Can't set a Selfie as an Avatar on Social Club

So I've been having some problems with Social Club's "Selfies and Mugshots" feature and I sent a ticket to support.

They told me "they're aware of the problem and are working on it".

 

They also linked me to this article.

 

QUESTION: When I try to update my Characters image, my Crew Emblem, or my Custom Avatar in Social Club, nothing happens. What is going on?

 

ANSWER: We are currently aware of an issue with image publishing not working correctly on Social Club. This is a temporary problem we are working towards a solution for, and hope to have image publishing back to normal as soon as possible.

This was created on May 11, 2016, EXACTLY one year ago and still nothing's changed.

 

Is there anything I can do from my end?

 

Edit: This is basically what I'm doing without any success

Sometimes for me it usually takes a while for things to update. I waited about a day for my profile avatar to update and 2 hours for my crew emblem to update.

I can set my avatar to any selfies i've taken online and i started playing at the end of the March last year.

I can change my avatar as soon as i upload the selfie, though the avatar i set earlier as the Beast(Before i found out that you can set your selfies as avatar) from GTAO category before the F&F update is still stuck in the iFruit app for android.

Yes, if you've taken selfies with your in-game phone and uploaded to SC then you can set one of them as your avatar.

Did you recently change your name?

Yeah, I had the mugshot as my avatar. Then I changed my name and couldn't change it anymore.

You can change the nickname once a year so recently I deleted all snapmatic pictures, yesterday changed the name through the in-game social club, took a selfie and it still didn't work.

Same as before.

 

That's why I contacted R* Support.
