I got a world record on a R* created race but the award is still locke

Yesterday I got a world record on a point to point GTA race. I have screenshots and recordings however I don't want to share yet until I get the award. I had to beat the record three times until my time actually counted. It's been almost 24 hours now and still haven't gotten the award. I don't know what to do.. I have posted like everywhere and people say they got the award immediately after beating the time.

Maybe you need to set a WR in a non-GTA race? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Didn't know they would look into it, I'll try it now. Four minutes after posting this I beat my own record and still didn't get it...

Was is a Rockstar or Rockstar verified race?

Which race was it?

Did you actually see a messages saying you broke a world record?

 

Also Rockstar will not unlock awards for you even if you show them proof. Its highly unlikely anyway.

In fact I have called them about this and they could not even tell me the requirements for getting this award.

 

The leaderboard times are pretty tight. If you are good enough to beat one then maybe try a different race.

 

From what I have found it must be a R or R verified race which is currently in the game, meaning if you pull an old verified race off social club it wont count.

You can get the award solo.

You have to beat the lap time, not the total time. So you cant beat someones 20 lap time and get the award.

Yes, like it says right in the title, it was indeed a R* created race... not sharing the race yet until R* gives me an answer. There was no message that I beat the record however I beat it three times, then beat my own record by an even larger margin. The problem with doing other races is they have glitched times. Even if somebody glitches a race by 10 seconds, that is a massive difference to beat. The race I did it on was glitched actually, the record time was with a Bati, I was using my Hakuchou Drag and only beat him by 2 seconds, there is absolutely no way he could have gotten that time on that specific race with a Bati. The race was a point to point so there was no lap time. The rally time is pretty low so as for now I'm just going to try and find a navigator so I can beat that record too.

Bati is still a very good bike and can be a menace in the right hands. It does have a higher top speed than the drag.

it is on ps4 and yes it does show my time, like i already said. the only secret here would be you eventually finding out that both hakuchous have a higher top speed than the bati.

it is on ps4 and yes it does show my time, like i already said. the only secret here would be you eventually finding out that both hakuchous have a higher top speed than the bati.

Also, these WR's have been bugged from the start. 99% of the people who have the award never set an actual WR and loads who did set a WR never got the award.

Plus I highly doubt you got a WR on a R* created point-to-point race and beat the previous record by seconds. A lot of the top racers will have raced this specific race multiple times and you would make them look like noobs with your times.

Yea I was kinda thinking the same. If he beat a record by 2 seconds then beat it 4 more times after that then OP must be one hell of a racer and should have no problems beating other world record times.

In game it shows the WR being 2.38.99. No idea why that doesn't show on social club. But that's likely the time you will have to beat.

That time was literally just set since I posted the evidence. I just checked the times right after posting it, and I was still first. This is exactly why I didn't post it earlier - someone would see what race it is and go and beat it. Still doesn't change the fact that I had the #1 time for two full weeks.

Very strange indeed then.

But like I said: The whole WR stuff has been bugged from the start. I got a few WR's back in 2013 and didn't get the award either. A few months later, in a race I didn't win and didn't have the fastest lap time, I suddenly saw a pop-up screen saying I had set a new WR and got the award.

Did you get the pop-up notification?
