I dont if my ps4 super charges my remote or something but it was on 1 bar and was at full bar after a few minutes of restmode? Usually it took 2 hours now its a few minutes? Not complaing but its weird unless the new update is the reason for super charging my remote who knows.

Well it's kind of deciful because it's not really a full charge kind of like with the old cell phones when you plugged it in with it turned off and you turned it on after 15 minutes it'd say a full battery but once you've unplugged it, It would drop down but yeah after about 15-20 minutes on rest charger it does give it a decent charge.

Hey, sorry if this has been answered already, but I thought I knew how to do it. How do I shorten the length of saved video clips? I wanna shorten them to like 30 seconds. Don't I have to use the editing program to do it?

Yeah you can trim them through the Share Factory app, I think you can manually start a clip by tapping on the share button to begin and then press it once when you're done.

Go to the Capture Gallery icon, which will list all photos and videos, then press information on the clip, and it should have a trim option. This is good for trimming clips without going into Share Factory.

 

 

 

Anyone know if the HDMI cable end, the shiny bit you plug in is supposed to stick out a tiny little bit from the console port... I read about the damaged HDMI ports on release of PS4, my console works great, but I am getting random LCD pixels which appear for a second as white then disappear, nothing major just wondering if I should be worried. My TV has no effects/filter running, it's just a cheap LCD without those things.

 

Also is it normal for the power cable plug inlet to be a bit rattly, like you can wiggle it a bit up and down a tiny bit?

 

Lastly Anyone with a plastic decal type skin on their PS4, does it greatly increase the heat of the system, and does the skin warp when heated?

anyone else the same, is all the metal inside so the Plastic is flush with the PS4 plastic.

 

My ps4 is working fine, should I take it apart to tighten up the power supply screws as that's what the power inlet is attached to.

So, here it is. Someone finally discovered the problems with Xbone and the suspend/resume feature, and more specifically, the problems it causes with GTA Online. This is now applicable to PS4's suspend/resume feature.

Essentially, the PS4 has a problem with Rest mode. Anytime you play a game like GTA, it establishes connections using specific port numbers. They're like doorways with locks, and in order for GTA to effectively communicate across the internet, the PS4 requests that these specific doorways be unlocked via the router. This is essentially what UPnP is on your router. The problem with UPnP is that after a certain amount of time, the ports expire for security reasons. No biggie, right? The PS4 will just re-request that the specific doorway or port be unlocked again for communication. Wrong, and this is where the problem occurs.

 

When you place the console in Rest mode, information about a particular game is suspended in cache. This includes information about game ports, and some games, like GTA, use specific ones. So when these ports resume from stand-by and attempt to re-request information, they can't, because their terms have expired. PS4, for some ridiculous reason, does not re-request that the previous ports be re-opened. Thus, the doors remain locked.

 

So, what's the fix? You need to turn off UPnP and manually set your ports via the router. This will prevent the PS4 from attempting any automatic requests for ports to be opened, and instead, leaving them open indefinitely as if you were shoving a doorstop in the doorway. Another way to do this without putting in every port is to place your console in a DMZ, which essentially opens every port for the PS4. There's really no risks in doing this, since it's just a console and not your PC. But remember, TURN OFF UPnP. That's really the essential part of this whole issue.

 

Also, Type 2 NAT is what you want. It means moderate, but not in the sense that you think. PS4 rates a moderate NAT as simply being behind a router. The only way to get a Type 1 NAT is to have your console directly connected to your modem.

 

So now you can enjoy your suspend/resume feature for PS4!

From there, there should a section for gaming and applications. There's an area for Single Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding. For PS4, I use both because there's 3 port ranges. Also, turn of UPnP, and remember to set your PS4 to use a static IP. Use the link below and select your modem. It should give your more detailed instructions from there.

Yay! All done. I finally got around to installing the dome thumbstick for the right side. The convex shape is much more superior and sensitive to the touch when aiming and changing camera angles. The one on the left is a spare Xbox One concave thumbstick. I prefer that for left side because I tend to be more violent and aggressive with that stick for movement and sprinting.

I like Gun Tower it's pretty fun, I got the other two PS4 free games also, then I was just searching all of PSN for anything that was free and I downloaded the "Atom Universe" demo. No menu or anything to say what the h*ll to do, so I just amalgamated (piggy backed) as many people as I could into one. I think it's broken

 

Anyone know what the deal is with this demo?

Replaced my PS4 coz of this damn error >> (CE-34878-0)

The guy checked the box and it's clear that there is no controller. Only PS4 and its cable. Instead of opening the new one, they just gave me the whole thing and I ended up with a new shiny controller
