Vice City's map is pretty bad honestly, the majority of the first island is the useless beach where there's nothing to do except bounce a ball on your head and drown in 3 feet of water. In general the map was bad compared to 3D era Liberty City cause there were more areas and opportunities for you to fall in water. This obviously wasn't much of a problem in VCS but still the flat layout was boring.

Also V's LS, I like the detail put in the city but I don't feel it was as good of a representation of LA as IV's LC was of NYC, also despite the fact that it's bigger LC, it honestly doesn't feel like it. And then the rest of the map, it's basically an oval with a freeway wrapping around it, and a bunch of lame mountains in between, a desert that doesn't feel like a desert, and a forest that doesn't feel like a forest. I do really like Sandy Shores and the nearby towns, though.

I loved Vice City the game, but I gotta admit, the map was kinda weird.

I dislike GTAV's version of Los Santos because it felt cartoony and fake.

Vice City.. That damn RC Heli mission made me hate seeing anything about that game... Plus the pinkness gives me a headache.

hmmmh kinda though, probably going to be vice city since it feels very small compared to the other 3D era games, though I have to admit that the colors (ps2 version) were spot on with their setting and it's still one of my most liked color schemes within the 3D era games.

Vice City. The game is good, but the map layout is a different story.

I think San Fierro is kinda forgettable, there's nothing that would make you want to go back. At least Las Venturas has casinos.

Aside from:

- the 2 mod garages, one with unique and sports decals.

- The docks complete with aircraft carrier and militarized zone for rampages

- Driving school and Hot Knife parked outside (if you got all gold)

- The various safe-houses

- The Airport complete with unique (as in only found in San Fierro) planes (Beagle, Juank Air) and helicopters (Leviathan, Raindance)

- Car Dealership business where you collect money

- San Fierro is the only station where the train stops

Can't think of anything of why I would want to go to San Fierro :p

You forgot:

- Only city that have a Safehouse whose garage is so large you can literally stuff a HYDRA in it

- Also have an accessible garage that can be used from Day ONE

- Same garage can be used to "unlock" certain aircraft if done right (hard AF tho, in my case the ratio was like 20-5 attempts-success rate)

- A Heaven for stunters like me, every road is as high as Calif. Street

- GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!!!!

Also, San Fierro is the only city in San Andreas with flats in apartment buildings which CJ can buy.

There is also one in Los Santos but it looks quite expensive.

Even the 3D Era LS was boring in my taste. Probably because I stayed there for most of the game so much I got fed up of it, lol

At least GTAV's LS is full of sh*t that you can bump into and fly in your motorbike. Can't have that in 3D Era LS (SF, on the other hand......).

San Fierro

Literally NOTHING is there worth going back for. And it felt boring compared to San Andreas and Las Venturas.

Literally if every city BUT San Fierro gets in the HD universe I will be happy.

Admitedly whilst I don't like San Fierro very much after playing Watch Dogs 2 and experiencing its San Francisco I think a HD version of San Fierro could be very cool indeed.

GTA III's Liberty City IMHO. Vice City was pretty meh, but it at least had the 80s charm to it. Liberty City always felt grey and depressing. Not totally sure what the hate is on San Andreas, the old version or the new version. Obviously, the layout of V's version is no match for the sheer amount of variety in the original, but I've always appreciated the attention to detail that we got in return. SA used to be a lot more fun to explore, but having played it for years the enthusiasm has worn off. I probably know Los Santos better than my own damn town. Some of it for me also has to do with how far we've come graphically, especially since nextgen consoles came out, but that's probably not an especially common opinion.(I'm very aesthetically minded)

San Fierro and Los Venturas were pretty bland, but I give SF a pass because it's such a fun place to stunt, go BMX-ing, etc. Still has the Liberty-esque dull tone to it, but otherwise it's alright. Venturas, though... Flat, too many casinos, and tries too hard to make up for it by being colorful. I don't remember much about LV, and for good reason. There really wasn't much interesting about it.

I agree about the Fierro HD remake, though. I'd love to see the V treatment given to that city and really bring it alive. San Francisco IRL is one of my favorite places.

Portland in Liberty City becomes difficult to navigate when you've gotten to Staunton and completed the Yardies missions which result in every gang being out for your blood. The Leone's are definitely the worst.

Other mentions are Zaibatsu territory at max Disrespect in Industrial area (ROCKET LAUNCHERS!) and GTA1 Vice City (Cops are trigger happy and parked cars tend to have bombs instead of car alarms. City's a pain to navigate to boot.)

As for more points towards San Fierro:

Marital Arts

Girlfriend that lets you keep weapons on death

Lots of asset properties where you can pick up money. Gives nice callbacks to Vice City's assets.

I agree , LC was grey, dark, & depressing , but it was also a really good setting for Gta 3 & LCS .. I don't really find Gta IV's LC dark or depressing though.
