They can now INJECT MONEY when offline?

So last night I played for about 2 hours. Most of it was just messing around and the last hour I actually helped a CEO with his missions. I made up to 30k just by helping him do various missions and deliveries. I deposited the money because I hate having money not deposited because you lose some of it when you die. I had zero in undeposited funds.

 

I just got home and loaded my game....since the money injections and deleting people's accounts....I make sure to always check my balance.....today when I logged on.....

 

$3,505,439 million undeposited.

No. Just me.

 

I never have more thank 50k not deposited.

 

I thought I was late in receiving refund and cash back....till I counted out 7 digits. 3.5 million.

 

I don't leave my game idling because I don't want an injection. I am constantly checking my balance. I had zero money last night.

They can't do it while you're offline. That would require direct manipulation of your save on the Rockstar Cloud services. It was likely just shadow dropped into your wallet.

Did you purchase any of the Returning Player vehicles (Kracken, Dodo, Blista, etc.), and if so, had you already gotten your refund for those?

This is possible. I received 600k undeposited while waiting in the clouds to join a lobby and I knew instantly because it said transaction processing in the bottom right corner. Force quiting GTA then starting it back up showed the money sitting in my wallet when I previously had all of my cash deposited.

It doesn't matter how far in you've loaded. If you're connected to the session at all it's possible.

That $5,439 could have been in his wallet prior.

 

But then again, bonus cash is out directly into your bank account. The OP likely got that cash whilst joining a session.

That sucks, man. Is GTAOnline the only game where the developer can punish you just for playing the game or even joining a session? I think so. That's pretty amazing.

If you did not notice a "plingpling" sound like it was in my case and/or got notifications that you received money for something, they must have used another method of injecting

How did you log off using the menu or force close.

 

If you use the menu you still online for a small time while it saves.

A guy I play with has had several million over the last two months of play. All from rockstar. He's had two payments of over a million each.

 

I've had next to nothing, but he gets so muh that when he logs in and doesn't get a bonus he gets annoyed.

It could have been that session switching money glitch that was around many moons ago, they've been known to return for a few minutes here and there.
