Gettin up

I take a break from GTA V when I feel. Just like now, it's a good time to take a break because I don't like this new event.

It's fun playing with friends, doing some light roleplay as bikers, thieves, mobsters, etc.

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to find folks like that, and it gets tiring to wait

I'm weird, I don't get bored that easy. I feel like there's a fair amount of variety in the game to keep me occupied.

Variety it is, but i feel like whenever you want to play an activity (a specific race/adversary mode/LTS/Heist setup) there is always a problem populating lobby and starting the mission even tho i have a great crew and friends but they are not always up for that specific activity, i feel like too much variety kills the variety like everyone trying to host a specific activity and no one end up playing. You always have to play a random activity from you phone that you didn't choose in a specific way.

Even CEO/Biker organisations, good luck getting 3 associates or 4 prospects instantly to do a sale or supply mission properly.

And let's not even talk about free roam events, no one bats an eye about them.

UPDATE: yep, the current payout of missions sucks.

got tired of the game. oops.

I remember playing an adversary mode with the longest time/rounds settings and i remember getting like a 15 KDA per round but i still got like 800 RP per round and if we lost it was 300 RP ... What a disgrace.

The only decent non-bonus RP/$$ payouts are heists and LTS but good luck populating the lobby ...

I am, I just end up driving no where fast.i like the game it's just I done most things,I am on a break I haven't played in months, off and on I will logg in but I will make a comeback sometime.

Yep. I logged in after a month two days ago to just buy the discounted items and sell my special cargo for the 25% boost. Tired of the game's lack of content. Nobody joins heists. And now this whole data hack on PC. Guess I'm pretty much done playing GTAO. Only another heist like update could make me want to play again. I think Gunrunning will also use the same formula as the Bikers biz of 12 supply runs.

Getting tired / bored from any video game is a natural thing, not nessesery related to the game flaws. The brain always searches for novelty.

I remember I had a long vacation last year (without any access to my PC) and getting back to GTA after such a long break was a very rewarding experience.

The last two-weeks have been the worst with the tiny racers that i can make an entire topic about...

- No one forces you to play only the fresh stuff. There are still people playing heists and deathmatches. Are you sure you completed all the contact missions already?

- Check the custom content. There are very good and challenging parkour-like races, and you can play them solo (I know it's hard to invite anyone to those, no one seems to be interested)

- I like to cycle between multiple games. Like Fallout 4 -> Mirrors Edge -> GTA -> repeat.

- You can try something old but in a new way. For example, try to complete Los Santos Connection starting only with a knife and a random vehicle from the street (no kurumas, no savages, no bu*****)

- Say FY to the PvP guides, enable the headbobbing and bring back the immersion.

- Find a decent non-average crew that likes to do something expect PvP

I dunno. Yes? No? I find that I get on the hypetrain, jump in, get the new stuff, then maybe a couple hours later realize it's the same crap and I'm off again until the next train rolls through. GTA has always been about the cars for me. Sure doing heists and jobs and whatever, but the means of transport has always been the focal point. So the PVP freeroam f*ckfest isn't exactly bringing me back.... and like someone already stated, gunrunners is going to be the same recipe as CEO and IE. I would love more heists.

There are some that'll attack you for your presumption that the mechanics will be the same. All it takes is a brain to see that the probability of a new facility to purchase, new storage location to purchase along with the point A to point B mechanic in a forced public lobby is EXACTLY what R* will do. The mechanic is already created, established and allows them to make entry into Gunrunning expensive. Exactly what they want. They won't be changing it.

Looking back at the whole GTA:O experience. Yes, heists were the best moments of GTA:O bar none.

PVP f*ckfest, I'll admit I LOL'd. That's what it is. With the military hardware coming in, it's going from PVP f*ckfest to f*cking idiocy as a PVP urban warfare/combat simulator. Boring.

gunrunners is going to be the same recipe as CEO and IE. I would love more heists.

Anxiously. Your word. The word of a fanboi. Many here are beyond those 'rose tinted glasses.' I'll log in sure, eventually. Staying up until 3:00am. Naw. GTA:O is not that important anymore plus it's pretty clear what's coming and it's something that'll only amplify the urban combat and warring. I'll pass.

To quote your buddy, "Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups" in thinking that that people will sprint to this DLC who are tired of what the game is and where it is at. C'mon Fanboi you're smarter than that.

Sorry to burst your bubble Fanboi. Oh wait, you have me on ignore because you don't like that I challenge your thinking. You won't see it. Oh well.

If I was really tired of it, wouldn't I just stop playing it and/or coming to a site dedicated for hard core fans?

What you are going to get here is a bunch of people in a lull as they are anxiously awaiting the next DLC. Some of those claiming to be "tired of GTA" will be some of the first to logon when the new DLC drops.

Yes and no. Racing is always fresh which keeps me coming back. Collecting cars, perfecting my office garage and crew car meets gives me something to do. All other game modes are pretty much dead and can't see gun running being any different to CEO / I.E

I usually only play during an awesome glitch or double rp missions/races/heists other wise it's got no excitement. If it's a normal day I log on and mumble f*ck you for ruining this game rockstar and log off again.

Yup. Nothing really fun or interesting to do anymore. Only really log on these days to play with a friend or two. "Been there done that." Game is catering to PVP these days and that bores the bloody hell out of me.

No hate either OP. Legit question. Seen many on my friends list "move on." It happens.

I don't have faith in R*. They've taken a great franchise and made it a macrotransaction cash cow appealing to the lowest common denominator while watering it down to where silly garbage is now being thrown in. Seems the model of least work highest profit rules them. The game really is only relevant still due to its legacy sandbox status. Said no one "I am buying GTA for the amazing adversary modes." The only AAA quality DLC has been Hiests.

Get a f*cking load of this guy

The game is nearing 4 years old, R* has other projects going on yet in 2016 they completely reworked the entire game bringing in CEO and Biker work. You're literally clutching at straws here you and I both know Adversary modes were never meant to be serious additions just something to kill time for the next DLC which will obviously slow down due to RDR2.

And the Microtransaction meme? Get a f*cking grip its never been easier to make money if you aren't an idiot who just likes driving in circles in freemode.

Story Mode actually blows on-line away.

I love the concept of on-line but not the execution of it.

I wish it were more like an MMO/RPG and less of a FPS

It's an opinion dude. Assuming again. Raged will teach you about assumptions. He's the master... trust in him.

Money isn't the problem, it's the content. The content sucks, in my opinion high prices to access game modes that pushes macrotransactions. Along with trash PVP content. Maybe that's too large of a concept to grasp for you that someone doesn't like it?

As for name calling. Game, set, match, you lose.

Another grinder pontificating about how "easy" it is to make money. How cute. Go hang with Calimeatwagon and the grinders mmmk?

Nope!

Maybe bored of certain jobs and missions etc. But never bored in any session, I do what I want, and I find the playerbase so damn entertaining...

Just logging in on any given day can lead anywhere... Can't beat that, IMO...

Well, once you have a CEO office and a crate warehouse and a vehicle warehouse, yeah it's easy to make money!

First, you make money on contact missions or whatever to get a high end apartment. Then, you do some heists to make up enough for a CEO office. Then, you buy a small crate warehouse and make up enough for an Import/Export warehouse, and once you have that you can save up for whatever! Cars, more warehouses, who knows. At least that's how I did it...

Also nah, I'm not bored yet. Unless I'm by myself.... I need to have my friends around to have fun these days.

No, I'll play GTA Race and Race until it becomes impossible to find players for public racing.

What I find frustrating are the load times and hang ups. The more content they add the worse the game gets. GTAIV had a similar demise, It's like they do it on purpose. Kill off the online portion of the game and hope players forget and buy the next version.

Looking forward to the next game breaking update.

Mister Pink

I've been such a huge critic of GTA Online so I didn't play it for months out of frustration. Picked it up after 2-3 updates and for double RP and cash and I had a lot of fun. I stopped doing heists and realised that Contact missions is where it's at for me. Also the fact that I could edit my character was a big help.

I'm still not a fan of shark-cards and/or cheaters because for honest players like me, it's a grind to get the more expensive things. I all ready bought the game brand new twice, I don't want to pay for shark cards. I rather play a game where the only way you can get to "the top" is if you played the game, not how much you are willing to piss away of your real money.

So, I'm never compelled to go on GTA Online except after a few months I'll jump on, see whats new. I would have preferred SP updates but hey, it's not like GTA is the only game out there. ;)

I'm on and off GTA Online, my patience varies alot depending what I like to play.

Right now I am really not tempted to play at all.

I can't help but share your lust for some much needed gunrunning info, I think alot of people would genuinely appreciate getting some expectations on what to expect.

It would atleast reinvigorate my hype, and make me want to grind again

Well said and I agree 100%.

That's why I tend to play with 1 or 2 friends these days in private lobbies when I do play. None of the awful PVP events spawning in, no PEWPEWPEWPEW types shooting at anything that moves - just exploring and goofing off on the map.

The sense of fun and goofing off exploring is something I always enjoyed in GTA:O. It's nice to be able to revisit it. First trick is just playing with people that enjoy that too. Then the game can still be fun. If I go in a public lobby, I shut the game off in 5 minutes. Bores me to death. It's just kill, kill, kill.

What platform you on Danger?

Very tired.

It's the same story everyday; people fighting each other and killing other players for no reason out of petty bitterness. Even though all I've done lately is counter-grief and try to cleanse every session I've been in from sh*tters, they either invite their friends into the session to grief it even harder in full droves or switch to other sessions and continue doing the same sh*t, and it's all because Rockstar promoted and excused this behavior since last year.

It worked, it made me despise the playerbase so much that it has tainted my experience permanently. I tried as hard as I can to make freeroam into a more enjoyable experience, but I couldn't, the "it's GTA so I'm allowed to be a cancerous prick to everyone for no reason" mentality has been firmly planted into the core. It doesn't help most of the latest content either focuses on heavy PvP and/or on superficial bling culture, it's what sells shark cards for Rockstar and they'll continue pandering to whomever likes both.

This rubs me off even more because GTA V is my favorite game, and it utterly sucks that Rockstar abandoned what helped make Online into a success just for extra revenue, so I have given up on wishing for a SP DLC and have very weak faith in the franchise as a whole, all because of Online.

Yes, in the sense that I've done everything there is to do and seen everything there is to see, multiple times. I'd better after playing it for nearly four years.

No. in the sense that I'm done with GTA:O, or GTA as a whole. The franchise is still very close to my heart and I still find myself booting the game up from time to time to play an hour or so.

PS4, but as evident of my lack of activity lately, I'm not able to play for a while because of finals being rushed a couple weeks early in my country. I'll see if I can add you once they're over and I'm no longer bound by dozens of assignments.

I'm in an awesome crew. Hard to get bored of the game that way.

Completely agree with this. I'm in a great crew and have a PSN list full of players I enjoy playing with. I play 10 - 12 hours on days off and don't get bored at all.

I don't know why people think that having some unique over expensive or hard to unlock items is so bad. I mean i think there are a lot of people like me in the forums that already have everything and that have like hundreds of legit millions sitting in the bank that would love something unique to still grind money for. Not just the money, rank 120 is pretty much game over, i'm only rank 370 but i would love it if there was a weapon that you unlock until rank 500.

I wouldn't have made this thread if i had something to grind for.

I got bored to the point where when i get tired of my car's color, i simply replace the old one from legendary motorsport without even selling it in LSC.

Don't misunderstand me, i love GTA Online and i still think its one of the best/most immersive games, it's just that i've played it so much and i noticed that rockstar could do so much more for veteran/mature players and not only make flashy Neon-like DLC's for kiddos.

For me GTA Online is the game with the most potential, it is just not exploited properly. And yes i say this but i still play almost daily.
