judging people on their level

Again I shall react to the initial post and read others perspectives after, apologies if I re-tread others thoughts...

 

Firstly... Ranks at 8000, 6666 or anything above 1500... Weather the player is a genuinely nice person IRL, I'll never know or look to find out. Clear cheats, no respect I'm afraid. They compromised their game, that's one thing, but to do it in a way that stands out that obvious, means they must be genuinely sh*t as they couldn't even cheat correctly... If it didn't have such a detrimental affect on the game, I'd laugh at them, f*cking idiots!...

 

Beyond that, it depends on what happens really... If I get sh*t from players that is, IMO, out of control or worse, then, just like with clothing glitches, I'll use what I've learned about those players against them if needed, Any report I've felt I needed to send would be based on behaviour first, and if they give me reasons to do so, I will...

 

Pretty much feel this way over any that cheat/glitch/mod, if I'm left alone, if I can compete in fair (as fair as GTA can be!) then I have no reason to care or consider looking to see if you cheat etc. But if you give me sh*t, stalk or anything personal, I'll use your cheats against you, 100%... Tough sh*t there!!!

 

And, depending on the jobs too, nothing personal, but there will never be a random joining me on a heists at a lower rank than 25, by then they can buy and store a couple full armour packs, and will have an idea of the pace or the game, hopefully, and better cash to buy essential weapons, possibly heist clothes or a Kuruma (or DoD now)... Friends at low ranks, no issue, and those I can talk to too... Communication is key with those that are low rank/new to them...

 

Saying that, on these double contracts, I tend to look for lower ranks, I don't care if they die trying, but most higher ranks idle the jobs, and occasionally I need another to get involved to get sh*t done... Plus, the guys need the cash/RP much more... I've always preferred to help out than fight for cash...

Seeing how unreliable the leveling system can be in GTA:O, or any statistic for that matter, a player's level has absolutely no meaning for me.

I don't prejudge people based upon levels, clothing (unless it were invisible), or cars (though I may have a laugh about them).

 

I do judge people based upon their behaviour patterns though.

 

Idle during missions just to collect some quick and easy pay? Prepare to get run over and kicked from the next job.

 

Purposely take me out during a race, block the track, or drive against racers in the opposite direction? I'll make you wish you never decided to get behind the wheel.

 

Play loud, muffled obnoxious music over the mic? Hurl bigoted, racist, sexist, etc comments at other players or just come off as an obnoxious douchebag that doesn't know when to shut the f*ck up? Yes, you're getting kicked, killed, or both immediately.

 

I don't care much about anything else; you could be the worst or most inept player in the game and I'd give you a chance as long as you behave in a civilised, respectful manner. I've seen high levels 500-8000 who have been amazing players and others who play as though they just bought the game and are only using one hand. Overall level never paints a complete picture; we all have our strengths, weaknesses, and what we prefer to do whilst playing. Therefore, I'll judge based upon actions rather than stats.

Some few months back a level 17 or somewhere close kept saying for all the jews to come to him. He had an oven mod to put them in. You can't make this stuff up. I quit fighting the guy I was fighting and went to him. He refused to go passive. I often attack those with mics so I can hear them complain or hear their battle strategy. I kicked his ass all over the map. I am not Jewish and it was on PS4 so there was no such mod.

 

I never talk and just focus on fighting.

I hate how people are suspicios of a legit 400 + up level player like myself nowadays. I get kicked from deathmatch lobbies and adversary modes. you can be level 50 and still have a modded account.

A few hours ago I got accused of being a hacker in Entourage and I was the target. Isn't the target supposed to take more damage?

Anyway, being a lvl 319 and have played the Adversary modes a lot and being a target, I know I must keep on walking and shooting to reach the evac point

and I wiped them all. My teamplayers were low lvl too and they were good, my bodyguards didn't lose all their lives.

He shut his mouth in the next round as I was Assassin and got sniped a lot, same player accused me of being a hacker was the target and got wiped by another player.

That idiot got himself trapped in an alley and had to fight 3 of my teamplayers at once.

I do not host heist while allowing ranks under 50 because of their low health.

 

Besides that...dont care.

 

Even if i would come across a rank 8000...on old gen that just meant a dissapointing target.

 

Here on pc i barely see that kind of ppl...probably because they get reported and banned

Any rank 8000 I see I will immediately attack. 99% of the time the level 8000 is absolute rubbish. I try not to kill anyone below rank 120. It's not really fair for them if they don't have the same weapons available as I do.

I don't hunt certain players in DMs because I don't use the crew tags setting. That's one thing I liked about GTA4, the blips were always on the map and they were color coded so I'd hunt all the Level 10s for the challenge. It was so easy to know were they were.

I'm rank 800 (dead on as of yesterday ) and 498 yet still I get accused of modding (yeah, on PS4 ). It doesn't help wearing a glitched Heavy Utility Vest with an overcoat which can't be done anymore which brings me back to the "people judging clothing".

 

I get usual, "u a hacka, reportin'"... Don't care, got nothing to worry about. Ranks are legit, money is legit and clothing glitches don't affect others in any way possible. If anything they make it worse for themselves.

So, could this be perceived as Levelism, where we are discriminating against other players based on their level?

I mean, the other "judging" threads could dismiss "clothingism" and "carism," because those are purely based on player's opinions, choices, and preferences.

However, a player (except by which player's have chosen a higher rank or a secondary character with low rank) has no real option for rank.

You are the level you have earned, no ifs or buts about it.

And based on that level, other players will perceive you in a very specific light:

1-20: total n00b

20-45: been around, but still green
45-70: starting to get the hang of things
70-100: now you're cookin'!
100-150: approach with caution
150-210: there's a hunger...
210-280: yippee ki-yay, mammajamma!

280-325: just don't even mess with them
325-over: game over, man!
(above 600: time to stop and take a shower, talk to people, and maybe eat something. Mom loves you!)

My main is rank 528 and I get kicked from DMs on occasion. I wish it was lower. My 2nd is 126 and I am tempted to buy the 2K Ruiner for him.

 

No one I play with checks rank. Getting away is easy. Players choose to hang near and get smacked around.

They claimed I had an unusually high level, I couldn't be killed, my missiles curved incredibly to hit their vehicles, etc...

 

I was simply killing anyone that got in my way while doing Fully Loaded and had to explain how different the Ruiner 2k mission version was from the nerfed owned version and how accurate the homing missiles are.

 

And elaborated that they should have done research before making accusations.

 

My KD is 1.54 which I consider it to be good. IMO average is from about .7-1.2kd

 

Anyone above 2 either griefed when tanks were OP and or jet grief effectively now, but above 3-5 is suspect of a modded account similar to anyone above 1100-1500.

 

If I see a player above that rank, it's obviously one that transferred a modded account. Especially the dumbasses with 40k KDs or some insane negative value.

 

Those players are screaming at Rockstar to strip them back down to lvl 1, it's just a matter of time with players reporting them that it happens. Why are they so dumb?

I collect level 8000 like trophies now. I'm a level 225 and I just go after the 8ks most low levels don't bug me, if they do then I do a few kills on them and they leave me alone.

Judge the rank 8000's. I could bet my Progen collection that, even though you're rank 70, you're probably better than 90% of'em.

Or maybe that some of us are actually really good at playing PvP (not bragging)? I mean, mines' 4.45 and have never Jet griefed or anything similar. Just adversary modes, deathmatches (back in the day when they weren't explosive fests) and the occasional griefer sniping. It goes up, it goes down.

You don´t need jets for a high K/D. I fly savage most and i am also a pretty nasty ground-player. The game can be broken in your favour in so many ways where you almost can´t die to another player. The K/D stat says absolutly nothing about the skill of a player. Just ignore this stat.

What's your KD now, since jet griefing?

 

I play allot of PVP game types, my highest kill streak stat is 40. I also win most free roam battles and Deathmatches, adv modes, etc... and slowly rising to 1.6kdr and that's because of 5-20 kills to 1 death at times.

 

Players that my crew and I encounter which are above 2, more oft than not are in public lobbies flying around griefing the session in a jet. Now, I'm not saying all players with higher than 2KD are in jets or used tanks in the past, but from my experience the majority do or have done so.

 

We had a crew member with a 5kdr, he was obsessed with it, and was a great jet pilot so he obtained allot of kills that way and from sniping.

 

But we are a free aim crew and he spent most of his GtaOnline career in aim assist, he was not a fan of free aim.

 

Do the two of you that quoted me play in aim assist or free aim?

 

As a stat are players in assisted aim servers more likely to have higher or lower KDs?

Same .. hit 500 last night and I get kicked often. I don't worry about rank or KD in missions because I can often take up the slack. .but in a heist u must be at least rank 80 and up for me to feel comfortable if you are a random.

I do a lot of both to be fair. I'm not one of those jet pilots that goes passive when they crash. I fight on the ground anytime someone says that I must suck at it because I'm in a jet. I enjoy fighting people on the ground much more than flying though.

 

To answer your question from earlier. I play in assisted aim. Free aim is much harder and most of the people I came across used rpg or minigun only.

Well as a player with 2.50 ratio myself i have to tell you that i don't grief anyone, i just don't let myself be killed easily.. i'm level 530 so i know the game.. i just employ everything in my disposal to dominate (BUT NEVER a hydra, maybe the ruiner 2k but not that much).

 

And yeah.. usually ratios of 3 or higher are jet griefers or plain hackers, so i report them both, they deserve it haha.
