[HELP] Muzzle texture problem.

Hello GTAforums - I need help!

 

I've downloaded an effect mod which I really like, but I have a problem with the muzzle flash only showing on ONE weapon; the AK47.

 

I'd really like to have all my guns use the same muzzle texture.

 

Another weird thing is when I tried to uninstall the effect mod and use default effects, the AK47 would still have a different muzzle flash than the other weapons.

 

This seems very strange to me.

 

Anyone know what to do?

I just tried opening my AK47.txd, but it doesn't have a muzzle_texture4 in it?

Then get it from another weapon and stick it in.

Hello, is the AK47 a modded weapon? if so, the problem must probably be with your game settings; in the vanilla game, weapons use their own muzzle effect (actually a 3D model inside the gun's .dff file) instead of the generic effect from effects.fxp, so, when you replace a vanilla weapon with a new one, most of the modders (me too) don't design their weapons with a custom muzzle effect, they use the one from effects.fxp; the way to use that effect is by using IMFX or custom effect files as Overdose Effects or Remastered Effects.

 

Another important thing is that when the game settings aren't at "very high", some effects doesn't work, and one of those effects are the muzzle flashes.

 

*I see you have the problem in SAMP, I don't play it but I guess the issue is caused by the things I said up there.

I solved the problem! I installed the remastered weapon pack, and used the effect mod with it - It works like a charm now!
