GTA Underground crash after 1 min of gameplay

I have been playing GTA underground for the past 1 week without much problem. But recently I went to VC and saved my game there in Ocean beach. Now whenever I try to resume the game, it crashes after about 30 sec to 1 minute of game play. I have also noticed an absurd thing. The taxi and police bikes in Ocean beach are the ones found in LS.

I also did a fresh installation but to no avail. I have been running the game in administrator mode as well.

I tried running the game without any cleo scripts or mods except the ones that came with the underground installation. Still, doesn't work. It's like I am stuck in Ocean beach.

Try New Game without Cleo Scripts and save a game in Vice City and try.

I had the same problem. All the sudden when I load a save, my game crashes shortly after.

 

Another save I had messed up too. When I would load it, my progress was gone. It behaved like I started a new game.

 

I decided that when I play the mod, I'm just going to use a new game and use cheats.

Yeah, new game works fine. Everything works fine even when I save in SA. But once I save my game in VC, i can't seem to continue from there as it starts to crash shortly after resuming the game.
