Richard Power Colt
Anyone else here totally fine with "paid mods"? As long as they're not just sh*tty skins at least. I don't think modders should be expected to work for free. APB
El Dildo
the way they described, made it sound like its solely based at sea, which is a big MEH for me. I was HYPED AS f*ck watching the trailer then it turned out to be a multiplayer game Remember the hype for For Honor and how quickly it died? I have a bad feeling this turns out to be that game everybody wants to play then leaves to rot after 2 weeks. Still no solid single player pirate game on the horizon... As soon as I heard the guy say 5v5 all my excitement for it went down the drain damn that's the same thing I was worried about. I think you guys are right. it looks like it might be PVP / online exclusive. if it's only multiplayer then everything will just get old fast. it would need more PVE and COOP to be a long-term experience. and if it's only sea battles (nothing to do on land, no melee or sword combat) then they're missing out on a huge opportunity for content and replayability. I can't believe no one has figured this out yet. just make a huge, awesome, triple-A quality pirate RPG. like Assassin's Creed Black Flag but without the Assassin's or the Creed. KilnerLUFC
I don't care what anyone says, when Nintendo shows a game, I think, "that's a game". That's something I would pick up at random at Blockbuster video, and it would turn into something I love. You know you're getting something that knows exactly what it is, not trying to be a movie, or immerse you in VR, it's a game. Something you play and you give the unplugged controller to your little sister to make her think she's helping you. In a non-bias as possible way, since the Switch is the only current-gen console I own, I'd still say Nintendo have got me pretty hyped for some of the games they have on the way. Admittedly my Switch only gets little play time at the moment, but after that presentation, I know it'll be getting a hell of a bashing later this year. Mario Odyssey Zelda: Breath Of The Wild DLC Metroid 4 Skyrim Rocket League And some others that I may try out if money allows...

I can't believe no one has figured this out yet. just make a huge, awesome, triple-A quality pirate RPG. like Assassin's Creed Black Flag but without the Assassin's or the Creed. PVE is in, afaik. I think the game will be more like The Crew rather than For Honor. Perhaps with a shared open world. The problem is that the devs are quite vague in every article and interview I've read about the game so far. I'd still buy the hell out of PVP-based Black Flag spinoff. I thought naval deathmatches in Black Flag's MP would be incredibly cool ever since 2013 and now I'm getting pretty much that, so yeah, I'm excited. But the lasting appeal for the general audience is worrying. As fashion said, this might be a game for a niche audience. The game can't come out light on game modes or lacking variety. While I'm fine with no land-based gameplay, as I think it's better for an MP game like this to be narrowly focused, than unnecessarily spreading itself, that's another potential negative checkmark for most people. After the initial "OMG Black Flag 2" reaction the game creates, on a second look it makes much more sense as another in line of Ubi's unconventional smaller MP titles in the last few years (Siege, For Honor, Steep) and it's probably better to think of it as such. Apparently there are people who like DZ and I can understand if Ubi is taking the chance to make a game basically a full-game Dark Zone. I hope it is, so the people who likes it can linger in that one game instead of asking Ubi to turn Ghost Recon Wildlands open world into DZ and PUBG. Sonny_Black
Spiderman ps4 look really polished; my only grip is the web swinging, it feel Spidey is floating and there is a lack of speed to me, I'm not really convinced, even tough the dev said the swinging is physics-based; there is going to be more this week so I will wait and see. chronic lumbago
I thought Spidey's quick time events is a little bit lame? If it's not overdone then I guess it's fine. Personally I'm not a huge Spiderman fan and can only see myself playing it in 2 years or so when it's heavily discounted.
Stellasin
Spiderman's humor totally sucked in the demo. It felt like a robot was talking. Not much facial expression, and a neutral voice. Highmoon studios did the humor perfectly for Deadpool.

Use of the eyes on the mask for expression didn't seem like much of a thing either but I might be misremembering. Hoooooopefully they get more of that in for launch. If someone bought the game before, this should have been a reasonable priced DLC. I bought Skyrim 2 times so far and they want me to buy it again soon? Maybe on the Switch as well? The Bioshock collection is still one of my most satisfying purchases on this gen. I got it for 20 bucks on a psn sale, which is an awesome deal for a whole trilogy.Buying remasters you've played before is pretty much pointless. Skyrim was my personal exception because it actually offerend something new and exciting, console mods. Shadow of the Colossus is a game I'm keeping an eyes on too. I never played this on the PS2 and it's going to be a complete remaster almost from the ground up.

Richard Power Colt
It's really just a matter of getting my processor changed to meet the minimum requirements(the cooler of my old processor is basically stuck in the f*cking machine and I need to find a way to get it out without breaking my PC). Well I do also need to make sure I actually have enough space to use it since I live in a small apartment(my living/bedroom is fairly large portion of the apartment so I might be able to have the required free space if I move the furniture a little). RedDagger
Little thing someone mentioned on the Crackdown lack of destruction thing, at the start of the they explicitly say that there's two separate modes, the single player/coop and multiplayer, and that the destruction was only for multiplayer - it's not a cop out, it's literally how they designed the thing to work This was confirmed to still be true in a tweet https://twitter.com/shannonloftis/status/874042517557202945 Which also means no forced online just to get the destruction to work when you're playing alone. Removed my main doubts for the game, will have to see what MP brings, though the trailer still wasn't anything too impressive. Jason

It's been clear since day 1 by the sounds of it, I probably saw it but forgot. I think a lot of the confusion is that multiplayer in Crackdown is associated with the co-op and not player vs player (which I think Crackdown 2 had? but that was the weakest out of the first two). They maaaaybe could have got the message out better but eh, it's a bit meh but it's not the end of the world if the gameplay in co-op is there. I do suppose it makes sense that they don't want you blowing the SP city to pieces as that would kinda mess with the structure of the SP I'd guess. The response to the game on the show floor has been good though, so my expectations are back up again. Plus even though it is MP only the MP does actually sound like it'll be fun, 5v5 matches where the goal is to blow the sh*t out of people, toppling buildings on each other etc. Could be a blast if it works! Definitely going to be interesting to follow. Jason
Jason
It definitely didn't inspire faith when the release date announcement and it's only presence in the conference was a quick cut-heavy trailer. The SP doesn't demo well in front of a crowd for sure (open world sandboxes never do) but it's a bit iffy still. I hope they do some sort of demo or beta, particularly for the MP. As much as I loved the first one it feels like a game I need to play before I can be properly sold, plus MS's track record with PC ports hasn't been great either.
