Normally I´d say PC version (it s what I have) ... but considering all these latest hacking problems on PC and R* not beeing able to find a fix ( or not caring that much about fixing them ) , I would say PS4 ...for now

I can't imagine how people play and enjoy this game at 30fps, it is really disgusting to even think about.

 

PC version despite the cheaters has a lot of illicit money going about (I've been rich since launch and had so much fun and 0 grind).

I agree PC's ability to give a better looking game is nice, but, like old gen, it's just so full of mods/cheats and at the moment in particular, players are getting their RP & cash either drained completely, or maxed out, setting you up for possible bans, reports and hate from anti-cheat players...

 

Personally, if this game is the reason you are looking to purchase and play regularly, I'd choose current consoles... But they are not guaranteed to never get hacked eventually... If you have many games, or many coming you want on PC, find friends and never go public until you have researched it!

Only things PC has on the console versions are mods (like real life cars etc.) and better graphics, but the PS4 version doesn't look too far off from the PC imo.

Probably not. Extreme example. Many years ago a friend of mine played IV on pc. He made a mod where his machine gun shot airplanes. But he didn't see them. He could cause extreme lag or freeze people out.

I'm a PC player, and imo, gameplay wise, PS4 seems better because of it not being cracked yet by hackers.

 

You'll only have to put up with grumpy kids, and that's better than having to play with mod menu users any day.

PC has the benefit that you can also mod the singleplayer with lots of fun stuff for when you're bored.

Basically what GTAO has now, but still. Those were the days.

Okay, so here's the verdict:

 

Ps4 Pros and Cons:

• If your friends are playing on it, it seems sensible to join them
• Most people are on Ps4 since it's becoming the main platform this generation and with the Ps4 exclusives, it seems reasonable to join the bandwagon
• Capped to 30fps
• PSN account or subscription fee required for Online

PC Pros and Cons:

• If your friends are playing on it, it seems sensible to join them
• 60+fps for mediocre PCs
• Adjustable settings
• Preference with Keyboard/mouse or a controller
• Chatbox
• Free Aim populated with KB/M, Assisted Aim populated with controllers
• OpenIV and mods if you want to check out the cars or weapons offline
• Cheater, modder, scriptkiddie problem that can mess with your character ruin your experience

I'd say Ps4 if you already have one and play it's great range of exclusive titles, so what's one more game added to the list.

But I'd also say PC cause you don't have to pay for a subscription fee.

 

PC is a great platform and the PC port in particular, but it's ruined by cheaters and scriptkids so the sensible thing is to stay away.

Yeah, basically this.

(I mean, there's a possibility of having your stats and rank and money manipulated but you can counter that by forcibly crashing the session to avoid it or the game to not sync with the cloud)

(and can't play with any kind of mods online)
