Are you tired of GTA Online yet ?

Ok guys,

 

Pls don't hate on me for this topic but i've been quite bored and tired from GTA Online for about 4 months now (even tho i'm still playing, i feel like i am forcing myself to play) and i feel like every R* recent event week seems just not right with some off-topic discounts and bonuses on useless activities. I really feel that i am not concerned by the event weeks and that they are only here to please the rank 40 11 y/o kids that force you to mute TV sound because they don't know how to use a freaking mic.

 

The last two-weeks have been the worst with the tiny racers that i can make an entire topic about and this weeks freaking double RP on freaking MC contracts (it's going till may 15th !!!). I really feel that the last DLC i enjoyed was import/export and the last decent event week was the Resurrection release week.

 

Let's just hope that the Gunrunning DLC will be worth the long wait and that it will bring some variety to the game and not only be copy/paste of CEO with a military theme. Some info/hints about it could be just enough to keep people that don't enjoy the game like me hyped and patiently waiting.

 

Also, i really hope that they will not slowly try to kill GTA O to force players to move to RDR like some other game dev companies, even tho i have faith in R*.

 

So, am i the only one in this case or do you share some of my opinions ?

If other games had the same engine as gtaVs' then I would say, yes I'm tired of playing it.

Well, i guess it is time to go back to FUT Champs or a NG+ death march on The Witcher 3. At least until a decent double RP week or Gun Running release.

Yup. Nothing really fun or interesting to do anymore. Only really log on these days to play with a friend or two. "Been there done that." Game is catering to PVP these days and that bores the bloody hell out of me.

 

No hate either OP. Legit question. Seen many on my friends list "move on." It happens.

 

I don't have faith in R*. They've taken a great franchise and made it a macrotransaction cash cow appealing to the lowest common denominator while watering it down to where silly garbage is now being thrown in. Seems the model of least work highest profit rules them. The game really is only relevant still due to its legacy sandbox status. Said no one "I am buying GTA for the amazing adversary modes." The only AAA quality DLC has been Hiests.

Yes, game is about to be 4 years old which is pretty ridiculous thinking about how fast 4 years just went by. I'm mostly tired of driving around the same map which isn't even that big and all the little stupid things in the game that are annoying.

Honestly no, but i simply can not play their game in a safe way without risking to be f*cked up by script kids or cockstars anti-cheat and even if that would be fixed i also can not be bothered with cockstars sh*tty matchmaking, especially not when the few jobs i am most interested in are broken.

 

Strange to say thus, but i would love to play, but cockstar simply makes me unable to.

I'm kind of on and off... I have a few months of really enjoying it, then a month or two of being bored and playing other games, but I always come back to it. To be honest I enjoy it mostly for the vehicles (I love collecting cars) and also for the races. I'm someone who's perfectly happy cruising along the highway in my Windsor Drop or flying in my Besra for an hour at a time... but races are the most fun for me personally, as I'm rubbish at non-vehicular gamemodes haha

Been playing with mods on fallout and Nier..... They have better clothing than gta.

What you are going to get here is a bunch of people in a lull as they are anxiously awaiting the next DLC. Some of those claiming to be "tired of GTA" will be some of the first to logon when the new DLC drops.

Although i wonder how long it will be until the number of players drop to no more than 1000 players online every day. GTA 6 isnt slotted to come out until 2021(rumored)

Nope. I've taken a couple of extended breaks to keep from getting burnt out on it, but I always come back. I can't really see myself getting tired of it until we stop getting dlc and events, and maybe not even then.

It's the same story everyday; people fighting each other and killing other players for no reason out of petty bitterness. Even though all I've done lately is counter-grief and try to cleanse every session I've been in from sh*tters, they either invite their friends into the session to grief it even harder in full droves or switch to other sessions and continue doing the same sh*t, and it's all because Rockstar promoted and excused this behavior since last year.

 

It worked, it made me despise the playerbase so much that it has tainted my experience permanently. I tried as hard as I can to make freeroam into a more enjoyable experience, but I couldn't, the "it's GTA so I'm allowed to be a cancerous prick to everyone for no reason" mentality has been firmly planted into the core. It doesn't help most of the latest content either focuses on heavy PvP and/or on superficial bling culture, it's what sells shark cards for Rockstar and they'll continue pandering to whomever likes both.

 

This rubs me off even more because GTA V is my favorite game, and it utterly sucks that Rockstar abandoned what helped make Online into a success just for extra revenue, so I have given up on wishing for a SP DLC and have very weak faith in the franchise as a whole, all because of Online.

Depends on my mood, but i'm not playing as much as I used to.

 

Too much focus on PvP for my liking (as if the GTA playerbase needs encouragement to maim and murder each other - that was gonna happen anyway). That and boring Adversary Mode updates lately.

 

I love it for photoshoots and video editing though... still looks great even though we're nearly 5 years down the line.

On PS3/360 it's a mess of cheaters, on PS4/XBOne it's a mess of PvP and griefing and on PC it's a mess of cheaters. GTA: O is just a mess.

Watching the first trailer for online reminds me of just how disappointed I really am with it...makes me long for the months running up to release again...the hype...fantasizing about all the things I was going to be able to do (but actually couldn't)...not knowing what was ahead. What GTA: Online could have been...what it should have been . . .

 

These days I only really play on FiveM...still have this sub-forum open though and occasionally check on it.

Now that you say that, i remember wanting to play story mode on new gen cuz i only completed it in 2013 and played only GTAO in new gen, i wonder how story feels like in 1st person.

Or Maybe go back to San Andreas if my old PS2 didn't say it's prayers yet.

I'm weird, I don't get bored that easy. I feel like there's a fair amount of variety in the game to keep me occupied.
