why did they rename it 'Canis Canem Edit'?

I believe Cannis Canem was the PAL version of the game. Something to do with the naming of the game, I think. It means 'dog eat dog' or something.

but can you also explain why a 2006 PS2 game costs $23?! You can get discounted AAA PS4 titles with that kind of money.

It's called Canis Canem Edit in the UK because our government are pussies and think Bully is too inappropriate for a game title because people get bullied in real life. Yeah it does mean Dog eat Dog in Spanish (i think)

Why is it $23? I dunno, that is far too much but ahh well, sh*t happens.

Very good news indeed, atleast these games were fun unlike modern games. Current gen is by far the worst of all genereations. Majority of games today are average at best, and if this trend continues im starting to fear the next gen.

Dang, I'm up to my elbows in games right now, you could say I'm back logged.

- Still trying to finish The Witcher 3, it just doesn't want to end I guess. I'm not complaining though. Great game. You know how Skelige can be though, time consuming.

- I'm almost done with Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, maybe a small number of missions left and the WWI area to cover.

- Cod: Black Ops III I'm only waiting on zombies maps to drop to play them. I'm pretty much done with MP in these Cod's anymore. After playing them for almost ten years, yeah I've had my feel of them.

- I'm also still trying to finish the DLC area on Dying Light.

- Just Cause 3 is a train wreck on PS4 right now. Frame drops so bad it will make you cridge. Hopefully down the road they fix it.

- I'm only on the first episode on Life Is Strange.

- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom pain I'm stuck on a mission. Its only mission 13 or 14 as well I think.

- I still need to finish The Order: 1886

I should be getting my Xbox 360 copy of Dark Souls this week to use on BC on X1. I never played it yet. I am also waiting on my copy for DSII: Scholar of The First Sin for PS4 to arrive as well. Only a couple of weeks away from Quantum Break and Dark Souls III and then in May is Uncharted 4.

I guess I felt the same way right when the X1 and PS4 first released, especially not having anything to play. But now is a totally different story.

^ I have the exact opposite problem as you. I have nothing to play at all.

I may get the GTA trilogy on PS4 since it's on sale atm. Hopefully that will keep me busy until UC4 releases.

I'm backlogged to the sh*thouse in games, too many open world games on current gen. Rocket league always sucks away most my gameplay time, and if it weren't for the huge framerate problems so would tower of guns.

Luckily i haven't heard of any new games worth getting coming out soon, so i guess it sucks to be you dbns :/

I'm in the exact same boat, I even bought a copy of Loeb Rally over a month ago and still haven't played it. Shame JC3 is currently so bad but I'm sure it'll be fixed, right now I'm torn between GTA and Fallout for what little gaming time I have.

your 100% right on Rocket League too, I always boot that up for a quick 5 min play, then eventually finish an hour and a half later...

Only reason I didn't get Fallout 4. I've had The Withcer 3 since May and I'm only in Skellige at the moment. I just didn't feel right getting Fallout 4 when The Witcher 3 is still sitting there. Maybe one day I'll be able to finish The Witcher 3 and then I will consider Fallout 4. But 2016 is already as busy as my 2015 I had which was real busy. Time......we could all use some extra thats for sure. A 36 hour day would do just fine with me. 24 hours just isn't enough for me a day.

I tried, and quit, Bully back when it was released so I really don't remember much about it.. How well has it's control system held up? I'd like to give it a whirl, but then again GTA3:VC was always my favourite and it turns out that the controls are nigh unplayable in 2016 after getting used to everything else and I frankly don't enjoy it very much because of that.

So, how's Bully play? I'd like to try it again.

Game's still great of course. But the controls and the camara angles are a pain in the ass. Vice CIty is actually not that bad once you played Bully. ^^ Anyway... i enjoy the game nonetheless. Not sure if it's really worth the money tho.

I love to drive PCJ-600 and Washington in the sunset (on PC), they're quite comfortable, others drive so nervous, shooting mechanics could be better too, but this game has something modern games lacks, tons of fun that is, im gonna 100 % soon in VC, this thread helped me to return to this fantastic game, thanks !

They've got to be f*cking half retarded, and half blind to think they will be able to sell Bully at over $20. Bully is a fantastic game no doubt, and makes it in the history books but there is no way a sane person will be buying a 10 year old game from 2 generations ago for the price of lots of PS3 games and even some PS4 games.

Seems the Foulplay app for Win10 has stopped picking up messages, annoying as it's a great app and a damn sight easier than typing on the PS4, but they seem to break every other week!

Back then

Feel the itch to play one of my many PS2 games, simply pop the game in and play

Now

Feel the itch to play of my my few PS4 games, remember I don't have enough space to install games and I will have to erase some games before I can install it and play and then lose urge to play altogether.

I mean every time I pop a game in and wait to install, because I gotta delete these 50gb games to make room for my 10gb updates, even if it ain't really 10 gigs, thats what the PS4 needs and it tells me I need to delete sh*t to clear space, even though I have 45gb free

I wouldn't have to deal with this sh*t if I wen't and spent additional cash on an drive just for the PS4 though I guess...

Man, I really hope the new PS4 will have a GPU upgrade. More importantly, I hope the console cycles will be shorter from now on. I'm prepared to buy a new console once every three years.

Just save me from the hell that is PC gaming. I've been into PC gaming for over 2 years now and I'm sick of it. Even though games run fine most of the time, I have been dealing too many damn times with issues that made games unplayable. Just recently, both GTAV and The Division keep frustrating me. GTAV ran perfectly fine for the past year, but now I can't play the damn game because of a f*cking windows update. And it seems it is a rare problem too, so who knows if it will ever be fixed. Before that, somewhere last year, there were also performance problems with it. Luckily Rockstar did fix that though. The Division runs at a stable 30 fps at all times. Yet every single f*cking time I play the game, randomly, there is this extreme framerate drop which makes the game unplayable. I figured out that alt+entering fixes it, but sometimes it doesn't. And when it doesn't, well, I may as well quit the game and do something else.

And that is just from recent issues I've had with PC gaming. If consoles can keep up with technology (unlike ps3 and x360), then I will finally say goodbye to PC gaming. That is the only thing keeping me from going console only.

Bring on the PS4K. And the shorter console cycle.

I am in the same position with Fallout 4. Bought it 2 months ago and not even visited Diamond city yet for the main quest, have pumped in some serious hours into the game upto a month ago, then moved in with my girlfriend and now I am lucky to get 30 minutes a night....... and then work on top of that... I HATE TIME!

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone (the 80s version) this woman found a watch and everytime she said 'shut up' time would pause and she was free to do what she wants for as long as she wants.

I need to find this watch!

I hope the PS4.5 rumours are true but at the same time is it the right thing for SONY to do? And the VR looks amazing but i will get it if they let other games be compatible like COD or GTA would be amazing

I like the whole idea of PS4K, but I need more details regarding this upgrade which is really foggy at the moment. I can't see the feature being able to handle 4K gaming. I know how much it costs for a pc build rig to produce that kind of resolution for games. So games are not going to play in 4K, right? Is the upgrade for just having 4K video on the console? Is the upgrade going to help devs hit the 1080p mark were already at, but making it easier for them to get there kinda thing?

I'm just kinda really in the dark on the matter. If anyone knows details I don't, please reply.

Edit: I found some interesting articles regarding the Pros and Cons of this move by Playstation.

1. Pro: More power

Obviously, a more powerful console can run games that look better, load faster, and take advantage of new display technology, like 4K televisions. All of those things would be exciting to PlayStation 4 gamers. A power boost would also bring the PlayStation 4 hardware closer to top-of-the-line gaming PCs, which have only been pulling farther and farther away in the two years since it came out.

2. Con: It would split the user base

If we had two versions of the PS4, developers might not be able to take full advantage of the more powerful one.

Last year Nintendo released the new Nintendo 3DS, which is — you guessed it — a more powerful version of the original 3DS. It noticeably shortens load times, and it lets owners play a small handful of “New 3DS-only” games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and the new Super Nintendo Virtual Console games.

The problem with this — and the reason hardly anyone is making games that only run on the New Nintendo 3DS — is that only a small percentage of 3DS owners have the New 3DS. Making a New 3DS-exclusive game is a bad business decision because it would be cutting out the vast majority of 3DS owners.

The same logic would apply to a PlayStation 4.5. If a developer wanted to take full advantage of the extra power of the PS4.5, it would be turning its back on the 36 million people who already own an original PS4.

3. Pro: It could power a better PlayStation VR experience

On the plus side, a more powerful PS4 would be able to crank out better virtual reality experiences for anyone who buys the PlayStation VR when it launches in October. PS VR is by far the most affordable major VR headset launching this year, but it’s also the weakest. Both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive require computers with significantly more horsepower than the PS4 to run, which translates into a smoother, better-looking VR gaming experience.

A more powerful version of the PS4 would be able to deliver more technically impressive VR games. And if VR is going to be as big as many people think, that could be a big deal.

4. Con: No one likes to double dip

Sony releasing a more powerful PS4 would be kind of a jerk move since 36 million (and counting) gamers have bought the vanilla PS4. Each of those customers would have to decide whether to buy a new version of a console they already own. Many of these people spent up to $400 on the PS4 not long ago. Asking for hundreds of additional dollars for something that’s not a PlayStation 5 might not sit well with PS4 owners.

5. Pro: It’s good for people who held off buying a PS4

On the other hand, if you’re one of the many gamers who haven’t taken the plunge on a PS4, you might want to keep holding off until Sony makes an announcement about the PS4.5 (assuming it’s a real product). After all, there’s no reason to blow your savings on a soon-to-be-outdated system if a better version is right around the corner.

For the record, we have no idea when or if a PS4.5 will come out. But if it does, your patience would be rewarded if you wait.

- Number 2 is by far I think the biggest risk there taking. Some players might get fed up and leave altogether since X1 is pretty good now.

From what I've read it has more to do with the streaming services offering 4k support for TV and Movies. The PS4 didn't have that support nor for the blu-ray 4k disks. In addition they're probably going to improve the VR support in the newer model. It'll probably improve the latency and maybe the resolution, but the VR isn't going to be 4k. If that's the case I don't see it bifurcating the market since the games will play the same. Maybe faster loading time or improved textures if they improve the GFX card, but that would be it.

So if I am only using this upgrade for gaming, not 4k streaming of movies and TV shows. Do I even need to go buy a 4k tv since everything gaming wise will still be 1080p and below? The upgrade I'm sure will help games run better and smoother.

One would assume it would run games smother, but IDK. When the PS4 came out the 4k TV's weren't that popular. Now SONY wants to sell more 4K TV's and they need a product that will support it. That's probably why they have this mid-life update. If I had to guess it'd be like the difference between the original PS3 and the slimline PS3. The slim put out less heat due to miniaturization, in effect the slim ran games better because it wasn't as hot. But it's not as big of a jump as say more RAM or a faster processor. That's just a guess tho, without seeing the final product.

You guys ever had overheating issues? I've had my PS4 abot 20 months and played it an absolute ton in that time, including lots of 12+ hour nonstop sessions. And whilst it has gotten hot plenty of times and made lots of noise, the PS4 has never told me it's getting too hot or warned me. But over the last 3 days I've had a lot of warning messages from it, telling me to turn it off because it's too hot. The bluey white LED on top also turns red. It's only happened when I've been playing BO3 online. Each time these messages have come up I've turned it off within 5 minutes of them appearing, finishing the game I'm in first. Then earlier it turned itself off before I could finish my game and do it myself.

I've given it a clean and dedusting, including on the inside after taking the case off. That's the first time I've actually taken the case off and cleaned the inside, and it was pretty dusty. Also positioned it better so there aren't any obstructions around it to to affect the airflow or anything like that. Hopefully it's ok now, I really don't want to have to buy a new one.

I dread your situation. Its gonna happen to most of us, just hasn't happened yet. Its hard to keep nice air around the console without it getting dusty.
