How can I create weapon icons and use them in game? (GTA:SA)

So far, haven't been able to find a good tutorial (lacks info., images are dead, frickin' video has horrible and distracting music, etc.), so I'd like you to tell me how to do it, please. Thanks.

Get the txd out of your gta3.img using something like IMG Manager, then open up the txd of the gun using Magic.TXD.

Then just replace the icon with whatever image you want, as long as its the right resolution (64x64, 128x128, 256x256 etc)
