What features would you like to see in Rockstars next upcoming game Red Dead Redemption 2? (Red Dead 3)

People crawling away after having their legs riddled with bullets. Along with if you blow both knees out people fall to their knees to shoot you.

If they're not gonna do full on gore, I at least want what MP3 and RDR had, where if you shot someone in the head with a high caliber rifle, it concaves their skull.

 

Fighting similar to the one in RDR 1, where you don't kill people if you fist fight them. It's so fun online like that.

More interactions in a fight. A fight system similar to Bully would be amazing. Also, more melee weapons than a knife. Brass Knuckles (if they were invented), different knife types with different animations? Baseball bats maybe? Pool cue? IDK. More melee combat. I know it's a western, and 6 shooters rule, but it'd still be nice.

Lasso needs to be online. Same with the train.

Online heists, day one. Imagine a train heist, oooooohh my gawwd.

Not so much a want, but a tweak.

 

The random NPC missions. I liked that the world was alive and these events happen, but it happened Way. Too. Much. I don't need a shootout or horse thief situation EVERY TIME I happen across an area. So keep the events in, but limit their usage.

I really want some form of heists in online mode but with more freedom than in GTA. Like, if my gang's gonna rob a train I wanna be able to decide if I'm going to ride along side and hop on, have some get on at the station while some follow on horse, or just derail the sucker and loot it.

 

Also get rid of the whole, if one person dies everyone fails thing. If someone dies or drops out their cut should get split up among the survivors. Get rid of the four player requirement while you're at it. I wanna try robbing a bank solo, with ten other people and everything in between.

1- Add fishing to the game, let us fish, catch them, put them over the fire of our camp and eat them mo fo's

 

2- Hunter Tournaments - Hunt the wildlife in game online,give a specific time that each tournament ends. Some may be for specific animals like biggest bear or biggest rack on deer or moose, etc. Also could just have most animals killed in certain amount of time of all players across the online hemisphere.

 

3- Pan for gold , i mean come on , we know how expensive they gonna make stuff now, we need extra ways of income.

 

4- Ability to catch houses/buildings of wood on fire. Lets say you have been dueling it out with this other gang and they are hold up inside a house or store, your having a hard time taking them our or getting inside. Light that house on fire would be a very exciting way to turn that tide.

 

5- Ok this is out there , wont happen but would be cool, let you cut your own timber, haul it to your homestead with your horses, and build your own "customized" cabin . You know a place to hang all those bear and moose heads you mounted after you killed.

 

6- Make clothing out of the fur skins you get from animals.

 

7- Online duels - take 10 paces , then blam -for this to be fun it would have to lock auto aim off of course for just the duel at least.

 

8- Grow a beard.... i mean come on rockstar, beards gotta be a thing its the dang wild west

 

9- Online Poker tournaments - i just see this happening for some reason

^^ That Hunter Tournament idea could make for some cool free mode events too. Giving everyone on the map ten minutes to kill as many bears as they can could get pretty intense.

Muddy waters. The obvious and most likely true answer is no - as you aren't getting anything out of it. Same reason why you can buy chips with real cash in the Poker games you see on console and stuff, you can't get it back out once it's in so by the letter of the law it isn't gambling.

 

That all being said, those laws are as old as time and don't fit at all with the digital age. Would not surprise me to see how it's treated change in the years to come as "gambling" in games is becoming a problem. Crate systems, Fifa Ultimate team packs, etc are all horribly exploitative and no matter what way you look at it, are gambling.

There was a lawsuit in Maryland a few years back where an Empire Building Strategy games was sued because it has a casino in it. The Judge ruled that the game couldn't be judge based solely on that one mode. It had to be judged on the whole and it was primarily a game of skill.

 

But that was only one State in one Country so who knows. I know China's recently declared Loot Crates in video game to be gambling and now devs have to clearly state potential prizes and the odds of winning them.

 

So I guess still not a clear answer, huh? LOL. I do know that if it is illegal there's a boatload of games out there that are breaking the law right now.

You can lose those chips in the gambling games found thruout the casino. If you win alot of chips, you can not " cash out" and get real money for it.That seems to be the sticking point actually. According to someone from their company that is what would make it illegal, if you could use the chips " outside " of the game for real world profit. So in this game , you basically can buy in game clothes and accessories with your chips that i think turn into RP. But you can use your chips to buy in game stuff, just nothing outside the game. Therefore, according to this, i can not honestly see why they cant have poker tournaments in game, or even a lottery in GTA V Online to be honest. Here is the how they describe it :

It would be cool to have more survival elements that make the west very brutal, such as weather extremes, bullet woulds actually wound, and also needing to rest after awhile. Also being able to gather resources for the night or if you wanted to a cabin.

Also i think it could be cool to have Treasure Hunter Events:

 

Basically, rockstar makes a map to show the "whereabouts" ( giving a near by point but not exact point) to show where some old timer buried his treasures from his pesky neighbors. The old timer then breaks the map into 4-5 pieces, and places them in different places. With each one , a note to give a clue about where to find the next piece. At start of event, all players online gets the first clue , they can choose to chase after the treasure or not at that point. First one to get all the pieces, will be lead by map to the "whereabouts" . Where they will then have to search for the last clue , and figure out where the treasure is. Of course there may be 5 other bandits out there , who have figure out about where the treasure is too , as they collected the pieces he copied and left laying around , and everyone is shooting and searching for that loot ......

The Ability to Swim, it was funny to see we couldn't in the first game, maybe people back then couldn't lol.

Dual Wielding which looks to be true if you look at the characters with double holsters in the official game poster
Focus more on Singe player than Multiplayer via DLC content etc
Over 100 Story Missions. RDR only had 57 missions GTA 5 had 69 missions
Interesting and Fun side missions and Heist missions
Huge and varied map thats not lifeless like GTA 5 was with plenty of things to do and varied locations and interesting populace, give us a reason to unlock and explore.
Tons of interiors to make up for the wilderness aspect
Improved Physics engine similar to the first Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3
Economic system, buying properties and land, farms etc think bartering maybe start an empire with your gang
Whores and Sex, John is not a married man anymore lets have some fun.
Tons of clothing customization for you and your horses and guns, houses and gang hideout if possible.
Gang mechanics and Respect system, civilian reactions and respect as you or your gang get more infamy or fame, recruit more gang members in single player or multiplayer.
Gang Wars and Turf system in Multiplayer and Singleplayer with other rival gangs. We had this in GTA SA and a little bit in RDR, so no excuses.
Better Combat system involving melee combat with different combat styles and melee weapon styles like in GTA SA and GTA 4. Hitting people with your gun butts.
The Ability to rapidly fire a revolvers whole 6 shot barrel in seconds. Fanning the Hammer essentially without Dead Eye Mode. don't know why you couldn't do this in Red Dead Redemption.
Casinos gambling drinking tons of mini games, tons of activities to do.
All the weapons you can think of.
Improved Blood and Gore. This is the wild west it has to be gritty
If we play all 7 gang members, make it interesting. but i would prefer just playing John again.
Relationships with female characters. we had this in GTA SA and GTA 4 but make it relate to the story please, make it real and a Female Main character.
New and more wildlife and animals. maybe make a rug out of them lol
Improved Crafting System from Red Dead Redemption, Make Ammo and Arrows, Fire Arrows, Poison Arrows, repair and upgrade weapons etc. use the resources of the world and animals to improve your gear and weapons, horse gear.
A world and population that notices changes, yourself and the effects you and your gang have on the world.
The Ability to rob and takeover, civilians, homes, hold up towns, ranches, banks, trains, held people for ransom etc, all the things outlaws and gangs did back then.
Improved Weather System and Graphics, Animations and Weapon Sounds.
Good voice acting, maybe an All-star celebrity cast. I would love to see some great actors. Rockstar has the money sure/
Interactions with Civilians and Main Characters and Horses like we had in Bully. Whether it be good or bad or downright hilarious. Makes the world feel less empty when you can interact with them more just besides killing them.
Police that don't shoot you immediately if point your gun at them like in GTA 5 and try to negotiate with you or your gang if possible during a shakedown, robbery or ransom, hostage situation, town takeovers.
Better AI and more reasonable Police that don't just shoot you like mindless animals.
The Ability to Payoff, bribe or threaten law enforcement or anybody that talks.
More curse words and vulgar or racist language this is the wild west, no Political Correct bullsh*t here. it would be funny as f*ck too and most importantly real. Think of a Tarantino movie western.
Be able to start a family or start a farm

ill add more later. To keep it brief, no dumbing down please, keep and improve on what already worked in Red Dead Redemption, remove or improve on what doesn't and add more to the game. Focus more on Single Player than Multiplayer because that's what we ultimately come back to in a Rockstar game, when it comes to replayability. They can incorporate other ideas from other Rockstar games to make the perfect game. I know i can't get everything i wan't but i hope some of these ideas make it into the game. Sorry for the long list i have a huge imagination lol.

Large snowy mountain areas with snowstorms

 

Make stacking up on food actually necessary to survive, have wind and temperature affect player

Let me sit down like the NPCs

Let me tie my horse to a tree and come back and get it later.

Bows and arrows

Let me run a ranch and make a living by managing lifestock and land and sell and trade horses

 

Needless to say I am fairly sure all of those are wishful thinking.

I kinda wanna see if we can have our character go prone (along with crouching - seriously, if stealth mode is brought over to this game...Ugh...)

I mean stealth mode could work along with crouching. There was a somewhat stealthy type mission in Red Dead Redemption (The Great Mexican Train Robbery) and the beginning was a ride to the train station in Chuparosa and you had a couple of throwing knifes to use to kill the enemy NPCs to get aboard the train. It was a minor stealthy approach (you didn't really have to but it felt like it in a sense) and then after that it wasn't so stealthy. lol

 

Oh, and a character with the style and personality like Frank (Henry Fonda) from the classic western epic "Once Upon A Time In The West".
