Great post. And I agree with you. For all my criticism of R*, GTA is an amazing franchise, I've been with it since GTA III. GTA V had a pretty good story mode, the execution and choices of R* for GTA:O leaves much to be desired. And yes, the veteran players who are 25+ are substantial. It's a shame to see them focusing on such visionless content that waters the franchise down and ignores major parts of playerbase.

I still play 2x or 3x a week.

Don't misunderstand me, i love GTA Online and i still think its one of the best/most immersive games, it's just that i've played it so much and i noticed that rockstar could do so much more for veteran/mature players and not only make flashy Neon-like DLC's for kiddos.

For me GTA Online is the game with the most potential, it is just not exploited properly. And yes i say this but i still play almost daily.

Thanks for sharing that. Nice to see people enjoying the game in that way. Donks as 4x4's, pure comedy!

The sense of fun and goofing off exploring is something I always enjoyed in GTA:O. It's nice to be able to revisit it. First trick is just playing with people that enjoy that too. Then the game can still be fun. If I go in a public lobby, I shut the game off in 5 minutes. Bores me to death. It's just kill, kill, kill.

Exactly. How it's possible to get tired from

?

I miss the game so much because of modders i am stuck playing alone. I miss the freeroam events and PVPing still remember the no mod menus months was amazing one of the best games i have ever played.

Is this The Guy?

The 2x contact mission weeks brought me back. I haven't really played much Of anything on my PS4 but lately I've been rotating between this and skyrim. Since that event started though I've been playing non stop. Been getting into special cargo again and am getting addicted to collecting crates.

I'm so exasperated with the game I honestly don't have it in me to explain my problems with it. Danger and zoso80 already said it better than I ever could, really.

Just too much focus on PvP and too much of a change in a direction I'm not a fan of. I came into GTAO expecting something like the Payday games but on a larger scale and instead got DayZ on a smaller scale with less depth.

Yes I get tired of it all the time. I usually take time off to play other games and come back to it.

I miss the old days on LG, dont think I can ever have that much fun in a game again.

CG is just too much crap and not enough fixes. Transferring a few months back kind of ruined the game for me and I have not been a daily player since.

I still play at least 3 hours every day. Even after 3 1/2 years I still love this game. I love the freemode PvP and I'm in an awesome crew. There is so much to do in this game. I've never played any game nearly as long as this.

I am, it gets quite repetitive. I have a busy life so when I have free-time GTAO is not my go-to option because I usually just do a couple races then X out. No one does bounties anymore, there's no rare vehicles, there's literally nothing 'WOW' fun to do. Blacklisting vehicles was and is still a beyond stupid move by R*. Can't keep emergency vehicles, why? bc r* don't want us to play as cops? can't keep a lost slamvan why? because it has "gang" logos? r u srs.

Sorry for spamming videos, but I just thought

fits even more into the whole situation of being "tired" of GTA :)

I play regularly with 4-6 friends and we do I/E and MC businesses alternating between each others but some of us now are growing tired of the same old monotonous boring crap daily. Yes it makes money but literally doing the same crap every day is getting to me now. Resupply this, Resupply that, get cars, sell cars, sell MC stuff. Zzzzz

The game is still fun but I am spending more time mucking about now than worrying about making money ($126m legit) so have plenty for the DLC and any new vehicles.

Put it this way, if Gun running bores me and it is not 'different' I will lose interest very quickly. Being honest I am waiting for RDR2 and then will probably hardly be on GTAO

The best aspect of this game for me are the myriad options. I got tired of Import/Export after a couple of hours today so I joined a stunt race. The ability to mix it up is something this game excels at.

Yes there is plenty to do but when you play daily for me it gets monotonous. Maybe it is because I have all I need/want and all the $ I need for the DLC.

I had a 11 day break as I was in Canada and Niagara and came back thinking I may brave missed the game. I didn't. I played for an hour earlier and turned off to watch a film, I simply couldn't be bothered

I am over being obsessed with it. I load up through habit. No problem not playing for days on end though. Still cannot get over the frustration of a game (online) 3.5 years old with so many problems. Only today I checked my stock in 4 MC businesses and some product was missing for no reason as I know what I had! I think a lot of people will be switching to RDR2 and playing that with less time on GTAO soon and that is a food thing

I am not tired of the game itself. I am tired of how R* is treating it. It's entirely subjective, but I haven't truly enjoyed a single update since Lowriders and the associated drip feed.

Cunning Stunts came close to introducing cool cars, but only gave us the racing versions and that just ruined them. Bikers didn't really cater to any biker crowd besides the Hells Angels wannabes, and thus ignored basically every other part of motorcycle fandom. Import/Export only added 1 car I really like, and butchered a potential car I'd like. The 'classic cars' thing only got one car right, and then for some insane reason added the red haired stepchild of the Lamborghini family.

Every other update post-Lowriders that I didn't mention has been so forgettable to me that I don't even remember what they contained.

If GTA Online was truly to rekindle my interest, R* would have to do a lot of sh*t. And since I'm just a nobody, what I'd want ain't ever happening. Particularly, less gunplay and more auto/aero/nautical/moto stuff. Stuff to spend money on. Incentive to make money. Why bother earning cash when there's nothing worth buying?

No not tired at all. I still play everyday, since launch, of course there are days here and there that I can't get on because of real life reasons, but generally I get on everyday.

I am not afraid to play for 5 minutes though. Some days I play for 10 hours straight. I just play whatever feels natural. I find that when people are forced to do things, even if they only think they are forced, the thing they are doing will get old fast. I don't feel forced to play. I don't feel like I am forcing it.

Nope. Not one bit.

But I am gonna be playing a little less between now and whenever the next update drops to make sure I don't spend a cent lmao.

I have a ton of GTA$ and I'm bad at managing it.

As long as they keep adding stuff to GTA Online, I will never be tired with it. But we all know it has to end at some point.

Been playing this game for a near solid 3 years. Sure I'm tired of playing the game for various reasons but it keeps me coming back with additional content. Biker Clubs got me hooked like an addict for awhile. It was my dream to sell drugs and counterfeit cash for a long time. Long live GTAO!

I wouldn't say I'm tired of it...

rather my life has developed and evolved a LOT in 3.5 years (kids man) and I don't have the time I used to.

still the greatest gaming experience in my opinion, and I still get on from time to time (when I'm not taking heads with a katana in For Honor). i'm sure the gun-running will pull me back in again and I won't get sleep.

I think a better question would be: Why do you continue to play a game you no longer enjoy?

Video games are not suppose to feel like a chore. If you find yourself annoyed to the point where you feel the need to exclaim it to the world, then perhaps you should think about taking a break from the game. That or maybe change your game-play style. I say you here as a general you, directed at the whole of the player base, rather than specific people.

I, I am not that bored of it yet. Many things I've yet to do. And when I do find myself getting bored I tend to change my playing style. Before the last update I was type of person that spent much game money buying cars and generally things I did not need. This led me to become very bored as I was always rushing to get the latest thing, and never being able to get them. After the last update, when my account was wrongfully wiped clean, and I was forced to start from level 1, I found myself experiencing the game in a different way. I chose not to buy every gun and instead try to scout the map and find some laying around and make do with them. I chose not to have a high-end apartment, CEO, or even buy any car at all.

This offered me a challenge that I neglected to myself previously and made me see the game in a completely different way. It's only about "bling culture" if you make it out to be. What this game is to each of us individually, Is really all in our own perception.

It all happens in phases with me. When I play for a long period of time I get bored, saturated and can't enjoy the experience anymore. I'll just do a long break, and when I come back after a few months I'm once again able to enjoy even the tiniest things. The physics of driving a car, the beautiful visuals, the free roam mission. I always pay attention to moderate myself, I do not want to get to a point where I get fed up or disgusted. I'm glad to say, I regard Grand Theft Auto as the ultimate game, the base of things, something I can always fall back on.

There's always phases during which you're going from enjoyment, to addiction, to hopping everyday for a couple of minutes to completely forgetting about the game.

I've played a while, really got into the Biker DLC & I/E, but then had to make a break because I didn't enjoy the game as much. Then the new cars came out, plus I got the newest Nvidia video card, enjoyed the Infernus & Turismo classic along with the cranked up graphics. As of now I'm hopping on every couple of days, stealing a couple of cars or doing some sightseer while listening to some Doobie Brothers or Talk Radio.

I think a break is coming anytime soon. I'm getting in to other games again I enjoyed loads back in the day, plus, after some time you own pretty much everything, did everything and got enough cash to not worry about affording future updates. Not many friends are online either, I'm loosing interest again. Like already iterated however, I'm never fed up, just taking a vacation.

Pretty much. I'm not entirely bored with the game, I'm just burned out on all the boring AV modes and mediocre dripfeed cars. It also doesn't help that I'm currently trying to beat all of 4 of the Mass Effect games (currently on the second) I just can't really bring myself to play it until a new update comes out. As my good buddy Garrus would say:
