the focus should be placed on updating aspects of the gameplay and revising some of the game's annoyances. Here is a master list of how I would revise the game: Visuals/Interface 900p Resolution at 60 frames per second. Added lighting, shadow, bloom, lightning and rain effects. Updated skyboxes for cloudy days, beautiful sunsets and starry nights. HUD is 75% size by default (but can be adjusted from 25% to 100%). World Map and Mini Map are redrawn and re-textured. Mini Map can optionally be turned off in the Settings menu. Cheating/Money Cheats are disabled during story missions until after the game is beaten once. Weapon and Money cheats are entirely disabled until after the game is beaten once. Money rewards from missions and side missions are increased by 50%. Convenience Every mission has a save checkpoint at the start. Every mission has a save checkpoint after the initial driving section. Every mission has a save checkpoint before the final driving section. The game is auto-saved after a story mission is completed. I have many other little revisions but these are the main ones for now.
HalfOfAKebab
Make it so you can drop weapons. 900p Resolution at 60 frames per second. It would be good to play at 4K 240 FPS. Edited May 20, 2017 by HalfOfAKebab
The Rockstar Gamer 108
That aint gonna happen. You've to wait for 100th anniversary for that. GTA SA is NOT goin to be as GTA V. It's 3D Era pal, not HD Era. 60 FPS is just crap. Our eye captures 16 FPS. Thus, 60 FPS is too unrealistic. IMO, they should put 16 FPS, with New Effects & Some New Textures. No major things to be done. The fire, Water, sky, clouds, reflections & lightings should be enhanced. lil weasel
Rockstar lost upwards of 21 million dollars to blue noses for what it is, That and rampant Piracy have killed any chance of a Redux in higher resolutions and better Art Work. The Game as it is, is still the best balance of PLAY. Fancy (to please the children) state of the art, art does not improve play. That is proven by the GTA V game. The popularity of the GTA San Andreas is in its Playability, (with replayability) not its looks. Unlike most other games, some missions, allow for the use of weapons, vehicles, and approaches Other Than the one implied by the game. I for one, don't like Rut games, where you Must follow a specific path (routine) all the time. Which bored me out of playing GTA V. Maybe by its 25 or 50th anniversary Rockstar might redo it to satisfy the Children, and with the help of Microsoft allow it to play on Windows 20. But, by then such games of violence may be suppressed by the "House Committee on Mental Health and crime". Big_Smiley
Why do you want another remaster for? They did it for the 360, the ps3, and mobile. That's your HD remaster. Don't think it would work for the Xbox One. The ps4 port was a just ps2 port with HD resolution. Official General
They've remastered the game on the PS4 already, and it looks better than the original PS2 version. Anything else is not necessary.
gts.
The PS4 version it's the PS2 version on a in-built PS2 emulator rescaled to 1080p running on the PS4. When the people will stop the misinformation and call "remastered" to the PS4 version? The only "remastered" versions that exists are the Mobile one, the PS3 and Xbox 360 that are straight port from the Mobile version, and the Windows Store version that came out a year or two ago.
