These are the coordinates of the extra stands:

 

TUBE STATION: 689.1, -465.57

ASPATRIA: -556.0, -197.0

CEDAR GROVE: -547.0, 310.0 

 

There is also 11 minutes from when you destroy the first stand to complete the mission (it's 8 minutes without the extras).

 

Also it's important to note that these extra locations came from the original source code. They were picked by Rockstar's coders (though ultimately not used). The extra three minutes and $15,000 reward was my call. You can also use a Hunter (or DeLorean) to complete the mission extra quickly.

I guess you could edit the default.ide file and change the "motorbike" class to something else for the non-Faggio bikes as a workaround. Not 100% sure whether it works as intended though.

Also spaceeinstein's script update links for Beta 4.0 work for me on the Mission Coding thread so I don't think reuploading them is necessary.

The Beta 4.0 download includes a widescreen fix. I'm not sure about the latest version but the one that came with the mod has been working for me.

Would be nice to have exclude list for the lc_drawbackfaces.dat file. Usually each model needs the backfaces but only for some of them could be handy to have culling ON. Unless it is possible to create separate asi for such thing.

I think the older versions had the culling config in the IIItoVC lib & gta_lc.asi. It could be manually turned on or off. Last I remember, the older builds with the functionality were causing graphical issues with some GPUs (mine included; Intel HD).

Yes, in beta 4.0 culling can be globally turned off and then it reads from the file I have mentioned.

There is quite many models to add the doubled faces by that file, it needs some patience for list them all from the whole map IDEs and then add these few exception for culling.

i dont really know it.. maybe im too dumb to install it i even tryed to copy the AUDIO Data from Gta III doesnt work.

You do not have any unnecessary files in mss folder, right? There must be only the ones with '06 year date.

 

Modding wise:

My problem is with increasing limits. It can crash when there is more buildings loaded than needed or more 2dfx.

Mainly at 0x00563E43 CParticle::AddParticle

Funny thing is that the game starts well if I load it from save, but it won't start New Game or it crashes during first cutscenes.

 

EDIT 2

Wanted to tell that setup instruction is misleading, because it says that you need to select a folder with gta-vc.exe file, but there are still few files LC needs to run, which are:

 

from GTA Vice City:
+AUDIO
 -ambsil.mp3
 - *SFX.RAW
 - *SFX.SDT

-MSS
+MODELS
 +COLL
  -peds.col
  -weapons.col
 +GENERIC
  -zonecylb.dff

from GTA III:
-AUDIO
-MOVIES
-SKINS

I reinstalled the game, used the mod installer, copied the III audio folder
contents, and put the VC Play disk in the PC CD player. Now when I try to run
it I just get an endlessly spinning disk symbol by the curser.

I was wondering, is the NPC AI going to be fixed? Because playing the Beta 4.0 version of the mod. They mostly don't care when I shoot at their car, they just keep driving like nothing happened. And rarely some peds don't care when I shoot, not gang members, but normal pedestrians. Also the traffic is also kinda low too, by comparing to original GTA 3. And running with rocket launcher the animation is messed up too. So, is there going to be a fix for these problems?

There's probably a chance that the disk is not being properly read by your system. Check it for any scratch or damages.

OK, I found out why the lc_drawbackfaces.dat file for double culling does not work for certain models like rails.

 

Rails and the models which are resistant, are having most likely wrong IDE entries.

The picture below shows errors which makes these lines ignored by the file.

As you can see, there are far more errors which gives too many parameters than expected, and it is no tobj.

The conclusion says in case it was not done intentionally for some other plugin, it seems the draw distance values are doubled.

Object count is 2, so it may be the reason.

So I have just recently had the idea to download the mod back so I can speedrun it on twitch, as soon as I boot the game at it will get to the first splash screen and crash with no dumps whatsoever? Any help?

 

Edit - I had to configure the good ol' DEP, works perfectly now.

(The old one ran out of fluid.)  I'll clean the VC Play disk and try again.

 

Update Jan.22, 2019:

I got the CD cleaner and cleaned the disk.  I can play the game but can't save.

The game seems to let me save but when I send Claude back into a save place

all the slots are free.

 

Update: Jan.30, 2019:

My old save games and save packages work so I'm back playing the game.

Where is the shotgun texture stored? I had a look inside hud.txd and gta3.img and I couldn't find it. Any help? Also generic.txd won't open? I need it because i'm trying to mod the road/pavement textures

So I opened gta3.img and there was no shotgun.txd to be found. I'll reinstall the game and have another look..

Regarding road textures, I was assuming those would be inside generic.txd, but apparently I was wrong... Any idea where to find them?

Nevermind, decompiling IMG archive revealed that "gtaiii.txd" is in charge of generic textures. Basically, gtaiii IS generic.txd, but with one additional texture.
