DEALUX
DeeDogg is in a corner somewhere, holding his PS4 crying.lol even if they had a handful of really good exclusives his prediction that Sony would just "bury" Microsoft was quite ridiculous. Even if we grant the idea that Sony has the best exclusives and it explains in large part the kind of sales they are getting, plenty of people will still buy an Xbox for various other reasons. The Sony conference was a bit underwhelming even for someone like me who doesn't plan on buying a PS4 anytime soon. The new Call of Duty game looked kinda cool even though I haven't played a single title in the series (but it's not an exclusive game). Detroit: Become Human looked cool for like the first 10 seconds until they actually revealed the plot and then (without even hearing about this game before) it struck me: the story is about freeing slaves (people) from a bunch of...stores. What? That's the lamest plot I've heard in a long time and it sounds like the kind of bad writing...No, it can't be. f*cking David Cage, of course. This guy will never give up his writing career no matter how many sh*tty games he releases. FullMetal
I dont see how Microsoft won this E3. EA played it way too safe and Microsoft thinks they have enough with just their Xbox One X. Sony shows they try to get enough Third party games in their camp and at the same time offer enough real exclusives for their platform. That might be being too comfortable with their market lead but knowing they didnt even show all they have in store speaks volumes. (Death Stranding, The Last of Us) edit: Fireman you are right. This whole E3 so far has been quite boring actually. No big new IP announcements or real scoops. Either playing it too safe or blueballing some more of the already announced and upcoming titles. You could say the same about Microsoft? oh they just didn't show all they have in store! but it doesn't really work like that. Microsoft had Metro, they had Crackdown, they Anthem and the debut for AC Origins and a whole new system to showcase no matter what you think of said system. What Sony brought to the biggest stage in the industry is something i'd expect out of their Sony show in February or a smaller event like Gamescom. This pales in comparison to their last year show and doesn't stack up to their competitor's show yesterday. Metro is not an exclusive. Anthem is not an exclusive and AC Origins is also not a platform exclusive. Oh so what microsoft has shown is something you dont expect on a smaller stage, showing off multiplatform titles? And how doesn't Sony stack up to the competitors? I fail to see that. Sony brought the most exclusives out eventhough most of them were already announced last year. Actually this time around there was a positive evolution with the titles. Days Gone looked better and had more gameplay. God of War showed off alot more and also some gameplay which looked pretty much the same as last year, nothing seemed to be downgraded. Again, how doesnt it stack up to the competitors? Ubisoft and EA are not competitors. They actually make games for pretty much all platforms.

Richard Power Colt
Okay I just woke up and saw some of the new trailers from the Sony conference. OH MY GOD f*ckING SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS REMAKE f*ck YES! It might be like my favorite game ever so I can't wait. Gotta say tho it does look kinda "clean" and not rugged like the original, which I'm not sure I'm a fan of. Idk if they can fully re-create the atmosphere of the original. Also Spiderman looks decent. I'm not the biggest fan of the Arkham style combat, but it kinda makes sense with this character. And it seems like they may have got the webspinning right again which is what most people were asking for. Holy f*cking sh*t. If you bought Fallout 4, and you really wanna play it in VR, well f*ck you. Buy our game AGAIN. I can't believe how scummy they have gotten over the past few years. Almost all VR games are overpriced right now, because the market is so small. I think it's a bit of a necessary evil to make it profitable and the headsets themselves are already pretty expensive so most of the people who have them can afford the games. However, I do think it would be fair to at least get a discount if you already own Fallout 4. GTA3Rockstar
DeeDogg is in a corner somewhere, holding his PS4 crying.Good lol I think everyone went in thinking they would show rdr2. Once I knew they delayed it, they wouldn't show it. Very lackluster, except for days gone but everyone in the theater didn't seem impressed by it or any of the games shown. Lol I like what Ubisoft did, the Mario game, the south park games, maybe the pirate game and might dab into ass creed after so long. We will see if Nintendo does anything but I would vote for Microsoft. Mainly cause of metro and anthem, even if they're not exclusives. Same thing would've been said for Sony if they showed rdr2. Also, f*ck Bethesda. Charging for mods and forcing us to buy FO4 again for vr, let alone milking Skyrim for the 10th time. chronic lumbago
So Sony didn't show the two most interesting titles.. TLOU2 and Death Stranding. I have to watch the conference but I voted for Ubisoft already. They showed a lot of good stuff and many surprises and in the end, won my heart with Beyond Good and Evil 2. chronic lumbago
Anyone else thinks that the people shown on Ubisoft's stage seemed very passionate about what they're doing? It could have been good acting of course. When I compare it to EA, EA just wanted to sell you a product with dumb PR talk. Ubisoft's cast seemed very likeable. Candy_Licker
Ah, the usual discussions about who "won" E3. Really underwhelming, as expected. Microsoft, Ubi and PC Gamer were kind of ok. But there was not a single title that could become an absolute masterpiece. Again, dominated by sequels that play it safe and trailers that almost have nothing to do with the final game. HaythamKenway
For me, the only interesting game of the show was Spiderman. Last one I played was on the PS1, and this game seems fun and is a good-looker. Same. Though the overreliance on cutscenes, scripted setpieces and QTEs soured the impression a lot. It's like I slipped back to 2007. And having Miles along with older Peter just reminded me again of what the MCU Spider-Man should and could have been. Oh well. Ubisoft won the E3 for me, simply by virtue of having more than one game I'm definitely going to buy and delivering that big surprise I was asking for. Really quiet E3 this year, but given the toxic nature of hype in the video game community, keeping passions low is good for public health. It's like No Man's Sky spectre is still hanging over everyone. Edited June 13, 2017 by HaythamKenway
Richard Power Colt
I might be the only one saying this, but Bethesda won for me because of DH2 expansion and Wolfenstein. There were some interesting games in the other conferences, but I think those were the two I care about the most. Outside of those maybe the only thing I already know I'm going to buy is the SOTC remake. BG&E2 also has me highly curious, but I'm just worried what they meant by those online features that were mentioned. Turan
Out of all the conferences Sony had the most games I'm interested in, so that automatically makes them the winner for me. But it was still a dissappointing conference because of the lack of a surprise exclusive. I was expecting a Sucker Punch game at least. I'd give Sony a 8.5/10. Quite a step down from the conference of last year. Ubisoft barely lost out because the pirate game and BGE2 just didn't do it for me. Otherwise they would've been the winner. Uncle Sikee Atric
DeeDogg is in a corner somewhere, holding his PS4 crying. I notice his complete lack of presence in the discussion post conference. The unilateral response to the Sony event makes it clear I did the right thing by having an early night. It says a lot that people thought the PC show was better and had more content! E3 this year has been something of a let down, hopefully events later this year will offer more than E3 did. And Yeah, VR Isn't dead, there is just nothing worth trying to play on it yet. While I think it will eventually replace the screen, the headset just costs too much and is currently too restrictive with limited content. Developers need a few more years to get things right, in the meantime they need to stop rehashing old stuff and trying to make us repurchase It! Go new guys.... Loch Dawg
This wasn't a sh*t E3 but after Sony's mediocre showing I gotta say this was a mild E3. Don't get me wrong, late-2017/2018 looks like a good year of gaming ahead but I have been craving a fat juicy RPG to take control of my life and this E3 just didn't deliver. Mister Pink
1X just had me on a high because every game I want to buy at E3 like The Crew 2, I had in the back of my mind that I'll be playing these on a new 4K TV and new, much beefier console. I'm glad they were at the start. Very strategic because I was looking at all these games with new eyes. The upgrade will the the first TV and console upgrade since I switched from analogue TV and original Xbox and PS2 to 360 and HDTV back in 2007. 10 years ago!
