Mugger bug

For the last 2 weeks or so, I'm having an issue with Lamar's muggers.

Almost every time when I mug another player, the mugger doesn't drop any cash when I kill him/her.

It's not that the mugged player doesn't carry any cash, because the pop up says they do...

Anybody else noticing this bug (PS4)? Or is there some cap Rockstar has implemented against cheaters or something?

Laggy mugger? May have dropped the money somewhere else.. Weird sync issue maybe..

If you wait too long to kill them, the money is gone, and if you explode them in a vehicle you won't get it back either. Otherwise yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, but I never wait too long as I usually only mug AFK players.

Like today, I was in a lobby with 2 other players (no lag whatsoever), I mugged the one that was AFK.

Got very close to the player, killed the mugger right after he mugged him. Pop up said mugged for $10k, but no cash anywhere...

It's definitely not reliable, I've had it do that too, but 95% of the time it works and that's not bad for GTAO

But it worked 100% of the time for me for the last 3,5 years! Now these last two weeks, I'm closer to it only working 20% of the time!

PC? Could be they've mucked something up or turned something off if a mod is using that mechanism for 'evil', wouldn't be unusual.

If the mugger didn't drop any cash, they may hide the cash in somewhere else you have to use doctor gloves...

You can't really rely on anything Lamar dishes out for support. That motherf*cker will leave your ass to the dogs if he could. I think he's tired of wasting his homies on us.

Yeah there is some bugger mug going on. (ps4)

 

Today I have the mugger daily, so I started looking for a rank 8000 or excessive k/d player to send my mugger on as I always do.

After changing sessions a couple of times I found a 100 k/d, called Lamar, ordered mugger.

 

Game freezes for a couple of seconds, "there is a problem with session, return to story mode".

4 times in a row I got the same session problem when calling Lamar.

 

Thank god I got my monthly bonus just a couple of days ago so it's not the end of the world.

If this would happen on day 28 though, it would be quite irritating to say the least.

 

Gonna restart game and see if it fixes it, changing sessions and returning to sp didn't.

For me its even worse, the mugger can't even reach any target, even if said target is in the middle of the street being afk, real lame.

 

Also, who calls the mugger to make profit? XD

I have encountered another bug. Recently my ability to set a bounty has been locked. When Lesters menu pops up that option is now having a padlock next to it and it says it will unlock at a certain level. All other options are unlocked. I'm level 272 by the way. Legit.

Also, calling mugger for daily objective is profit.

After rebooting game it was still the same, I got kicked to story mode when calling Lamar.

A full ps4 reboot did the trick though.

 

I feel bad for the random dude I mugged he didn't deserve it he was just a random, but what the heck I got my daily. lol

 

Crazy bug was crazy.

There's an achievement/trophy for "killing the mugger that was sent to mug you", so just mug low level (<10) players and you can justify it that way

 

I had no mugger issues on XB1 the last day btw.

I always mug single-digit players, one of those little traditions, I like to think it sets them up for a life of paranoia in LS

This ONLY seems to happen when it's a high amount for me.

And yes, I kill them right away so that BS of taking too long is just BS. I killed him within seconds.
