Have 4 accounts. Not even one getting a chance for beta update. lol

Testing sh*t for a company shouldn't be treated as a prize. Some poor sob is out of a job because of your eagerness to do it for free :/

If you're unsure, best you don't buy it.

Ehhh too late . well . i had that only 45 Budget . aren't too many great games for that price , plus . i can sell my hard copy or lent it to a friend and play with each other ( the crew is awesome at that aspect ) , 50 percent is a good deal . that bundle's price was 89 Dollars but now its 45 , w/ the extra 10 percent for PS Plus owners , its 40 percent for people w/o PS Plus . so 53 . offer ends on 16 / 17th march if you are interested . plus well , i own NFS but it lacks in PvP aspects . friend mainly play BO3 anyway

Got a little dilemma, not sure if I should get all of the uncharted games and tlou on ps4 or get them on ps3. Should I fork out extra cash for better visuals? I'm kinda leaning more towards ps3 since it's essentially the same game. Can I get anyone's advice.

That is a dilemma...

I personally would collect all of them if you can over a period of time of course if you can afford it, Uncharted 1 for instance on PS4 is amazingly upgraded compared to the PS3 version and it is handy to have all 3 games available on one disc...

Uncharted 2 and TLOU on ps3 are up there at the top of best PS3 titles so if you have a PS3 collection you'll want them in it for sure, maybe buy them pre owned for cheap. I just re purchased Uncharted Drakes Fortune original version today for extremely cheap but will never play that disc just for the collection. I have all the Uncharteds for PS3 but got them cheap pre owned (I dislike the platinum and greatest hits versions of games)

PS4 can record video and screenshots and has many trophies and extra trophies if that matters to you...man, It's a hard decision if you have to pick one version how much cheaper is it really? sorry I didn't really help much.

Important note. If you purchase the Nathan Drake Collection find the Original sand coloured box art/cover version as now they have replaced that with an ugly tacky Value pack style cover.

Only logical choice is to get Uncharted for the PS4. I've played them all on PS3 and PS4 and if you settle for the PS3 versions you'll be kicking yourself until completion.

I agree with them as well. If you get the PS3 versions, the whole time in the back of your head, your gonna be kicking yourself for not getting the PS4 versions. In console gaming I have found out you never settle for less, your just gonna kick yourself for it and not enjoy like you should. I have Uncharted: TNDC and having Nathan Drake in 60fps is awesome. The visuals are really good as well. So really you could weigh it like this: 60fps vs 30fps if you wanted. They both look good, TNDC just looks a tad better and smoother.

Most of it is doubtful given the current state of things. Sony has been talking about an upgraded hardware version for a few months now, and it was only until last month that Microsoft begin talking about something similar.

While I agree that this is something they need to consider because of the non-linear progression of tech, it's hard to say whether or not it is yet feasible given that consoles benefit from bundling and mass-production of hardware specifications in order to lower costs. Also, maintaining some level of parity on both platforms will be advantageous to the industry as a whole, and thus both companies must be aware of the specs that either is planning for future upgrades.

So not totally hogwash, but something worth keeping an eye on in the future.

Looks like it might augment the VR headset that SONY is putting out. Makes sense for the higher specs without any latency. Doubt that game makers will put out two different versions, one for 1080 and another for 4k. Though it'd bee cool to play V in 4k without getting a PC.

The developers will still use the PS4 (and XB1) as the basis for their games. For the 'new' PS4 (PS4K) they will just bump up the graphical settings, framerates and/or resolution. This way the PS4 will still remain relevant while the PS4K will be the alternate option for gaming enthusiasts.

Not feasible. You are looking at specs that rival top end pcs. The people willing to spend that much will just get a pc.

As long as games are still made for the PS4 and I don't have to buy a new console for 3 or 4 years.

But there are people who want convenience for their leisure system, put it in the bedroom or living room, and turn it on straight directly to a browser made for couch gaming.

Personally, if I really really care about 4K graphic, I'd still buy a PS4 for gaming while keeping my laptop as workstation.

Put a 2tb laptop drive, best ps4 investment by far.

No one is saying that consoles don't provide a level of casualness, but 4K is barely a standard on PC, so it's a bit ridiculous to expect the same from consoles. At most, an upgrade should support VR, and thus maintain games at 720/1080p at 30 FPS. That's all it needs and ever will need at this point. The novelty of virtual reality itself is enough to overcome "muh resolution and framerate" for the time being.

1080p isn't even the standard, really, it's 1366*768. VR also wouldn't work as anything besides a gimmick on the PS4 since VR is incredibly demanding. 4K may not be necessary on a TV you're sitting meters away from, but it certainly is more than just a luxury on a screen that's mere millimeters away.

Agreed, £60 for a 2tb drive and a couple of hours of transfer and she runs a good one. I'll possibly upgrade it again to an SSD when those prices drop and put the 2tb drive into my Laptop, but for now its a quick and simple option, and if your lucky can work out cheaper than buying a 1tb console.

Depends on how powerful the GPU will be. I don't think it will be something like a 980. That would be too expensive. If the price is supposed to be 400-500, and if this new PS4 is to be released in 2017 or 2018, then I can see it having something like a 970.

By the way, I don't think console gamers would want to switch over to PC because of something like price or short console cycle. The ease of use of a console should not be underestimated compared to a PC.

I never think that would happen honestly, you would need a $500 GPU around the likes of a 980/Fury (or Nano) to get a least a playable experience at 4K, and that's with High-ish settings.

I really think it would be wise for the Playstation VR to be available on PC as well... so it could reach broader auidences. Yes, they are losing the ''Only on PlayStation'' type feature which is really a pushing force to say at the very least for selling more units, but the exclusivity will be far outweighed by the increased sales IMO.

Unless you wanna unscrew the console and void your warranty, then there isn't any possible way to get rid of it.

Can't remember if I mentioned it...but I got PT back and I'm really happy about it as I lost during the 2TB HDD install and before the "back up" ability.

I've seen people on the net that don't seem to know it's easily re-downloaded, so if you had it and lost it you'll be able to download it again (at your own risk). Was really happy about it as it's not on the store anymore, but after playing it again the novelty's worn off and having played Layers Of Fear it is a much greater experience.

You can only re-download it if you downloaded it when it was available, so not sure if anyone here is in that situation, but I have to let people know.

Link to Instructions (I can confirm it does work)

^ That's interesting. They haven't even installed homebrew and yet they were able to download a game to their PS4 without Sony's permission.

IT BEGINS
