Guess it's time to get Plus back after nearly 6 months.

Don't think I'll play through Heavy Rain again, but loved it back in the day.

Standard Deluxe 59

Is there a solution to fixing a "Data is corrupted" pop up when I start a game? It's getting old dismissing about 8 of those messages every time I start up Cities Skylines and redo my settings which always get set back to default after I close the application. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game which didn't help. The error messages started appearing after one of that game's updates.

Detroit was an amazing experience I absolutely loved it and even managed to platinum it, easily top 10. Is Heavy Rain basically the same type of make your choice game?

I've never played Detroit, but I would reckon so. You make your own choices, which can impact the storyline and ending. It's a great game that can really hit you.

Downloaded DBH a few nights ago, played the first two sections last night (or three?  past the prologue).

Definitely reminds me of L.A. Noire, but way more involved and hi-techy.  Loving it.  Absolutely beautiful looking game too.

Was anybody on Team Bondi that did L.A. Noire on this project with this developer?  The world doesn't have the openess of L.A. Noire, but the scenes and the are very reminiscent.

I loved the Connor parts for that reason. He's the more detective style character, and it just resonated with me more. I love that type of stuff.

I hope you enjoy the game. It's well worth the time invested.

I'm disappointed with the PS2 on PS4 section it's just been abandoned for years.

Sony really screwed the poouch by not including Backwards Compability in PS4 at launch like XB1 had and they had several more chances to add it in the newer released consoles but still decided not too, I know several people who switched from PlayStation to XBOX because of the BWC but said if it had been added to PS4 even in the later released consoles they would've switched back

Actually insane how much more I enjoy games since I turned off Trophy Notifications. I've just stopped caring. It allows me to get so much more immersed in the game worlds, not worrying about pointless side objectives for internet points.

I never would have enjoyed Metro as much as I am now. Just playing at my own pace and doing my own thing.

I'd recommend others to do the same if Trophies bother you as much as they bother me. I genuinely miss the days where they didn't exist like on the PS2, but I know some people really like them.

I think I'm gonna take your advice... I've been playing a game for more than 100 hours and replaying it just because I can't get tired of it but when I look at the Trophy porcentaje it's only 30% that really makes me feel like I haven't properly played the game.

Perhaps obvious advice but if you do like going for platinum trophies I'd always say completely ignore every trophy on the first playthrough of any game, whether it's a huge open world or a linear game. If you liked the game enough after finishing it it shouldn't be too bad to go back and replay it for the trophies, even if it's not immediately after.

Detroit seems to be a pretty good example of this, with the multiple choice aspect. It's one of those games where if you play it following some kind of trophy guide first time, it will ruin so many moments from the game because you'll be reading what happens before you see it yourself. I understand there's a lot of people that do this, because they're serious about this sh*t and will probably get 50 platinum trophies per year, but it just sucks the fun out, IMO.

It really is such a massive chunk of your time gone.

Way I see it, I could be playing a different game once I've finished rather than grinding stuff out for Trophies, which let's be honest, don't really mean much at the end of the day. Looks good on your profile, that's about it. Most players couldn't care less.

The most important thing for me is "Is this fun?" and majority of trophies were not fun to get, so it's what helped me make my decision. Detroit was tedious on multiple playthroughs as an example, as I felt like my first experience was the best, second was okay and every playthrough after was grinding.

Yeah I can feel getting a platinum on games like Until Dawn, Detroit Become Human & Days Gone. But not in games like Uncharted 4 even though is probably my favourite exclusive, things like speedruns are not things I enjoy.

I never cared about getting Trophies and never worked towards getting them specificly, If I happened to get one in the course of playing the game great, If not oh well I play the games for fun and it just seems like a grind playing for specific trophies.

I was the same until earlier this year. Biggest mistake I've ever made becoming a 'Trophy Hunter'. I'm glad to be back where I was, as I'm enjoying games more and not trying to rush through them for trophies. Took me a while to realize I was doing it.

I have almost 90 plats and am a lvl 30. I only go for plats now if I really enjoy the game and they’re not too impossible to achieve. But the was a time when I would play anything for an easy plat. Just shows how big your nerd penis is that’s pretty much it.

Yeah, some people play sh*t like Hannah Montana for a Platinum. That's a bit too far too me.

I can understand doing a Platinum for a game you really love, but it feels like some people see it as a job almost. Which is how I was getting, and why I decided to just stop. That's not my idea of enjoying games.

I can feel my first platinum with Days Gone, it's a really enjoyable game and I haven't rushed it... been playing since launch. RDRII it's my favourite current gen game so far but I think I'm done with it regarding trophies.... replaying missions on gold medal and RDO it's not fun for me.

I have zero platinum trophies at this time.

I have several games which have maybe 2-3 trophies left and I may finally achieve my first one with Super Night Riders and Gran Turismo Sport.

For me the biggest problem with trophy system is "online" parts of games. I wasn't an online gamer in the PS3 era (bar GTA Online) therefore a lot of my games from that era have very small percentages
of trophies complete due to the online features of the games no longer being available and me not having online internet back then, to me if an online portion of a game is ended etc the developer should

update the trophy list accordingly but appreciate that would probably be too much work probably!

Trophies were a good idea for games but sometimes just not achievable and one current one (looking at you Team Sonic Racing) is the trophy for Play with 3 Local Co-Op Players...

Online trophies suck. It's actually partly what made me so disinterested in them now. Usually they are just not fun at all. Looking at GTA V.

If Sony had some benefit toward earning them I could understand it, say for every trophy level you achieve it's a % off all future PS Store purchases or maybe a free month of + but as it stands it's just an arbitrary list, the only trophies that I found to be fun were those that encouraged experimentation or exploration in a game, not needlessly grinding for the trophy, there may have only been 1-3 games I platinumed organically without actually trying for any of those trophies just because the games themselves were enjoyable enough and the requirements varied enough to keep an interest in them.

The moment you start grinding towards them you've got to ask yourself if it's actually something that you genuinely enjoy.

Doesn't XB/Microsoft offer something like that? Where you're able to earn points doing something that you can then spend in the store on things like Avatars and such?

I had an XB1 for a while but never really used it as I mostly played on playstation so I don't remember how it worked

How is Assassin's Creed Odyssey for anyone that played it?

I'm really enjoying Ezio Collection and I'd kind of like to dive in to a new Assassin's Creed. I've heard the map is huge with lots to do.

I've been enjoying the game a lot recently. Like Heavy Rain, but with much better graphics and movements. It's more realistic with the choices, too. The game is incredible. It also makes me think about how it would be if Androids became a real thing in the future.

We need more games like this.

90gb update for Black ops 4?  WTF?!!!!!   Someone is taking the michael.

Black Ops 4 is terribly optimised. I have to be very careful with my 500GB PS4 and what other games I install because you literally need like 90GB free just to do an Update, it's crazy. The Call of Duty games take up so much space. Between that and GTA V, it's a lot of free space gone.

How do memory expansion boxes work? Do you just plug them in and it automatically connects to the ps4 or is it a lot more complicated than that? I don't really want to waste $85 on something I won't figure out how to use.

In settings select devices then usb storage devices.  It ishould give you the option to format for ps4 use.   If not it will be in the storage option.

Make sure it's usb3 and delete any content on the external drive before plugging it into the console.   Sometimes the PS4 will not recognize external drives if they have files pre installed.
