DEALUX
Here's my problem: I have a modded version of GTA 3 that crashes constantly for some reason. I tried to debug it myself but it's a bit more complicated than I thought. My game is built upon the Xbox Mod with some additional changes like OnePiece's HD Cars and custom particle effects (plus a bunch of ASI\CLEO scripts). As far as I could tell there is no problem with the scripts themselves for the following reason: the crashes only occur after I install the HD cars for some reason. Take note that that pack of HD cars comes with a few other little mods (like new weapons) that might affect the stability of the game. So when does my game crash? Well, it crashes seemingly at random moments, sometimes even when I start up the game (before I get to the menu) and most of the time it happens when I repeatedly pause the game (in fact that's an easy way to make the game crash). It also crashes during gameplay. The weird thing is that I did a bunch of long playthroughs of the game and I didn't get any crash even though I haven't modified it much since. If you want to help me find out why my game is crashing and claim the $100 reward (which I will transfer via PayPal, but most likely not immediately) download my mods here (just drop the files in the main folder of a fresh GTA 3 install but you will need a cracked 1.0 exe to test it). The HD cars seem to be the issue but the solution can't be to just remove that mod. At the very least I want the cause of these crashes and that way someone can figure out a solution. I run Windows 10 by the way. That might be important as well. Edit: I will attempt to fix it myself.
