A game in which you play as an animal, like a fox or an alley cat, trying to survive in a small town among both humans and other predators - every night you'd have to find somewhere warm to sleep, as well as fending off attacks from hostile rivals and attempting to find a mate - which would then change the game, as you would suddenly have to take care of your children.

The thing is, the PS3 has been a success but there's been way too many shooters and sci-fi themed games. I'd like a few more titles that are a little offbeat or a little surreal, otherwise this really will be a lost generation marred by repetitive shooters that have nothing new to say to the world.

Hey Typhus, you ever heard of Tokoyo Jungle ? Seems to be pretty much what you just described.

Considering it's Japanese, I really have zero interest in playing it.

Oh, I was intrigued of course. I watched the trailer.

But what do you know? It was filled with the same weirdness I have grown to expect from all their titles. Maybe that stuff flies over there and with certain manga afficionados in the West, but I can't tolerate their f*cked up games.
