Wolf of Badenoch
I know this is a month late, but the last revenue-earning Air France Concorde flight was 10 years ago, truly signalling the end of supersonic commercial air travel. I'm still angry at the fact we lost her. Edited June 30, 2013 by Valenta

Wolf of Badenoch
I blame the French for the decommissioning of Concorde so f*ck 'em. Virgin Atlantic were willing to pay over £5 million for the BA Concordes, but any chance of keeping them going were stifled by Airbus' discontinuation of maintenance support. I agree with your last sentiment wholeheartedly. Edited June 30, 2013 by Valenta

RoadRunner71
^ I have some plane models too, as well as ship ones. Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of the planes My favourite fighter jet is the F-14 Tomcat; it's just awesome and love how the wings move. Sad it was retired... Ryan
BAC TSR-2 Just looking at that, it reminds me a lot of the CF-105 Avro Arrow. Shame they cancelled the program. Would have been a hell of a jet.

RoadRunner71
Well, these are my plane models. ^ I never thought that the TBF Avengers were so big; saw one of these in the NY Intrepid museum and gotta say I got amazed. I have big appreciation for this one. It's a Libyan Arab Air Cargo Antonov An-124. I saw a bunch of these some years ago in Lybia, parked in Tripoli and I think Sabha too. The 747 in the above picture was my first model. I remember that in one of the airports of Lybia there were tons of old planes abandoned and rusting. I will see if I find some pictures of them, I don't remember much about it since was like 7 years ago.

RoadRunner71
Wow! Nice models, where did you get the Antonov and b17? The Antonov was gift of someone who went with us the first time I was in Libya (I was just a kid ), as well as the Airbus. Anyway, I think I've seen it, or one similar, in a model kit shop in my city. And I bougth the B17 in a magazine store About the others, the 747 as bought I believe in the Tunisia airport, and the other planes in books stores which also sell models. I also have an F18 and a combat chopper but never finished them Edited July 5, 2013 by RoadRunner71
GTAfiveFAN
No love for prop/turboprop airliners A classic is the aviation world, the Douglas DC-3! Every time I drive into Philadelphia I see one of these taking off, I love the looks of the Bombardier Dash 8 100 I just like how simple the Convair CV-580 looks, and how it was at the top of the line for its time. On a side note, I'm getting a 1:200 model of this exact plane in a couple of days
Outcast
On the contrary. I love turboprops. I was actually on an ATR-72 last week for a short hop from an island. Very rare now that a lot of airlines have replaced their turboprops with E-Jets (at least in this part of the world). The only other place I regularly fly turboprops would be the LA to SD route with United Express. Nothing like an ATR-72 or Q400 though.

GTAfiveFAN
I like how a lot of the airliners Lockheed made were a unique design, or at least designs that were not very mainstream. The picture above is a fine example of that
