Find, Recommend or Remember a Game

I'm trying to remember a game, it was from the early to mid 2000's and was a point and click adventure game with cartoony graphics. You were a kid pirate with a purple companion that looked like the big dog from 2 Stupid Dogs. Your ship crashes on an island and that's really all I can remember of the plot. There were xenophobic natives on the island that you talked to for help, and I also remember there being a part where you're inside a volcano. I believe there were adult pirates on the island that were antagonistic to you and the natives. I think the game ended with the kid pirate and his purple companion escaping in a hot air balloon. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

I'm looking for a 3rd-person view zombie or post-apocalyptic open-world (crafting mainly) game that doesn't f*cking suck.

It could be F2P or not, that doesn't matter. No Fallout, no State of Decay, Day-Z, War-Z, and NO EARLY ACCESS.

I know that's a lot of limitations but from those 20 million zombie games started 2 years ago, surely one of them will be finished by now.

Dead island 1/2 are good but 1st person

@AtchooMatchew yeah i think they simplified the series as it went on to appeal to the masses. DA origins is like the old baldurs gate games

Dead Island 2 isn't out yet :p

But I've played Dying Light, but it has no crafting system.

It does have a (weapon) crafting system. it's just not that deep.

I would highly recommend wolfenstein: the Old blood really good game hard but not overly hard.

I would also recommend dark souls 2 on ps4/Xbox one

GTA3Rockstar

Trying to remember this game

SNES, side-scroll shooter. You're a dude, so no planes or what have you. I remember one level, hopefully lol, you can see a skyline in the background. Maybe another one in the jungle. Not a well known SNES game, like metroid or anything There was this catchy tune from that game, which is why I've been trying to remember what game it was! So the detail of the game isn't much there..

Not much info to go on, sorry lol

There's also one I could be helped with.

There's a quite good chance it was a Japan-exclusive, but what I'm sure of is that it was an NES side-scroller with shooting involved. There was a small variety (5?) of characters you can choose from, and I believe one of those characters was looking awfully similar to another one called "Jet Jaguar". There was a variety of levels and if I recall correctly you could choose which one to tackle like in Megaman. One thing I'm sure of is that one of the characters was like a robot whose color was all light blue (no it's not Megaman) and he had a gun just like the Spread gun in the Contra games.

The game you're looking for might be Jolly Rover:

Jolly-Rover-6.jpg

The following contains spoilers about the ending of the game:

James infiltrates the secret cave via the governors office where DeSilver is trying to perform a voodoo ritual over to Clara with the voodoo priest but James simply walks in confident, juggling with some red balls. Distracting DeSilver by shouting "Think fast!", James throws one of his red balls on a very confused DeSilver who stumbles over the voodoo priest and they both fall over the cliff into a pit of hot boiling water. James rescues Clara, but the volcano starts to increase the hot water. James quickly manages to build up a balloon (though he calls it a Jolly Floater) by using the hot steam and they both fly off just before the steam erupts. They are followed by a shape that looks like DeSilver before he disappeared into the steam.

James and Clara looks across the sea and witnesses a glorious sunset. The balloon flies from the screen and the credits rolls right after Jolly Rover exclaims "Oh my!" at Clara's subtle proposal to further develop their romantic relationship.

The description matches perfectly with the things you said about escaping a volcano with an air baloon.

inFamous - the first one. Definitely worth a try. Way better than Prototype.

Far Cry 3 seems to fit your description. Not exactly RPG like Fallout or TES but still has casual RPG elements such as crafting and hunting.

It's a great game and it's quite cheap now. The map is big and detailed. Lots of things to see and do. Story is not the best but the missions, gameplay and the world are top notch. It's right up there in my favorite games of all time list.

Here's a gameplay video for you:

There's also Far Cry 4 but like I said Far Cry 3 is cheaper, so shoot for 3 first.

So guys, sorry for the lack of informations but if someone tells me the title of this game i'll love him.

All i remember is that you're on a helicopter (at night i think) and when you get out of the heli you are sniping some guys, i think its in the desert or something.

Again, sorry for lack of information but i remember playing the game when i was like 3-5 yrs old (im 15 btw).

Thanks in advance :)

Blood Dragon is the best Far Cry if you ask me.

Guys, tell me games I should consider playing from Steam. I want to add some games on my wishlist.

These days, it's mostly gmod, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Left 4 Dead 2, GTA V, etc. They are probably the most popular games to play with friends.
