Yes, maybe, but just like the clubhouse interior or Tequi-la-la. Only for gunrunner missions.

The more I think about it the more I am convinced this is the least likely scenario: why go through the programming trouble to add this to free mode (for one or two missions mind you) if RS doesn't profit from this? As I have often said, people refuse to analyze these things through a business/profit equation.

When a Biker is doing a mission in Tequil-la-a or a Clubhouse contract in the police station, you can not enter inside. The same can they do with the aircraft carrier (Or even that other players see it.)

In addition Rockstar activates the big interior of the Cluckin bell farms in Paleto Bay for a only one Clubhouse contract (By The Pound) and after I have completed more than 500 Clubhouse contract, only once I have played in that location.

Rockstar Logic.

PD: Only if you are a Biker can deliver the import/exports cars from other CEO in the scrap yards.

Thing is if i recall right they just need one line of code to have it enabled.

Just change one tunable and it could actually be spawning in freeroam i think

It is not much effort to do from that point of view.

Fair points. I would love to know if RS designed the Yacht for the Heist with a plan to release it one day for sale in FM. If not, that is a good amount of work for one Heist set up. But if they knew they were going to release it for sale, that makes a lot of sense to me.

Not sure this is comparable to restricted interiors. Just from the number of wall breaches that exist, many interiors exist that are blocked off (I am guessing that they are used in SP and the map was simply exported online with unnecessary locations walled off). Regardless, none of these compare in complexity to either the Yacht or AC, which makes them unique cases. Best comparison for AC is the use of the Yacht.

I think it should be available, but not for purchase. Just add it to its default spot, like during the EMP setup, Power Play and Resurrection and job done. Look at it as another Zancudo, but on water. Has heavy resistance, long distance from land and most of all, won't cause many problems in freeroam (which has already been proven as many have glitched it).

A VIP/Gunrunning mission on it would be a bonus too.

Curious, what problems did it cause in FM? Have not heard about this...

As far as I'm aware, none.

Only players that glitched it could see it. Other players would see you walking in mid-air. Same goes with the Yacht.

It would be the center of a lot of attention if it was

I have always thought the oceans were under utilized. For the anti-jet crowd, one thing this would do is shift some of the jet fighting to a different theater (and encourage more dog fighting) on those boards where there was more than one AC kind of close to each other.

No. It would be nice if they added a moveable destroyer to keep those fly boys on there toes. It could also be used to grief yacht owners.

It would at least be easy to see an OTR jet swooping in with all that open sea.

It would also be cool if other armed mobile boats were added-we would have genuine battles at sea.

Yes. High speed attack boats with 50 cals that aim nearly 90 degrees up. And defenses like the yacht for the aircraft carrier.

The water just isn't fun to be on. I'd rather they not add more boats unless they're planning to fix that lack of fun.

To me, it isn't much fun because right now, all you can basically do is drive around like on a Sunday cruise. But armed boats fighting each other, while jets and helis are going mobile, and I think those battles could be fun. Would also have the effect of spreading people out so city wouldn't be as congested (a benefit even if you think you still wouldn't go out there).

Yes, it COULD be profitable but considering the price-tag wpuld probably be around 12 mil (and im being generous) most people would probably go without ala gold luxor and yachts. Next time your in a full public lobby take a cruise around the coastline, maybe find 7 max in my experience. Also, keep in mind a lobby needs to be able to handle 30 of these behemoths at a time, just in case, on top of 30 yachts. I don't know anyone who has ever paid more than $10 on shark cards and that ain't buying an aircraft carrier, however many, MANY people would gladly fork over a few bucks to help afford a new gunrunning warehouse for say, one mil, especially if it has exclusive missions to inaccessible locations.

I'd like it to be added like Zancudo, with proper missions this time(PMC-like, patrolling, convoying..;etc). But not that a civilian could own it, or worse, to own it and buy for 20 miserable Mio$ and no maintainance costs?

it could function as a naval base for npc military personel or merryweather. it would make a great location for created deathmatches and like mentioned before a good place to keep warstock Pegasus air vehicles but I don't like the idea of being located too far off sure. down south about 100 ft from the merryweather docks or off the shores near ft zancudo would be a good location. it would most of all be a good location for vip ceo missions like hostile takeover but this time instead of stealing a tank you would have to steal a hydra or a valkerie.

Would be at least $200,000 utility costs and $1,5mil to move it 50ft

You have one fact wrong: it is a max of 8 yachts per board. My guess is that the limitation has something to do with price, as you state. But no, there won't be 30 of these in any one session, for whatever reason. It might be that $10-12 mill is the cap they could charge for them before their target market says "screw it." That is already more than one megalodon card. This will come as a surprise to some, but they are not putting this content in for gta lifer sitting on tens or hundreds of millions. But I am telling you, put this in AND charge appropriately, and this is a money maker for them. We know this because the quarter after yachts were put in was one of RS's best quarters ever.

@ Rockstar_Fanboy... That's a very good point, the Yacht from a Trevor's first setup. I missed that...

Yeah, my mind is changed completely, 100% think it will be involved. As you pointed out with the yacht...

But also, they unlocked all heist vehicles, regardless of job completion, and they have added many things that were 'exclusive' RPB vehicles, S.E. vehicles, even threw out some rare T-shirts over Christmas too...

Yes, I expect it could, and the Go-Go Monkey Blista too for that matter (my hope, lol)...

Weather we can own it, or if it just becomes a location for 'work' I really couldn't say,

I mean the yachts were upto $10m, I spent $13.5m on my office and garages etc. More if you add w/h costs to, and special vehicles with job completion discounts all totalled $16m odd...

Yeah, very, very expensive if it does come and can be owned...

They could make it spawn in freemode for players to take planes from like Fort Zancudo but owning it its very likely to not happen. Yachts are one thing, something 6 times the size of a yacht I highly doubt.

Again, Yachts were limited to 8 per session. Just a guess here, but cost probably means most gamers never get one. I remember reading that RS had some contingency if more than 8 yacht owners joined the same session (I think owner 9 was reassigned to another session with an opening).

I had a really good somewhat ok reason as to why we would not be able to own the air craft carrier, then I remembered that we are allowed own both land and air based military vehicles , so that reason just went straight into the trash

No need to be sorry unless you work for RS and personally put the kibosh on it. BTW, I want it bad but voted no as I think they won't do it. But, there are compelling reasons to do it, thus, the discussion...

It is 8 or 12, one or the other. But yeah, there was a limit and it had to do with programming limitations.
