Host GTA V race?

How do I host a GTA v special race - you know, the bubblebee, atmosphere races etc...?

 

I've turned off match making, and still I join a group of random players where I'm not the host.

 

I've joined the race by going to the wheel icon the map, and still i am placed in a lobby with random players where I am not the host.

 

I've tried finding the race under the jobs menu, but the special races aren't even listed there...

 

this is really annoying ... how the hell can I be the host AND TURN OFF THAT FCKING CATCHUP.

If you select a race that isn't already in the process of being run, it will say something like 'there is no race at the moment' and ask you whether you would like to host the race...press B, or search for any active race....Press A

 

so as long as there isn't a lobby running for the race you want to do, it will give you the chance to host that race yourself.

You used to be able to visit the free mode circle on the map and push square to host it. Not sure why they removed the feature.

Simple.

 

Pause -> Online -> Jobs -> Rockstar Created -> Stunt Races.

 

By doing it this way, you will always be the host.

Yes you will. I've been doing it since launch and has worked every single time.

 

How about you actually try it.

Well I have many times, on Adversery modes certainly. Sometiems I am host but sometimes not. So unless it only works on races?

Works for everything. One thing I didn't point out is after selecting the Jobs option, you have to click Play Job, not Quick Job. Quick Job will put you into someone else's.

I also play on ps4 and this works on all kind of jobs for me. Have you turned match making off? Iirc it has to be off to make it work

Yeah, I'm on PS4 too. However I have matchmaking open and I'm always a host.Can be something else also but I remember that I didn't always get to be host before I turned something off

I almost always start missions and races through the start menu, and sometimes i get to host and sometimes i don't. If it doesn't give me the option to host, and i really want to, i leave it 30 seconds and try again, giving time for the lobby thats running to hopefully start whatever it is.
