diegoaccord
Even if the real life car it's based on has no such detail. The biggest that I'll point out to me: Rear quarter windows of Comets. Rear quarter window of Elegy Classic Thoughts? Bandersnatch

diegoaccord
Probably to avoid copyright claims from the manufacturers. Not needed. There are a few driving games with the actual car models without license, Not similar, but actual cars, and they use the chassis code, or similar. Like this is a CR-X SiR which is the EF8 chassis in real life, and the car is modeled exact. Game averts licenses by using chassis code, since makers dont use them. I bet that game doesn't have half the violence GTA games have, which could be something manufacturers don't want to be associated with, so R* plays it safe. Thought this is just speculation. Genki were forced to license their cars after TXR:ZERO due to increasing graphical fidelity making it impossible to deny what the cars were actually based on. Even in TXR:ZERO Genki couldn't use the chassis codes for Honda vehicles and used random designations; signal of the end really. Not to mention that the Shutokou Battle series is quite niche compared to the titan that is the GTA franchise resulting in much less exposure. I bet that game doesn't have half the violence GTA games have, which could be something manufacturers don't want to be associated with, so R* plays it safe. Thought this is just speculation. This also compounds the licensing issues. Edited May 7, 2017 by HometownLC
whywontyoulisten
Turismo Classic doesn't. It has stupid half-sized headlights that barely move, and secondary coloured mirrors that only change to primary if you add a stripe. Classique
Well, I'm a guy who likes the Sanctus, and I hate the fact that we cannot remove this part of it: But not all cars though. The Z-Type is perfect for me, really. And let's be honest here, the Stallion could use some visual upgrades here and there.
Nyamber
And let's be honest here, the Stallion could use some visual upgrades here and there. It needs SOMETHING at least. It deserves love. It's a classic GTA car. livejoker and Classique
Classique
And let's be honest here, the Stallion could use some visual upgrades here and there. It needs SOMETHING at least. It deserves love. It's a classic GTA car. My only hope right now is a bennyfied version of it, since we all know that Rockstar won't be adding new customization options to already existing cars. Body value modification options are an exception, however (like the roof option on the Stallion). Nyamber

That's the one thing that ruined the sabre turbo custom for me. Make it more like the elegy classic and sultan rs. Classique
livejoker
I dunno, Sabre and Phoenix will always be the best muscle cars for me. I took countless pics of the Sabre that it's tough to find a bad spot on it. There's definitely some cars that it shows R* skimmed over (like the Stallion like others mentioned). It's just so...bland. It's missing character. I just don't get the same feeling from driving one in past GTA titles as it's actually a real fun car. Rewdalf
Turismo Classic doesn't. Oh please, everyone is so blinded by the fact that "we got a classic Turismo, rejoice!" that they can't see just how flawed it is... The whole car just seems misproportioned. I don't fancy the rear very much. And its suspension is way too damn high, even with topped out upgrades... But by far the worst are the mirrors... Good god, way to ruin an entire car. Only thing they got right were the more-detailed versions of the pre-existing wheels it got... And let's be honest here, the Stallion could use some visual upgrades here and there. The stallion just makes me sad... A well-rounded good-looking muscle car in the past. A terrible misproportioned mess in the HD universe... Where did the rest of the grille and bumper go? Why is it so squished down and wide...? Honestly, the biggest issue with a lot of the cars in GTA is their proportions... Some really nice cars just look messy or out-of-place given their sizing and whatnot. Just look at the Cognoscenti Cabrio... askinnywhitedildo, Classique, Nyamber and 1 other
wizooord
IMO as GTA universe meant to be a satire of our sh*tty one, "lore-wise" things gotta be "same, but different" iphone-ifruit, sprite-sprunk, nice car-nice car with and ugly ass feature ruining it for most of us. also i think legal stuff, gotta be reasonably distinctive to prevent copyrights or something? i mean i'm pretty sure you can get sued for making a game about a red-colored pikachu, but if you give it a beak and call it beakachu i think it gives you more freedom in case nintendo decides to flip on you

IceDree
All cars have their shortcomings & ugly features, some are worse than others (Cognoscenti Cabrio, 9F, Gauntlet... etc). We can live with some of them despite that & some not. Perfection Is a Cruel Mistress.

I love it as much as the next guy (Its an F40 for god sake) & I enjoy driving it, but the car is not perfect, it have its fair share of shortcomings. Econobrick
Turismo Classic doesn't. The rear is hideous and just doesn't work with the rest of the car.It would be fine if there was a spoiler option where it's molded into the quarter panels (flush with the sides of the body) like an F40. The rest of the back is different enough that they could've gotten away with it. The way the F40's spoiler is a big part of the car's design that I like, and I don't like the look of any of the Turismo Classic's spoiler options. Forza Harrd
No, you're all wrong. Fact. Also, the Bati is perfect and fabulous no matter what you do to it. I have chrome three spoke wheels and white walls and it's still perfect.
diegoaccord
IMO specifically for the Elegy Classic, the b-pillar is too far back. And this is a car that really has just ONE glaring thing. Its an amalgam of R32/33/34 and gets the combo right except that one thing, neither generation has that quarter glass ratio. DarkSavageDeathlyCloud
Though this games vehicles have a load of texture bugs and sh*t, i honestly think a lot of cars are well done. Buffalo S, dominator, vacca, phoenix and F620 look better then their real life counterparts IMO.
