What is the difference between the two Ruiners?

There's absolutely no difference. You just get a discount when you finish the special vehicle mission for the corresponding vehicle, that's all.

For the Ruiner, it'd save you 1.3 million, which is a considerable amount of money, so I'd say do the special vehicle mission first to be eligible to buy at the trade price.

Another question. What is the durability like? In terms of taking hits from Hydra, Lazer, Homing and Rocket Launcher missiles etc.

The ruiner explodes if you breathe on it. It's also rendered nearly helpless if your attacker just gets out of their car.

The regular Ruiner 2000 is weak. It explodes from one sticky bomb/homing launcher/RPG. It gets just 8 missiles. Once those are over, you have to get back to the warehouse to replenish it, or call it from the Interaction menu again.

Once a buy a Ruiner 2000, the VIP mission "Fully Loaded" gets unlocked. The Ruiner that Securoserv gives us for this mission can survive upto 18 RPGs and multiple strafes from a hydra, and also has an unlimited supply of rockets.

Oh and BTW, since the Ruiner has machine guns in front, you can't use your guns or throwables from inside it. It's rockets will not lock on to players on foot either.

Interesting. Would you say it's worth getting?

Well the VIP mission is fun, and that's the only fun part about the Ruiner 2000 for me. The car's not really a necessity. If you have other necessary stuff to buy, then I'd say wait for a discount to buy the Ruiner, and give the necessary stuff preference, or save money for Gun Running.

Can both versions be stored in your personal garage?

The VIP version can't be stored anywhere. It just spawns on the map when you start the VIP mission, and self destructs when the VIP mission is over. There's also a 1 hour cooldown to do 'Fully Loaded' again.

May I add my 2 cents?

Its probably the funnest car I bought until now:

-Combine the jumping ability with parachutes at an angle, and you can reach about 80% of all rooftops in the map(exception being the skyscrappers.

-In case your CEO Buzzard gets destroyed, you can use this car as a quick backup until you can call your buzzard again.

-It can dodge any homing rocket with a well timed jump.

-Can take out jets if they aren't dive-bombing.

-It has what can be called as the DEADLIEST homing rockets in this game, if it gets a lock-on in any vehicle, it will hit it.

Real shame you can't use it in missions anymore though...

Just FYI, you only get the discount on the Ruiner 2000 if you are the host of the Ruiner mission. Even if you do the job you do not get the discount unless you are the host.
