Couldn't have been LBA, main character wasn't purple with big eyes ;)

Google says this:

That dude eats popcorn and turns into super Ed or something

EDIT: Thanks! That's the game!

I remember this game as well - unfortunately it's not the one I'm looking for. The game I happen to be looking for was online, like via PC. No need for downloads or anything, I believe. I remember the 959 was in it, and a few older Porsche's. Also, it had the Cayenne.

I did a Google search and found a game called Ultimate Porsche. Could that be it?

Nah, it was 3D

Right before I started with GTA, I had in my PC a demo version of a sci fi sandbox game with flying cars in a -obviously- futuristic city. Can't remember its name, though the game's logo was shown in screen every two or three minutes. It was like The Fifth Element game, but I'm completely sure it wasn't that game.

This sort of sounds like it could be Omikron: the nomad soul. But it had a few different names internationally. More adventure game with some action sequences and overall too ambitious for it's time, but it did have large sections of semi open world in futuristic city with flying cars.

I'm wondering about an adventure game ....EDIT: I think I found it. Dark Earth by microprose. I'm watching a let's play now. It was amazing at the time and I remember it had some pretty original ideas and designs.

It's been a great year for the PS with one last hurrah for the PS3 with The Last of Us.

Now if only I had enough money to buy up all those DLC..

Alpha Demigod

I"m looking for a game that is light on graphics, story, production values, and all that stuff.

I want a simple game that is just "fun". Portal, or Hotline Miami come to mind. I don't want the learning curve to be 10 hours nor do I want celebrity actors on the voice cast.

I want a light, "fun", game.

I'm trying to remember a game I played all the time as a kid on N64 at the local video store. (which my mom *owned* so that was pretty sweet).

Basically you run around in a car causing mayhem but you could never exit the vehicle and go on foot. There were no people on the streets but you could run into buildings and take down gas stations I think.

I played a bad-ass looking blonde chick.

Thank you!

Carmaggedon?

That looks way too much like it for it not be..... It was just sooooo long ago.

It's not entirely how I remember it with peds getting run over, but it still looks the same.

Again, this was over a decade ago when I was 5 or 6 maybe. Memory is prone to error.

It came out about the same time as well (I'm 20 now) and this came out on N64 in 1999.

It just has to be.

It's the only game I could think of and looked like it would be.

Other one was Cruis'n Exotica, with the blonde girl in the car

but that's just a straight up racing game.

I got a ps3 some weeks ago and now I'm looking for games to play. Ideally, I'd want some freeroam games (already have GTA IV, V, RDR and Mafia II, as well as Diablo III) or games with economic simulation, character progression/customization and no forced online play. Anyone?

Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Excellent single player games even while vanilla.

Help me remember this two old PS2 game please?

1. It's a beat-em-up game, shot in third person camera with fixed angle. The first level is you getting out of a jail, and after escaping there, there's more level that you can visit at random, like a city district, a shopping center, a school etc. The final boss is like in a tower or something.

It's art is a bit crappy, got japanese feel to it. I like it because there's a lot of customization to unlock, and lots of weapon.

2. It's a hack and slash game, third person camera. Female protagonist is a vampire (the chinese one) hunter. The levels set in school (or hotels?) and we have to exorcise them with some magic. At the end of the levels, theres a boss (i think?).

Both aren't AAA games, by the looks of it. Kinda fuzzy with the detail, if somebody could identify some games that looks familiar to what i described, i'd be grateful.

Quoting my old question, since i craving for some nostalgia.

This might be asking a bit much, but way back when (~20 years) I had a beige IBM computer (maybe an IBM PS/2?) that had some games/programs on it...

One was some sort of "driving" game... You had a large car/truck, you could put out fires and jump over obstacles and I think it was supposed to take place in the desert.

Another was a train dispatching/yardwork one... Two keys controlled each switch, you had one engine and you were supposed to attach all of the rail cars to the engine. There were several layouts as well.

Then there was the paint program, which allowed you to remove/erase only one color at a time (could also do standard erase).

Any thoughts on what these programs might be or any direction to start looking? I tried looking some months back using Wikipedia, but it was fruitless...

Is Skyrim a game you could see yourself playing? If so it pretty much ticks all the boxes with that list you gave. Also, dragons. Edited by gta_aus

Hey look! It's that game Ubisoft never mentioned or remember because Overay-tedman 2 over-shadowed it!

EDIT:

I remember a PS1 game, which I THINK was 3D, but it had robots in it.

Depends what you like in a game.

Dragon age has a unique storyline with indept character (your allies) development and plays like an rts when in combat while having an rpg skill/point system. Amazing game with amazing story line and you learn to respect and love your allies. Challenging if playing on hardest setting.(talking about origin here).

The witcher is known for its difficulty and challenging gameplay. Combat system is a dodge/attack style with a mild magic combat. has character development and is mainly focused on the story while keeping the combat fun. The game is hard at first because you are overwhelmed from confusion from how the stats/skills and alchemy/blacksmithing works, but worth it after a couple hours.

So if you love character development, getting to know characters and developing all types of relationships with them, then Dragon Age Inquisition is probably more to your taste.

Personally going with Dragon Age myself.

Creed Bratton

The Witcher 3 isn't out until February 2015. Just get DA: Inquisition now and get The Witcher 3 next year. CD Project RED doesn't hold any in-game content hostage, so you don't have to pre-order it to get everything.

But if you're really limited to just one, then wait for The Witcher 3.

CD Projekt are devs who love what they do and are consumer-positive. I'd wager that you'd get more out of Witcher 3 than you would out of DA:I. I'm getting both myself, but Witcher 3 is def a priority.

That's a difficult question because both games are looking great.

I have Dragon Age pre-ordered but I also know that I will be picking up Witcher 3.

When it comes to one or the other...best thing I can suggest is maybe wait until DA: I comes out and see what reviews/impressions are from actual gamers.

Is there no way you can get both, since Witcher 3 is coming out in Feb. 2015?

Why is it this not stickied anymore?

I'm looking for a game that is fun in the gameplay sense. All about fun, addicting, gameplay. No fancy story, graphics, or anything. Hotline Miami is an example.

If its a browser game or a free download, I'm fine with that too.

I can only recommend indies title, because they are seems more creative and appealing to me.

Transistor is my GOTY for this year. Great and innovative gameplay, when i thought it would be boring, but turned out i was blown away by it. Amazing soundtrack, and is very pretty. Isometric action RPG with strategy element.

FTL is a must try if you're into roguelike + strategy.

And recently released and reworked version of The Binding of Issac is pretty addictive to, if you're into action + roguelike.

Gunpoint is great, could be finished in one sitting, was super fun IMO. Its a stealth-based action platformer.

Super Meat Boy, pretty sure you've heard the name. Difficult platformer, but damn smooth.

Rogue Legacy. Action platformer + Roguelike. fight your way around a castle, beat monster and stuff. There's upgrading system, helpful item, boss fights, etc.

Risk of Rain. Again, another action platformer + roguelike. Set in a strange planet, and beat every living sh*t of any alien you encounter. Lots of character with unique trait. And lots of item to help you through your way, giving you offensive and defensive abilities. I mean, LOTS of them.

Guacamelee. A Metroidvania game, super pretty, and lots of stuff to discover.

Cave story. You could get the freeware ones, or buy Cave Story+ to get a much more HD version. Again, a metroidvania game. Pretty cool story.

Flywrench. My all time favorite freeware games. Pretty short, simple gameplay, yet it is so addictive.

More freeware here, if you got the time. http://freeware.remakes.org/. shame that it isn't updated anymore.

Seems like only those is on top of my mind. And looks like i'm more into roguelike, because it offers so much replayability.

Anyway, i want to ask to anybody here too

Did somebody knows about a PC DOS game where you control a kid in green hoodie (i think?) throwing stuff that look like sea shell to the enemy (or is it a typhoon?).

All i clearly know is that in some later level, you could find a bike, and use it to one hit kill the enemy.

I need it for nostalgia sake, because it's the first game that i've had fun with, and i never even finished it..
