I know that avoiding glitch money is not very common among most players but for just under 38 days of playtime since Oct 2nd 2013 (started on PS3 - played the majority there; took a long break, playing on PC sporadically for the past year or so now) I've managed to do so.. Until recently

I've earned about 23 million legit just casually playing the game, selling 5-9k cars at the beginning of almost every free roam session, job wins and all that normal stuff. No mission grinding, exploits, dupes, etc.) So a few days ago, I bought the cheapest vehicle warehouse with help from my "tax refund", sourced and sold my first car, and was looking forward to keeping my interest in the game going.

Logged out, got back on the next day and was dropped into a session where everyone in the lobby was being deposited 50k a second (3 million a minute) directly in cash (although when I connected to the lobby I was already at 1 million+). Typically I jump out of the session at the first sign of money modders, but this time since the money was accumulating so quickly I figured "whatever, I had a good run" and decided to accept my dreaded financial fate in the sum of about 90 million before I chose to leave the session.

I bought a yacht, upgraded my office, an MC, couple import/export special vehicles, hydra, buzzard, a 4th property, insurgent, and a few supes I'd otherwise have no interest in buying. Got about 39 million left unfortunately.

Is there any week one GTA O players who still have a clean account?

I kind of like you was a day one player spent most of my time on consoles going X360 - One - PC first session on PC I had money dropped on me luckily I was in a car at the time and left the session few weeks later got money deposited in my account to the tune of 13m haven't spent the money, well tried not to spend a lot of it as I didn't really need anything

13 million in 2013 sounds like overkill

Back when the tank/buzzard was the most expensive purchasable item if I remember correctly. The most expensive car cost just 1 million dollars. Only allowed one property. Not surprised you ran out of things to buy lol

I would have not for these f*cking bastards quite honestly...

On old gen it was everywhere, my respect was thin online, R* abandoned it, and it got worse, after nearly 2 years of avoiding it all, I got cash dropped... $7.3bn...

I quit that account, my stats were f*cked, it made me a cheat at the time had i continued and used any. I was gutted!!!

I kept the account for 2 weeks until I ordered my PS4... Played rare, really pissed off...

Once PS4 was ordered, I created new, did CMM and bought some bits on old gen, saved up 8m, legit heisting, then transferred clean...

Had I not had the opportunity to restart on a newer, safer version, I would have left then and lambasted R* forever... After that AND Red Dead Redemption online went to sh*t...

Pure c*ntish to let players get Modders do things with no consequences or safeguards for legit gamers... Still a little bitter about it!

Since then, reading the sh*t going on on PC really disgusts me, and it's only a matter of time before current gen is full of that filth.

On that day, I leave to never return, love the game, possibly too much...

But have zero respect for any Modder, cheat, or glitches.

I play evenings for a few hours, some weekends, with the odd time I can put in a hard shift, usually Saturdays, and I've gotten 3 accounts past rank 250, 2 of which passed 500, my current being 605 now...

Sorry, but like shark cards, there is just no need ever to sell out.

Nope! You're one of them now, you condoned it.

The only glitched money I got was Christmas eve of 2013. Reported it to R* after I found out it was skript kiddies giving money out left and right.

After that I avoided modders as best as I could. I would disconect as soon as a modder would place a billion dollar bounty on me etc.

I did a pretty good job at it as the only part of my account that is not legit now is the odd 40 million on the cash recieved stat.

If I wasn't playing on a current gen console I promise you I wouldn't be playing this game anymore, and I play pretty much every day. Transfering day 1 from ps3 to ps4 was the best move ever. Never looked back.

edit: Funny part is last night I was doing some pvp and some guy sent me a message saying ''stop it with your modded account'' LOL.

Just logged in to play for the first time since and it happened again. My luck. Left immediately this time. I think this game has run its course for me.

Back in the Billionaire days it was often semi-consensual; Didn't ask for it, but did hunt for those billion dollar bounties. It was one of the most fun times in Online, but also ruined it the most; The hunts were awesome, especially if you were the one with the bounty on its head, but it sucked that all the expensive exclusive items you worked hard for to get were suddenly common junk.

If you played on last gen, chances are your account became dirty, whether you wanted it or not.

I remember back in 2013 a modder driving up to me in a black Dominator and giving me a couple hundred million dollars. Good times.

Is there any week one GTA O players who still have a clean account?

I did recieve money.

But I can say that my primary account is clean, since I didn't spend any modded money.

Every time I recieve money, I make a R* support ticket. They did remove them from my wallet in the past, but they won't do it in the current situation for some reason.

Never been banned. Even for 30 days.

I play to have an experience. I never used the "fast travel" in Skyrim. I have completed every single radiant quest and all the DLCs without a single fast travel. Even if I was rushing to know the story I disciplined myself not to use it. Because it takes away the experience. The fact that the "fast travel" system is accessible doesn't mean you have to rely on it.

I have a second account in GTA that I use to investigate the cheat. I can make a billion in a matter of seconds. This is boring as hell and this takes away the experience. The fact that cheating in GTA is accessible doesn't mean you have to use it.

Ask yourself - are you playing the game to have virtual properties or to have an experience?

Sometimes less is more.

If you recieve cash from a script kiddie, I would suggest to spend only the legit money you have and make a R* support ticked asking them to remove the modded amount. Most likely, they won't, but never hurts to try.

Clean, day one PC player. As ridiculous as it sounds, I have never received glitched money from anyone ever. That doesn`t mean I have not used in-game glitches for money to my advantage.

Only if people knew being a billionare on PC is still possible with the new glitch modders found....

Not gonna say any more than that. Shark Cards are the devil.

Of course I remember the billionaire days. Somehow I managed to avoid those lobbies however, and it wasn't even intentional. I spent most of my time in free roam too. Maybe I didn't play frequent enough during the period. I thought many of those with billion dollar accounts got banned though, or at the least their money removed? Maybe I'm not remembering correctly. Never paid much attention since it didn't affect me.

Not mine, but I'm also among the minority (with a forum account) who have been playing since day one and never had my character erased.

I always quit the session if money bags start raining on me. Buying things with money you didn't earn just feels so pointless to me. I'd probably quit the game a long time ago if got a lot of glitched money, now I'm at almost 100 days played and I don't see myself quitting gta anytime soon.

I'm so glad I was able to move on from last-gen GTAO when the newer platforms came out.

Remember: always keep it safe, sane and consensual, people.

Oh... dammit. Too late

No one got banned, except for a few of the modders. Almost everyone had their money wiped to 500k, which was more than reasonable from R*, as everyone had already bought way more than they earned legitimately.

You're probably one in a thousand who didn't get at least a few hundred million in those days. I had three bounties of a billion placed on me in those days and survived two and gave one to a friend, and saw dozens of those bounties placed on others as well, quite a few that I got too. Even if you didn't hunt them or didn't get one placed on you, chances were high you got a few hundred million is shared cash from other players in those weeks.

This poll is broken. You can only vote if you vote on both poll questions, but in the second question we're told not to vote unless we voted a certain way on question 1.

Fail.

I was given glitched money in 2013, but filed a ticket and Rockstar removed it. I've bought everything the game has to offer, all with legit money.

So far I have a clean account for glitched money. I don't really hang around in the lobby much anyway.

It's a real shame how the PC version gets crippled by this sort of stuff.

I can see why Rockstar don't like bringing GTA out on PC. If they bring gta 6 out, be lucky if it appears on PC.

I have a clean account! Lol

I use to get so jelly at money drop stories until Rockstar started taking action against such exploits. Theeeeen I became very thankful for my fortune because I wouldnt have started from scratch again...though I am jelly of the people who have gotten away with it. Not in a sense where I feel like they need punishment either but rather a a sense of "those lucky bastards" ;)

The billionaire days were something else. I had 126 million given to me (meh lol) and I spent like 12 million right away before it got taken away 😂

Got it three days before Christmas it literally felt like Chrtistmas lmao

Then Rockstar did the money wipe and left me with 400k in mid January lol

Nope

I wasn't smart enough to do adder bonds. All my money is legit, I've never taken part of any glitches. Once LG went to modder hell, I didn't touch FR anymore there really wasn't a point. LG FR sucked, there wasn't anything to do

Once NG gets affected, I'm already prepared to uninstall GTA V.

I managed to avoid the billionaire days by getting put into bad sport for a month back in Dec 2013. Early on when the bounties were going on and fairly small, my friend got 3 mil put on him, so I killed him and split with with him, and bought a tank. I was the one who got put in bad sport, while he continued in normal and got more and more from all that happenings. By the time I got out everything was fixed, and I think during the money reset I only lost a few hundred thousand.

@ The-Irish-Hunter... Trust me, there's no crying here. OP can play however they wish, makes no difference to me, of course, i was disappointed i lost an account, and thats why i completely disagree with the weak players that look for it... And my time on GTA was very much enjoyed, still is to this day... Bless.
