Well good for you, Weapons are close, but building textures, character textures, etc, are not, if you prefer having higher quality textures over ACCURATE textures then go ahead and do them yourself.

 

IF someone wanted though, a lot of textures from GTA3 PC and GTA3 Xbox (and even Manhunt) can be used here and just colour corrected to match the originals, I did an example of that over a year ago:

im not really after the HD textures i would rather like to do it as a SEPARATE mod for this mod as optional IMO some people (like me) like things like they in original ps2 version

I'm trying to use CLEO Scripts into Vice City but it gives me "unhandled exception". Could anyone help, please?

Widescreen Fix doesn't work either. I've tried downgrading the game, but continued to crash.

But this mod already have widescreen fix inside mss folder you didnt saw that you already have widescreen screen ? :).... also Surya can you make the PSP hud for the mod as optional in eAsler file?

I'm talking about the original GTA Vice City game, not about this LCS 2 VC mod. :p

Textures are not the remastered* ones from Mobile, but the TXDs that were left behind in the mobile version which are that of the PS2 version. And to be fair, Mobile textures suck, they don't match, look like HD packs and even include textures from GTA3 HD mods. At least here it's the legit textures.

 

The ones which got noticed are gone, remember? :whistle:

Surya (and team) has done an amazing job so far. Plus he's already shared progress of his custom LCS-aim which he's working on - something I'd say is a pretty important aspect of the game would you not agree? It doesn't seem to be a two second job as he's been working on it for the past few days, so clearly his mind is focused on achieving that first. I'm sure he has other priorities after nailing that, too.

 

But yet half of these replies are nagging comments about a missing light on one bike?? A missing streetlamp from a few pages back?? The download size being too big??

 

Jesus christ guys, relax and let the man work! He's clearly got more important things to work on, so he's not going to drop everything and fix it just for you!

 

That being said, bloody well done mate. Keep it up and stay true to your vision, not what these mongoloids are demanding.

I agree 100%. And when I post something here, the only goal is help them to find minor issues and fix them when the time is right. That's what everybody had to do: Test and Report.

Nice to see the aim texture is being worked on. Also noticed a bug. Nothing too major but it's the loading screens when going between islands. They are sort of in reverse. The loading screen of "welcome to portland" shwos when entering SDtauton Island, then vice versa for entering back in to Portland. Then the same happens with stuaton showing when entering Shorside Vale and then again vice versa. Nothing big. But thought I'd mention it. Keep up the good work. :)

Yeah I noticed this too, but instead of be the island loading splashes, sometimes they are the loading screen splashes that appears when you start the game.

Another bug I noticed is that sometimes when you load a save game in the stauton or shoreside safehouse. The black wall appears back around them. Obviously this is down to the game thinking you are not there and re-enables the building around the same area the safehouse swaps with it when you enter the interior. Same case obviously applies to the portland one when you save or not since it has been a bug there by default. Think that might be a bit of coding related stuff I am guessing.

 

Also on another note I do like how the VC cheats are still working in LCS but apply to the LCS stuff. So the play as Sonny cheat changes you to Massimo and such and the Mercedes one changes you to Toshiko in her red dress which I think is awesome that you kept them in. Not sure if you ever plan to change the word combos to fit LCS some more or not.

 

But again with how nice the whole map looks it gave me an idea to create a LCS promo looking image with Red dress Tosh and Tuxedo Toni. Had to swap a model around so I could spawn her with the ped spawning script that's in the vleo folder and then the free cam pause the whole game cleo mod too. With the additon of photoshop to get the logo in there. Fun stuff. :)

Anyway Surya can you fix those Light Boxes on light's of cars and bikes this glitch is also in normal gta vc however this glitch is not present in GTA LCS

I've converted the Taxi Driver side mission and made it compatible with the GTA: Liberty City mod. It relies on the source code from this topic. There are variables that rely on them being set somewhere else: $FLAG_PLAYER_ON_MISSION, $PLAYER, $ON_TAXI_MISSION. Coordinates are offsetted but I left the original commented. The Pay'n'Spray icon is changed but I also left the original commented.

Someone reported that when going to staunton island from portland.. .Welcome to Portland is displayed..Could you try the following to fix it:

Go to splash folder and rename SPLASH2 to SPLASH1 and SPLASH1 to SPLASH2
