Triple Vacuum Seal
Got a raging tech. boner last weekend. Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of seeing a pair of F-15's in what appeared to be a drill of some sort. They continuously flew in a rectangular pattern over west Houston for at least an hour so. I decided to kick back and enjoy the repeated flyovers. The sound alone made my day though they were flying much slower than usual (especially by F-15 standards). Managed to get some footage but the video was too grainy. One fine piece of engineering.... ~Tiger~
Big Bird: Emirates Airbus A380 snapped up close at Manchester Airport (RWY 05 Left). The aircraft weighs almost 600 tons at take off and will fly 3,500 miles to Dubai. Pedinhuh and Outcast
Outcast
TransAsia Airways of Taiwan is shutting down. It's sad because they ran a fleet of ATR-72s which I really enjoyed flying on (I have a thing for turboprops like the ATR-42/72 and Dash 8s). I guess times are a-changing, and it's Embraer E190/195s for my commute flights from now on... Click Ari Gold
Outcast
Just posting from somewhere over the pacific. Got wifi for the duration of my flight to ORD. Never used in-flight wifi on a transpacific flight before! We're living in the future now. HeavyDuke, Mukkus and Triple Vacuum Seal

sivispacem
I've flown on it's successor, the A350 XWB, a couple of times now (both with Finnair). Without a question, the nicest planes I've ever been on board. Outcast
I've not yet had the chance to fly on the A350 yet but I know CI, CX, and SQ all operate them now. I know you can't stop the march of progress but I always felt the A340 was the dragster of the sky, just because it was the only single-deck four-engined aircraft in service (BAe 146 notwithstanding). ~Tiger~
will one day become an all metal fleet I don't have a fleet, just one model Airbus A380 SuperJumbo. This was a gift from friends of mine from Dubai (yes, I am obsessed with this aircraft ha ha) Triple Vacuum Seal and Outcast

Mukkus
I remember thinking how nice it must be to be able to travel like in this video. I work across the street from National Guard base and commercial airport. A 747 for some reason has been parked there for years . We get to watch the annual airshow Blue Angels etc practice during the week, so I'm spared the crowds on show day. Ive seen the Concorde depart from Miami, and Air Force One from Louisiana. Ive also watched a Space Shuttle re-enter. I was awaiting the Columbia when I learned that she had failed en route Edited April 5, 2017 by Mukkus
K1FFLOM
Dunno. That looks too cramped for me. I would rather fly in Etihad's "The Residence", lol. Flew in Etihad's business class to Melbourne last year. Very tasteful. And I am not just talking about the buffets at the lounges.... antiguogrumete
Not even in the GTA game does a commercial aircraft incorporate a system of anti-missile countermeasures such as this Israeli ISRAIR Airbus equipped with a Directed IR Countermeasures (DIRCM) system as solutions to protect aircraft from an attack using ground-based missiles (Manpads) that work by heat search of the aircraft engines. ~Tiger~
Anyone else remembers this one? Ha, yes and quite controversial at the time. That was one of the French (Air France) Concordes. British Airways would never have done such a thing...although they did go through a phase of bizarre tail liveries:
ShadowPerson
Plane background: The Falcon was seized in a unknown airport after the Policia Federal seized a DC-9 packed with drugs, suddenly this jet landed during the operative and eventually seized by the federal forces. The off-record reports mention that this jet was linked to an important Florida´s Senator during the GWB administration, used by a "shadow company" linked to the CIA for drug operations involving El Chapo. Of course everyone denied the knowledge of the jet, after years abandoned the goverment finally take it, repainted, equip it and its currently used for VIP transportation.
