Role play server help

So if If I ever go on roleplay servers then I always like to have a house, you can just stand outside the front door or go round the back to rp it, but i want to have an apartment. How could I role play it since I can't go inside and can't exactly stand outside the door thanks

How do you role play an inaccessible house anyway? A lot of smaller apartments have balconies that are accessible from the outside, but I'm not exactly sure what you're after here.
