Yeah, I'm not gonna spend all of my gaming time on grinding the same gamemode over and over again, glitching myself all of this money massively improved my experience and let me play the game just the way I want to.

Both my accounts are still 100% clean. But I seem to have been lucky getting the heads up when the hacking gets bad and duck out of public lobbies until the 5h1t blows over.

Looks like the OP is seeking a general thumbs up from the community?

The bottom line is, most other people don't care how much money you have in your account or what you did to get it. That hangs on you.

The thing you've got to watch out for is getting caught by the next Rockstar money sweep - being detected for having such a large flux of money going in and out of your account. Rockstar will probably detect this unnatural flow of money and take action, who knows, and that's why most glitchers earn or sell in small increments so that they're not constantly looking over their shoulder for the axe to fall.

It doesn't make any difference what you did to me personally, but I wouldn't want to log in this evening not knowing whether my account will be wiped/reset/banned or whatever.

Never glitched money, never accepted modder cash. Did get some modded cash during DNS days, but Rockstar removed it after I asked.

However, I'm a week one player with 151 Million legit sooo

Is this The Guy?

I don't think I ever asked for money, don't remember that part it was a while ago, but I know I didn't complain lol. Shameful me

By the time the money wipe came I had just over 12 billion.

I remember I got some billion dollar bounties and got money drops in free mode at first. My first character was over level 150 (legitimately) at the time so I figured I work on my second. Got invited to a criminal records race and won over 100 million ( or was it thousand?). Was getting thousands for robbing stores, millions for missions and races and It was fun but than my character got stuck in it. Thought that character was doomed to be stuck in those lobbies forever so I switched back to my main and He was stuck in it as well.

Forgot what i did to fix it, think I reset my connection a bunch of times before it eventually went back to normal.

There really wasn't much to buy back then so I was just buying a bunch of super cars and duping them to the less fortunate

My account was so bad that when it got swept I was left with $0 cash and bank lol.

Have to say I did pretty well after that though, had to rob some stores at first to refill ammo but overall didn't really miss the money

I have never been any kind of money, glitched or otherwise. Was born human and will probably die that way.

If you recieve cash from a script kiddie, I would suggest to spend only the legit money you have and make a R* support ticked asking them to remove the modded amount. Most likely, they won't, but never hurts to try.

Too late for that, it's apparently the new epidemic. I was transferred into back to back lobbies of this which were separated days apart. After the second time (earlier today) I made a ticket telling R* to remove whats left of the money (and you're right, they didn't).

You're probably one in a thousand who didn't get at least a few hundred million in those days. I had three bounties of a billion placed on me in those days and survived two and gave one to a friend, and saw dozens of those bounties placed on others as well, quite a few that I got too. Even if you didn't hunt them or didn't get one placed on you, chances were high you got a few hundred million is shared cash from other players in those weeks.

In my time I've seen very few billion dollar bounties and they were typically very far from my location, so I never pursued them. Moreover the shared cash was even less frequent in lobbies I was joined too, and it wasn't being forced on everyone in the session by whoever was doing it. Maybe I just kept leaving at the first sign of it? This was years ago, I don't really remember specifics.

This poll is broken. You can only vote if you vote on both poll questions, but in the second question we're told not to vote unless we voted a certain way on question 1.

Fail.

Sorry, didn't mean to make you cry and/or piss your pants, princess.

@ The-Irish-Hunter... Trust me, there's no crying here. OP can play however they wish, makes no difference to me, of course, i was disappointed i lost an account, and thats why i completely disagree with the weak players that look for it... And my time on GTA was very much enjoyed, still is to this day... Bless.

Hardly a matter of "playing how you wish" when money is being forced deposited onto your account every session you join. Did you actually read the OP?

Looks like the OP is seeking a general thumbs up from the community?

The bottom line is, most other people don't care how much money you have in your account or what you did to get it. That hangs on you.

lol ? You've read me wrong. I advise you read some of my older post (circa 2015/14); I use to go around this forum just sh*tting on peoples heads, I'm not looking for an okey doke from the community. I was just curious in finding out if anyone still managed to have their account clean, as I intended. Unfortunately this just about ruins the game for me and I'll probably stop playing.

I've already sent a ticket to R* to remove the residual, and I'm just about over this game (at least for a few months) so future sweeps aren't really a concern of mine.

For anyone who has had modded cash at any point and gotten money removed by Rockstar, a question!

Was the amount removed equal to or greater than the amount received in this illegitimate manner? If it's equal, then I don't really see any strong downside to it other than some players perhaps not foreseeing this event and using all too much money on purchases, ending up with nothing after the wipe.

If it's MORE or even your entire account cleared, then I wonder if all "cash droppers"(?) are really malicious players or if some of them are ignorant and generous.

yes , money dropped on my character in the past , thus I changed the sessions immediately (but unfortunately I still got some cash droppping on me )

NEVER asked for it though ... I do want R* to delete all the modded money I recieved but like I said , I don t know exactly how much exactly ( must be around 5 milli though , maybe more) , plus R* seems not to care about it for some reasons so ...

Was playing since Januar 2016 and my overall earnings are around 200M$ , so 5M$ modded money is actually nothing ...

but seriously though , it´s R*´s fault , they need to catch the real modders and block all these Mod Menus , otherwise ppl will still get cash , no matter if they asked for it or not ....

Went afk for dinner couple of days ago so i parked my character infront of the tv so i dont log out of the session. Came back to find over 100mill cash deposited onto my character.

Cant really be arsed to ask R* to remove it so i just spend it on some pegasus vehicles and upgraded my cheaper apartments to the more expensive ones. Bought a couple of cars aswell.

Its nearly impossible to stay clean in this game. I do tend to leave lobbys with modders as soon as i find out that there are modders in there.

@ Flexx... Of course I read it, He knew how to avoid previous drops and keep them at a minimum, but then decided to allow it, like so many, 'oh, it just happened' is the usual bullsh*t now... So many that use that excuse to hide and justify their deliberate searching for the EWO... Bless.

If it makes no difference to you then why have you openly accused others on the forum of cheating or having modded accounts? Why not leave them be.

Yah I've had some bad money dropped on me... But it couldn't be more than 4 million in total. First time I got modded money I bought a Tank, a Speeder, and a Frogger I think. The next few times it was never very much, so I spent it on cars, and the last time I got just enough to buy a buzzard. So I got some nice toys and still have things to strive for, life's pretty okay.

Unlike my brother who got 40 million and spent all of it on things, little brat...

Not accused, Faulty, I only lambasted those I know dupe, glitch or cheat, as weak gamers, they've admitted it set themselves up for judgement by asking sometimes, like this thread, major difference... It was because of the mod filth that cost me one account, the general player base accepted modders just too easily, I don't respect them or that game style, the OP asked, seemingly looking for validation, I'm just one less that could vouch for any integrity in cheating, simple really.

Don't like the opinion I have? Tough! Don't ask it then, OP, or those reading bothered by it, can suck eggs too... Clean and fair only for me, surrounded by like-minded players has always been my desired way of playing, I can... I do... I get my fulfilment from achieving things, learning the games I play and completing them, the trophies or in-game awards too...

I accept, this mentality is a dying breed, especially with this game, and fully accept many instances have happened where players wanted nothing to do with cash drops or anything, yet it happened, I'm disgusted just as much by R*'s lack of detractors to stop this all, PC is looking worse and worse, just like old gen... People paying for cards especially should have clear assurances too. It's not just on the modders etc. they're the symptom of a big problem that can only be stopped from the top...

Hey if people want to slave away doing heists and ceo all day, let em.

I spent enough time working IRL, I would rather not spend the rest of the day spamming the same ceo crap over and over just to buy a Hotwheels with dollar rims and chrome paints.

I've been selling cars repeatedly since before Import/Export was a twinkle in Rockstar's collective eye.

If I want money, I dupe for it, because the general gameplay for jobs and heists is about as interesting as watching a dog take a piss.

You're reading into what other people think (about you) too much.

There isn't one person on this forum who hasn't taken a short-cut or in-game backhander to achieve their goals a little bit quicker, in GTA online or in other games. It goes back to the ZX Spectrum for me and Pokes to get infinite lives and other cheats, and maybe some people remember bouncing over skyscrapers in their BMX in GTA San Andreas?

You're doing what Blasterman4ever did in a different thread a week ago - bashing every player into one of two categories, black vs white, bad vs good, and that's not right at all. As long as people don't mess up your personal gaming experience you should leave them alone.

When someone attacks you personally that's kind of different and you should react, but who cares what Player X is doing right now with his personal GTA account?

I have an ambivalent attitude toward glitching, hacking, duping, illegitamte methods, whatever you want to call it. I certainly benefited from the Billionaire Days. The Buzzard and $6mil Adder bonds I took out of it after the money wipe gave me a huge head start when it came to legitimate play, and I'm glad of it. I knew I was pulling a fast one when I stashed those cars in that second character's garage and I feel no guilt lol.

On the one hand, I genuinely enjoy the gameplay of most of the legitimate moneymaking methods, especially in Free Roam. Watching the numbers in my bank account go up tickles a certain pleasurable portion of my lizard brain. I also enjoy cutting loose sometimes, going on a wasteful PvP spree, buying a car I end up disliking or just picking a toy to play with and going hog wild with no real goal. I like how one feeds into the other: make some money, blow some of it, make it back later. The fact that I personally happen to enjoy both sides of the coin is what has kept me playing GTAO for so long

On the other hand, I'd be lying if I said I was entirely honest getting here. I've never actively glitched/duped in any major way, but I've sinned a little. There was a trick a long time ago where you could get a free horn that added abut $12k to the value of cars sold at LSC, and I used it on every Baller or Oracle I grabbed until they patched it. Been on a handful of PacStan runs with the Kuruma trick (RIP) and the dashboard reset method but it all amounts to relatively chump change. When a good payout bonus event is on, you better believe my PS4 is staying in sleep mode with GTAV open until something forces me to restart it, and I've definitely made more than R* would probably like me to by extending their 'generosity' a week or more beyond the intended timeframe.

I can certainly see why somebody who only likes the wasteful/goof-off side might look for shortcuts, or why somebody who just wants to earn, earn, earn might feel annoyed when others circumvent the grind. Personally, its no skin off my ass either way. As long as your glitching/modding/duping etc. isn't giving you an unfair gameplay advantage, go nuts. Not my place to judge.

I have had my character since October 1 of 2013 and have never taken a penny in "filthy" money. All of my ill-gotten gains were achieved legitimately (if that makes any damned sense), either via earning in-game or the occasional Shark card. My nephew did though, and he got caught. Told him not to. Didn't listen. Paid for it. I don't remember if they totally wiped his character, or just set his bank balance to $0.
