So I finally gave in..

I can't remember what the first glitch I did was, but it was in 2013 and it had to do with just driving your car into LSC, selling it but backing out. The money was instantly added and you kept the car.

 

In total I've glitched something like 200ish mil, but I only have 40mil right now, and 11 of that is legit.

 

I bought a lot of cars that I ended up getting rid of after fully modding them. That's where the majority of it went. sh*t like fully upgraded lowriders really sank the bank. I don't know why I bought them all, but at the time I had plenty of money. Wasn't until after where I had 3 mil with new updates coming out and I had to sell a lot of my cars.

 

Oh well. If it wasn't for glitches I would have quit in early 2014.

hmmm, glitches i have taken advantage of:

 

the very first car dupe glitch.....i didn't do too much, that sh*t was boring.

 

there was some kind of chaos about a year or two ago (maybe longer) where someone hacked the game and created missions that were beyond crazy and easy. you'd go out to a field by tremors airport and police would spawn. you'd kill them and then at the end get ~75k a pop. i ran laps around this when it happened before rockstar shut it down.

 

outside of the one above, the most money i've made in short time was the pac stan bonus week and we did the karma and replay glitch. double money back to back to back, etc.

I remember that crazy mission. Didn't know it was glitched or something until it suddenly disappeared from my list.

Field of Screams I think the creator called it? Fun stuff. Grabbing a Cargobob and swooping in to grab the tractor while other players were taking down a small army of tough NPC's.

 

Also thought that this meant we'd be seeing more custom made co-op jobs, but unfortunately I was wrong.

Well i had money dropped on me before i could see my character and even then it took some time for me to realize what was going on. I had like 4.5 mil dropped on me. I contacted R* but like a few already stated, they said i should wait for the next patch in order for it to be deleted. Well f... that. I have had my share of issues with this game being broken in a lot of places. Like buying cars which never showed up but my money was taken nonetheless. R* support doesnt care. Not one issue was solved that i reported. I didnt even get my money back. So as of today im broke as hell bc yesterday i bought all expensive cars, a hydra, a cargobob, the 3 mil vehicle wh and a 10mil yacht and then some sh*t. Cost me 53 mil but like i said ... f*ck it! One of my greatest joys until now was to wait for discounts and then to buy stuff. but not anymore ...

yeah, there was some weird sh*t where the dude that created it even did a public apology.

 

back then the most people were getting was ~30k for rooftop rumble and coveted. but it was a four day gift. there was a field of screams I, II, II, IV in four consecutive days (i feel like it was three, though.)

 

i think i found out about it from this place. you'd select this job and make a ton for what the economy was back then. that was a fun couple of days. none of us could believe it because that kind of hack was never done or available. all the randoms i played with, none of us could believe it, but we all took advantage.

I was given money three times. I never asked for it.

The first time, I got around 200k millions. I used it to buy what I wanted, but very soon, I realized it ruined the game for me. So I've sold all cars I've bought with it and managed to get rid of the money. I was worried about getting banned so I sent a ticket to R* support to report the fact I was given money, to explain the f*cked up stats.

 

The second and third times, I got only 250k and 500k, so I decided to keep it and not report it. I had millions legit at the time so I didn't care much.

 

But it's very annoying. those retards don't ask if you want it or not, they just throw it.

The second time it was really WTF. I was in an activity lobby, ready to start, and suddenly I saw money bags falling on my character. WTF I was not even in free roam, I couldn't do anything but leave.

The third time I was litteraly embushed. I was doing the "Tequila-la" biker mission. I noticed some players were outside. I thought they were waiting to kill me but when I got out, I was given money bags... The time I realized what was happening, I got 500k. I left the session as fast as I could.

When it first started happening around a month into GTA PC release I thought nothing of it and just thought that Rockstar would fix it that week seeing as they sell shark cards. Oh boy was I wrong.

 

Makes me wonder if they're still making money from these shark cards at all because every time I join a lobby there are always people asking for free cash now.

One time, on the Xbox 360. I killed a player that had a bounty and apparently it was a $100 million bounty. I didn't spend any of it, reported it to Rockstar, and it was removed a couple days after. Never had glitched/modded money given to me, ever again.

This is what makes modders and hackers arseholes. If you want to hack around with your own game, do whatever you want. Personally I enjoy the progression of making money and buying stuff that I've earned the right to own. What gives you the right to f*** with my game?

 

It's my belief that a lot of the people who whine about GTAO being boring are the same ones that glitched, modded or bought (shark cards) in-game money, bought everything in the game and then have nothing to work towards, but that's another discussion.

 

It happened to me back on the 360 that someone dropped $500m or so on me. I sent them a message telling them how p***ed off I was and they sent some whiney 'not my fault' response. I then opened a support ticket with R* with the exact amount I'd been given, asking for it to be removed from my account, which they did pretty promptly.

 

I never spent a penny of that modded money although it still shows up on my social club stats as 'Shared' money.

While gameplay & progression remains in the repetitive grindey state its in, there will always be people who look for an easier way, & I dont blame them.. These days if theres no one online to play with & actually interact with then I dont play GTAO. Playing these gamemodes solo just feels like another job to me. Dont see how anyone else finds that fun..

I did the Pacific Bank glitch a few times with some friends, maybe about 9 months after heists came out.

I've earned about $80mil legit money since Feb. 2014, and I didn't play anything between June 2014 when my PS3 crashed during a tournament, and Dec. 2014 when my wife bought me a PS4 for Christmas.

So of that $80mil, maybe 3-4mil is illegitimate.

If it weren't for that glitching seems like a lot of work to do, and it takes a friend, I'm really never in the mood to do it.

If someone wanted to drop me a few hundred mil with a glitch, I'll happily accept it. The grinding is getting old.

Just bought my first Special Vehicle the other night (Voltic) and nearly died laughing as I jumped from building to building...roll backwards off a roof, try to boost to ramp off of it, but end up flying backwards because my vehicle started to tip and lean back when I hit the rocket boost...Seriously, my sides were hurting so bad. I'm broke again ($100k in the bank...don't be jealous), but it was totally worth being broke.

Never glitched or cheated. I got money dropped on me during the Billionare Era, bought everything aside from a Rhino, wasn't high enough level back then lol.

 

Other than that though, I don't think I have ever recieved any cash.

@ Flexx... Of course I read it, He knew how to avoid previous drops and keep them at a minimum, but then decided to allow it, like so many, 'oh, it just happened' is the usual bullsh*t now... So many that use that excuse to hide and justify their deliberate searching for the EWO... Bless.

This is a video game and you should treat it as such. There is no reason any person has to "justify" how they play a video game.

The reason I decided to "allow" the drops is because I've stopped caring for the game. Haven't even played it since posting this thread.
