Yea I love those crates. Way better way to get parts than the endless little freeroam activities that littered the map in TC1.

I need Douchebag Driving Discipline and Bicycle Discipline in The Crew 3.

I liked it. Obvious gripes aside, I feel like it'll be a solid game when they start adding stuff in.

On this last day of testing, I barely noticed that if you fit high level parts, your tires get wider. Really motivated me to get more cars.

For some reason, you cant change the wheels on the 63 Corvette despite being able to do so in the last game. And I cant get rid of that stupid hat. And the Ai is kinda bullsh*t. Still a solid game.

Heh. Forgot to mention about the CPU racer.

I feel this is like a mix of Driveclub and GTA enemy. Its rubbing mentality is like in Driveclub, the dumbness is like in GTA where they would cut lane all of sudden and getting jackknifed among themselves.

The rubber banding is quite noticeable, although not Driveclub-level.

The first place guy is basically a horse fed on doping. Seeing Abarth 500 perfectly blazing through in high speed like roller coaster isn't exactly a great view.

The rubberbanding is bloody awful man, was grinding for some money earlier and I'd build up a steady 4-5 second lead with about 2 corners to go and then on the last corner the full pack would be right behind me and I'd have to nitrous boost across the line just to make sure I won. Seriously don't understand why it's still a thing in racers, it doesn't feel very rewarding to build up a lead and then have it abolished when the AI decide they wanna catch up.

I gotta say, I am annoyed to no end that Ubisoft can't manage to model the Mackinac Bridge correctly. I've lived around Flint and Detroit most of my life and have driven north on several occasions to cross into the upper peninsula of Michigan. That bridge that spans the straights of Mackinac is over all of 5 miles long and only has two towers. The suspended area held by cables is only about 400 feet shorter than the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. It basically is the Golden Gate with a longer run up to the section supported by cabling. It's a marvel of mid 20th century engineering and nobody bothers to pay any mind to it at all. Except people traveling north for car cruises and fudge.

Like I said. Annoying.

Two cars added every month, and you don't have to pay a dime. Well, of course you would have to earn in-game to buy them. Still awesome.

And yeah, the AI is pretty sh*t. Once you hit them, they don't drive anymore. They're lifeless. Not t mention that their cars don't make any sound. They're completely silent.

Another thing I hate about this game is that it resets you if you come into a collision at high speeds. Like, why?

That means you are considered to be under a fatal crash. The Crew 1 used to have a crash-cam similar to Burnout when you collide with another car. I don't see it here.

Gold Edition is already playable. Expect a lot of gameplay flying around.

I'm getting this game no matter what, but I'm debating whether to get it now or later on. I got the first Crew Ultimate Edition for like 20, so im wondering if they will do a similar thing next year. 🤔

the beta was fun.

Wasting daylight. If you need now, you want now, you can afford now, then just get it now.

But either way, Ubisoft really likes to make discounts on top of things like Steam deal. Or if you're on console, you can always wait for a pre-owned copy. Although tbh, I myself not feeling like paying full price for a must-online game.

I will wait till Xmas or Black Friday sales, want to buy the game with a big discount and, hopefully, fixed bugs and main issues)

does this game have online mode?

The game is online only as far as I know. Right now the multiplayer is co-op only, PvP races is coming in December because, uh, Ubisoft.

You still can make a racing track based on your trail and organize a PvP yourself. There are also leaderboard for stuff in the game.

The game is also open world where there are less psycho for you to meet and do a race.

In the Closed Beta, I used Mazda MX-5 and Audi Quattro for the Open Beta. The comparison is way too far.

I think I'll go with hard mode in the full game and that is by choosing the slow-as-f*ck MX-5 where mistake would be badly punished.

And really can't wait to get back to Motocross with Kawasaki MX125. Or maybe I should try Suzuki next.

Ok. Been playing for hours. I genuinely like this waaaay more than the first one thanks to both becoming a racing game and the vehicle tuning option.

On the downside, CPU enemy is getting more and more infuriating. Total clusterf*ck ramming, blocking, and speeding like a train. Insane rubberband also getting more ridiculous, closing to Driveclub's.

Anyone else have the display stretched out farther than what the TV shows? For example my crew credits are off-screen. Strange there's no setting for that in the game.

Check if you are using a specific picture mode on your TV that zooms in the picture. (In my case that would be the Game Mode).

Switch to different picture mode if you're using it.

Additionally, (assuming you're on PS4) go to Settings, Sound and Screen, Display Area Settings, adjust the boundary to your TV screen. Use this when you're sure you're not using any zoomed-in picture mode on your TV.

Picked up the gold edition, because I was looking for a fun racing game to fill the void. Really enjoying it so far. It can be a bit grindy, but the driving is quite a bit of fun. Though, engine sounds can be quite off. I started out with the MX5, because I drive one in real life, and was disappointed to hear an engine that doesn't even sound remotely close to the real one. Oh well.

Rocking out the classic 911 with a Martini livery, will post some screenshots later on!

Drift trials are really tricky, but also addicting at the same time trying to tweak and figure out what's best for the track.

Drag race on the other hand is the quickest and laziest race available. If I need a quick shot of money, I'll just do that.

Outside of that, I think they need unlockable house/garage in every city though.
