And radio

Why did you replace the radio with badly converted versions? Just curious since LCS used Radio Masters so they were the best versions we had for them outside of the missing tracks. Instead here we have crappy 128kbps MP3 converts in Joint-Stereo.

When he released this map, there was no VBDec plugin, that's why.

That STILL doesn't explain why he did that. LCS Mobile comes with the radio stations as MP3 already in good quality, 48Khz (low pass at 37Khz), VBR 256kbps. Soooo why delete those and do converted 128kbps 32Khz Joint-Stereo MP3 instead??

It doesn't matter at all, as this thread isn't about that mod at all, so it's up to Arrow if he will use them or not, but I doubt he will, considering they are of poor quality. But yeah, I agree with you that using the default LCS Mobile radios would've been better. Especially with VBDec around these days.

I downloaded the OBB again for LCS Mobile. Accidentally deleted it last time. Extracting the Radio Stations as we speak. I've a bad flu as a result there won't be any updates soon.

 

On the other hand, @ermaccer and RedReaper have working on Player Models.

If anything, I could look at them once done, so I can fix whatever issue there is (like dark models ingame or unfitting mapping). Just tell me when they are done ;)

I'm curious, are you going to include a version with the destroyed Fort Staunton, or are you going to keep the Fort Staunton depicted before the explosion? I know you've shown them pre-explosion, I just wanna know what your thoughts on that are.

Most likely you will be able to set them on / off by changing the IPL entries in the gta.dat for now.

I've the destroyed models in game. Adding them to gta3.dat keeps them overlapped on the non-destroyed one. I need to figure out a way of toggling them for now. Most likely it'll done via a script once other things are taken care of.

Had been inactive for a while. But, I'm back with some huge updates than ever. Mostly worked on the Maps around Portland, the Dirt Track, Ferry Station, Callahan, the Staunton Cafe, Shoreside Tunnel, Misc Shoreside objects and the road textures around the suburbs. I'm proud to say mostly the Mobile Maps is close to being fully converted.

Nice work!

 

At any point in time do you intend to include the Bullion as part of the mod? its technically beta from LCS and not a 'conversion' but it'd be a nice touch if you had plans to do it since nobody as ever seemed to bother making a mod for any of the 3 era games that I'm aware of that has ever recreated that car.

Update: Myself and the team has decided to do a final release of whatever we've done so far and stop the development from there due to lack of time. Anyone who wishes to continue the mod can do so with proper credits. Once we're done testing some final stuff, we'll release the next version and that'll be it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess that's the best way of entirely porting the whole map instead of correcting resources and models manually from SMC.

 

Also, I would like to present a small incremental update from the previous build. It has been lying dormant for a while now.

  • Addition of Mission (Home Sweet Home)
  • All Side Missions, Hidden Packages and Pickups from GTAIII (Map isn't entirely converted for now)
  • Font and HUD Update
  • IIIAG's Widescreen fix recommended

Use maximum brightness for the best possible textures.

NOTE: You still need to download and install the Beta 1 using the GTAG Logo below before installing the Incremental Update over it.
