We Are Ninja
People fully understand how they work. People also fully understand the sheer pointlessness of such suspensions, and that if you intend to outrun police, there are far more practical mods you can install than an air suspension. SchizNitz
Probably gonna be waiting for a sale on this one after they mentioned cops were locked to time trial races triggered by bait crates and few other missions. I'd be a lot less disgruntled if they didn't drag on in the marketing about the improvements in cop AI without mentioning pursuits can only be activated by bait crates (which at this point in time involve restricted time trial races) and some missions. Just a shame, but oh well. I'll still buy it at some point and it doesn't seem like a bad game by any means, just something that I have enjoyed in open-world Need For Speed games that isn't there this time around. DOUGL4S1
EA just revealed the Soundtrack for Payback. It appears to be a huge step fowards compared to the previous game. Finished adding links to the tracklist, most songs are OK, some I only found either Live or non-remix versions, and others I couldn't find on YouTube at all (going to be released with the game?) If you do find a video/audio for them, feel free to share. Barns Courtney: Kicks Formation: Buy and Sell (couldn't find a video for it) (I only found a Live version of it)Nothing but Thieves: I Was Just A Kid RAT BOY: BOILING POINT (couldn't find a video for it) Skepta & Goldie: Road Trip (couldn't find a video for it) (I only found a Live version of it) (I only found a Live version of it) Tom Morello feat. Leikeli47: Roadrunner (couldn't find a video for it) (I only found the original version)Warbly Jets: Fast Change (couldn't find a video for it) Edited October 5, 2017 by DOUGL4S1 Homemade Dynamite, VROmead, Ivan1997GTA and 2 others
Ivan1997GTA
Nice. I'm really glad that Gorillaz is on the soundtrack. I've been waiting for one of their songs to show up in a Need for Speed game, like "19-2000" in Underground or "Feel Good Inc." in Most Wanted (2005), and I'm happy that it's finally happened. chronic lumbago
That sounds good, at least the rap tracks that I now. Trap and a Dream is one of my favorite tracks of the last weeks and they even threw some dutch rap in there. I always loved all music genres in NFS games, even through I generally don't listen to rock or metal. I hope this playlist will be good as a whole. I don't see a lot of rap in the soundtrack but I can NFS to all kinds of music. Unless it's NFS 2015. That soundtrack was horrible. Even that classic music update was locked to certain races only. DOUGL4S1
Damn. Cinematic trailer again and again. Game's coming out soon and I don't even know how it plays like. Yeah. Also, beware that the trailer was captured "In Frostbite", not "In-game", so they are probably renders. And to be honest, the facial animations were kinda weird. chronic lumbago
It kinda made me cringle. I certainly expected something more exciting from a story trailer. I'm not even slightly interested in that story. Seems to be just a bad F&F copy and nothing else. DOUGL4S1
einjzmolf
I'll take bad F&F copy over Monster™™™ commercials and Vaughn Gittin Jr. any day. Can't please everybody, and I won't care about the story either, but come on.. it's a better direction than what the last game attempted. Audi
Expecting a NFS game to not have a cringey stereotype filled story is pointless lets be real. But as long as the cars drive and handle well, the graphics are good and the customization is good that's all that matters. chronic lumbago
Sure, I'm still excited to see how Payback turns out. I don't even knew why I expected anything more from a NFS story lol. I saw a bad story trailer and wanted to point that out, that's all. @einjzmolf: we still don't know if Monster makes a return or not I actually thought NFS2015 was kinda decent in terms of story. I said my thoughts on it a few pages back or so. I did like the real life cutscenes - they seem to be better quality and more fun to watch than the weird faces of Payback. chronic lumbago
All NFS storylines are cheesy but 2015 was straight up cringe rather than cheesiness. NFS Most Wanted, Carbon and The Run had good ones. MW's Ronnie was the definition of cringle. Still, it was my favorite story. Something that wasn't copied from a Hollywood movie. It was about pure racing, the blacklist, cops and revenge. It had it's cheesy moments but overall the concept was awesome. The game threw 15 antagonists at you + Cross so the sense of progression in that game was amazing for a racer. Unbeaten to this day in fact. Best story and presentation in the series. SprunkieMonkey
Won't buy this one. This nfs doesn't bring anything new. For me it is a downgrade. These car crashes are just bad, physics did't change, cop chases too, they are very bad. Cutscenes with real life actors, your tuned car and photorealistic graphics are cut. I dont feel amazed after watching first trailer of payback like it was when i saw first trailer of 2015. I mean 2015 was a progress relatively of rivals but payback didn't show any progress Edited October 13, 2017 by SprunkieMonkey Sonny_Black
Slasher
NFS Payback is what NFS 2015 should've been. Those real life actors knew how to make cringy cutscenes that's for sure Edited October 13, 2017 by Slasher

spincther
There's no ignorance about NFS being sh*t since Criterion/Ghost took it over. Turn and hit the break pedal to drift yall. pffft f*ckin joke. EA needs car ignorant people to support them, and it looks like they got plenty. If you know nothing about cars, then NFS Franchise on NG its right up your ally. total rice fest....air suspensions, ugly kits, uglier wings and all. If you jerk off to Paul Walker or think Fast & Furious is a documentary, you're gonna feel right at home with EA and NFS. And if you're wondering why Toyota wants nothing to do with NFS and because they don't want the Supra's name being tarnished by the sh*t fest that is NFS now. They'd rather license their cars to worthy Titles that aren't marketed to the stance/down syndrome car culture. You are actually VERY ignorant, especially if you still think brake to drift is forced and not an option. Not only that, but you also think everyone is going to rice their cars lol you're on whatever donald trump is. They have ducktails genius, and it all depends on who's playing. Ricers will rice but there are plenty of people with taste who will tastefully mod their cars. This is ghost games 2nd nfs title on their own and it looks like a yet another big jump from the previous game. Nobody is forcing you to buy the game either, so I'm not even sure why you're bitching. spincther
It used to be a good franchise, that I liked. But when they messed with the handling (drifting makes you go faster? lulz) and added the burnout elements, I was done with it. And the godawful titles they give to the NFS games, jezus christ..there like bad Mel Gibson Movie Titles. "Payback" ? Seriously? Bahahahah And this is rice as f*ck cracker jack box toy garbage, Idiots have made form over function popular. The rest of us who know its function over form laugh at those clowns.
