With OtherSide Entertainment officially announcing System Shock 3, I'm recommending System Shock and its sequel. Both great games, 2 obviously being the better one. BioShock is a spiritual successor of these games. People with interest in action roleplaying games, survival horror genre and BioShock, check these cult classics out!

There's also one I could be helped with.

There's a quite good chance it was a Japan-exclusive, but what I'm sure of is that it was an NES side-scroller with shooting involved. There was a small variety (5?) of characters you can choose from, and I believe one of those characters was looking awfully similar to another one called "Jet Jaguar". There was a variety of levels and if I recall correctly you could choose which one to tackle like in Megaman. One thing I'm sure of is that one of the characters was like a robot whose color was all light blue (no it's not Megaman) and he had a gun just like the Spread gun in the Contra games.

I've been using http://www.giantbomb.com/games/to try and find my game, maybe it'll help you.

That may actually work, I'll try and work my way with it. Much appreciated.

Trying to remember this game

SNES, side-scroll shooter. You're a dude, so no planes or what have you. I remember one level, hopefully lol, you can see a skyline in the background. Maybe another one in the jungle. Not a well known SNES game, like metroid or anything There was this catchy tune from that game, which is why I've been trying to remember what game it was! So the detail of the game isn't much there..

Not much info to go on, sorry lol

Months later, I think I found my game from the list.

Flashback: Quest for Identity

The jungle level I was mentioning

The skyline in the background as mentioned

Just need to find the music. :)

I've never seriously sat down and played a Final Fantasy before. I'm looking to get my feet wet and get started on one but i don't know where to start.

Suggestions needed.

Highly doubt it, or if so, the list will be very miniscule, but are there any games out there (for PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, 360, PS3) that are similar to RaceDriver:Grid? Love the balance between arcade-style handling, yet the graphics and features etc of a full blown Sim racing game.

For PS2 and Xbox, there's TOCA Race Driver series which is essentially a predecessor of Grid. For 360, there's Race Pro by Simbin (you might heard them for GTR 2) which is essentially a simplified and ported version of Race 07 with new game engine. Totally underrated, but there's multi-car classes, similar to Grid. I don't know for Gamecube and PS3.

Yeah, Grid is essentially the upgraded-gen version of Toca in a way, and not in a bad sense either since Toca 1 was one of my favourite driving games back in the day. The likes of Forza and GT just don't have that same sense of excitement for me, and Grid just seems to be a perfect blend of arcade and sim for me. Cheers for the others too.

Box Art for Race Pro reminds me of another game, think for the PS2, but can't remember the name of it...

Help me out

I'm a man of limited gaming hours and I need a new game to play. I recently wrapped up FO4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. My current relaxing game is Life is Strange. My experiment to see what it is game is Ark Survival.

I own but have yet to (single player only) play the newest MGS, The Witcher, COD blOPS. I've also never really given Sunset Overdrive an honest go.

If you were me which of those games would you fire up tonight and commit to playing through to the end of the story.

e:

Did the original Witcher way back on PC. I should have mentioned XOne is where I'm looking to play.

I am looking for a game from childhood. It was some pink guy eating color blocks, but if it was too much, he exploded. Also there was disco bonus level.

I'm looking for a game from my childhood too. It was on the PC. It was about these alien/or monsters fighting each other. It's pretty old. I know that's not a good description but that's all I have. They would cuss a lot.

I've recently gotten a PS4 and was wondering if anybody could recommend some cheap-ish ps4 games that are worthwhile.

Also, I recommend getting some virtual console games on Wii U/3DS. They can provide fun and nostalgia for some. I bought Super Mario 64 on my Wii U for $10 and it has been worth every cent.

I have one more chapter to beat after I beat the second to last chapter in Alan Wake. What game should I play next? I also have Witcher 3, Bioshock, and Dirt 2.

I am curious to know why the first Mass Effect isn't there?

On the big ass Steam list above? It is, you must have missed it.

Crap! My eyes. Stupid things. But why not the third one?

I think at the time it was pretty expensive and I don't think it was on Steam. I was looking for cheap games on the Steam Sales a couple years ago.

I am looking to grab a somewhat casual 1st person shooter on the ps4 console. My friends that come by always want a run and shoot game, as opposed to exploration & freeroam games like the witcher or far cry(to a lesser extent) so this is for them, and I love expanding my library.

I typically avoid COD because I don't like the idea of online multiplayer annual games, especially when the player base mostly shifts to the next game the following year (all of my friends that play 2k usually abandon the previous title all together when a new one comes out)

.

But the latest COD seems to have enough content (kinda) and a decent enough execution to justify a purchase this time around and I won't feel like I'm left in the dust when the 2016 COD comes out. Keep in mind, I'm no pro, so online environment and difficulty are factors here. If there really is a 4 player couch coop mode, that would be a factor as well.

I've heard countless complaints about the shady business practices and endless, grinding, repetitive, gameplay of Destiny. Yet I've heard great things bout the gameplay and how fun it is. I'm in a position now to purchase Destiny and all the expansions for the normal game price of $60. Worth it?

Star Wars Battlefront- I love star wars, played the beta, and it was cool. How's the full game compared to others on the list? Do I need the $50 season pass( I bought batman arkham knight season pass out of faith...never again)

Borderlands Handsome Collection- Admittedly, I know next to nothing about it. Looks like it could be fun and it's bang for your buck.

I'm open to hear recommendations for these or any other ps4 1st person shooter

It's not on Steam, it's on EA's crappy wanna-be Steam, Origin. I was reluctant as hell to purchase something off their store but I wanted ME3 so bad, I had to bite.

And shame on you for buying the regular version of DE:HR and then buying its story DLC lol. Why didn't you just buy the Director's Cut?

Someone is interested into a 50% Steam discount on Guns of Icarus Online? I got it after leveling up on Steam, but I don't want to buy it, the offer is valid till 2/2/16.

Send me a PM if you want it, obviously I don't want something back.

There was a PS1 game where you were this fireman who had to go about each level extinguishing fires. It wasnt a sim but more of an arcadey platformer. You were kind of a cool dude.

Any ideas anyone?

The game you're looking for may be Rosco McQueen: Firefighter Extreme:

In Europe, the game was simply known as Rosco McQueen, and also the cover was different. Here's how it looked like:

There are various Zombie games available such as undead zombies, Zombie demolisher, bloody Harry and many more. Anyway, have you played card games or Rummy?

I've heard mixed reviews about Watchdogs. It's 50% off on XB1 right now so I'm thinking about buying it. Is it worth it?

Personal opinion, no hate please :)

My personally like it and its story. It just feel good that a man f*cks up a city for his revenge of his niece's death.(Like GTA IV )

I also like the hacking parts, may seem unrealistic but they maybe challenging at time. There are still many recycled things from other ubisoft titles like Far Cry etc.(They are still so challenging and better)

but you should get used to it (lol) after playing so many ubisoft titles.

If you don't care about graphics but about quality then you should buy it :)

Just my opinion.Enjoy Gaming !
