I suppose this risk comes with playing on PC. It's a shame too, as PC has a lot of potential.

I contacted R* support for my account being attacked by a modder, first some modder gave me 61 billion$ and R* resetted my cash to zero like the way it was before (this all happened under 1 hour)..

I still had my own ~570 million$ on the bank.

After that another modder emptied my whole bank account to 29k$ and I sent R* a ticket about this situation and many pictures for proof that I really had that money for a long time and proof that I had the ceo office floor full of cash too ( now all that is gone).

Heres their answer:

"We are sorry to hear that you believe you lost in-game GTA Online cash and we understand how frustrating this can be. Unfortunately after investigating the account we are unable to verify this claim."

Wow, just wow!....

Faith in R* completely lost.

2. when modder gave me insane amount of cash few days back, then R* removed in under 1 hour, but I still had my own bank balance the way it should be.

3. current situation after a scriptkid drained all my money.

Perhaps because your initial money were not legit ?

its really that hard to believe with +2800 in game hours?

Hahaha, 570m earned in 2800 hours? Sure mate, sure. Funny that i've spent about 4000 hours in gta, and i've only got around 163m in my bank. You lost money you were never supposed to have, i don't see a problem.

Nope. R* has appeared to have gone permanently AWOL prior to this latest patch. RGSC has been flooded with complaints ranging from simple tickets like yours.

a best case scenario (as you apparently haven't been banned yet), to a worse case scenario (group complaints of 2+ ppl being banned for having millions dollars/sec being spammed into their char bank accounts etc).

Bad news is R* hasn't been responding to complaints like yours over the past week. So the ban hammer has been dropping on both guilty and innocent players alike. Which is why I'm hanging out between the Skyrim and Fallout universes until R* decides to fix their sh*t.

But with this latest patch release for all platforms, their forum support might make a reappearance and try to earn their salaries for once.....

Damn. I should reconsider my stance on cheaters and Rockstar.

I wouldn't bank on it. R* is pleased that they've automated the banning system. Saves them time, money and resources. Modders f*ck the game up? Bot will take care of it. Classic R* arrogance and pissing on their consumers. I watched a stream where someone (on PC) lost all their money, and got put in bad sport because of a modder. They called the R* tech support, they got told to buzz off. He asked for the person's boss, she said I can't forward you as it's against policy. He said he had proof, she didn't care. "Modders can't do that," then she told him it was his fault for playing against the rules. When he pressed the point, she hung up on him. And he wasn't being rude. That says everything you need to know AGAIN about what a sh*t company R* is. They'll take your money, but after that, you are on your own. And fanbois defend this company? Sad.

They can't be arsed to deal with problems within their game. Let alone deal with people who've been screwed because of their cheap infrastructure choices.

As I've been saying, they got their money and people still buy cash cards. They don't need to deal with this stuff. The money will still roll in.

Great company eh?

Oh, you mean June Bugs? f*ck those things...

With how it's been in public online sessions, I'm becoming less and less inclined to get RDR2 when it's eventually out...I mean, if this is how they're handling GTA...RDR2 Online seems likely to suffer the same fate.

I feel sad for the pc community! Not being able to enjoy the full game. Well I hope that if they do a pc live stream they get royalty butt f*cked by modders and hackers.

They should just allow CEO and Biker biz in invite only lobby until it is fixed on pc!

That's beyond poor.

What I would say is keep trying. It's not an excuse but right now they are probably inundated with request like these. So the average contractor picking up the response tickets is probably wheeling out the default response and giving it zero thought. That can happen in a lot of businesses with a lot of inexperienced junior employees dealing with technical faults.

It's a bit like if you have a problem with your internet, if it's an actual problem with the hard line it's a ball-ache to get your ISP to send an engineer out. The dude on the phone who knows even less about internet connections than you will go through the standard check list - is you router plugged in? - have you rebooted your router? - etc.

I think R* have technical support telephone lines. I would call them.

Calling R* support from phone is no different from creating a Support ticket.
They would make a new ticket with the information you supplied them with.
You can check your ticket status from here:
www.rockstargames.com/rockstarsupport2a/requests/get-request/<TicketID>.json
You can find variables like

Is this a R* Phonecall?
Caller Requesting Supervisor Escalation?
Total time spent (sec)

The first one and second are used when you call the technical support, the third one is a timer that starts the moment the agent checks your ticket.
It's like a Time Trial for Tier 1/2 agents as they don't have to waste much time looking at your ticket.

Exactly, Collect some more videos, screenshots. Find a way to escalate to a manager or search for a service quiality email.

Different support engineers reply in a different way. Maybe, it was just a wrong guy.

EDIT: Also, try to open a ticket in ANOTHER category. If you made a ticket in "progress lost", make another ticket in the Other category. Visa versa.

One day I lost all the ammo because of the bug and they were able to "verify" it using a single screenshot from me. Not sure why it's not the case with money.

Man, that's bullsh*t... Players WITH evidence NOT getting a fix. f*ck!!!

Not talking to you, oakeni... It's obvious you cheated...

@DentureDynamite... Respect dude, you handle this very well and I feel for you, I know the feeling of 2 years work on here getting spoiled on old gen, to have it still continue makes me worry...

I'm sure we can all accept the bandits are trying to 'crack' current gen... IF they cannot fix this issue asap, I feel may come to consoles sooner than later, then all hell will break loose... Like GTA IV, like RDR, like old gen... R* online games are showing a trend of failings here...

This topic/thread is scary reading at the moment.

You know, from what I've seen in video's people posted where it's the insurance that actually deducts the money, I'd say the way this hack works it might actually register as a legit transaction to R* automated systems, making it really hard to verify claims of lost money, R* really f*cked themselves over with this one.

I suppose this risk comes with playing on PC. It's a shame too, as PC has a lot of potential.

It does, but I don't know if GTAO as it is now is that potential, if I look to where GTAV multiplayer is actually popular right now it's with FiveM dedicated RP servers like State of Emergency, that stuff has really blown up on Twitch, which several big Twitch streamers like Lirik, Giantwaffle, Strippin, and Timmac, who play it nearly every day for thousands of viewers, viewers who also want to join in that fun, actually play a character, and actually be opposed by other players who play the cops.

so I´ve been avoiding public sessions on Pc for 1 week now ... but I just want to play GTA again , so my question is : how safe (or unsafe ) is it right now , especially after those (almost daily) turnable updates ? do you recommend public sessions right now , guys ?

another question : I want to replay the contact missions because of the double $ on them ... should I play them with randoms ?

They are still unsafe. If you really want to play in public session then change your aim setting to "auto aim". It will place you in auto aim lobbies where there's less cheaters.

Don't play with randoms

My advice:

1) Start from SinglePlayer -> Invite Only. EDIT: Damn, I don't see such option in single player. Stick to the firewall method

2) Make sure you have sometthing like "Remain Host" in the Online options

3) Launch the mission, quit from the lobby if you see any other players

4) If you are alone set Matchmaking to closed and play the mission. No one should join

It's like a Time Trial for Tier 1/2 agents as they don't have to waste much time looking at your ticket.

I get that in theory the process may be the same. However in practice the telephone call is different because you get to have a conversation with someone.

Take the company I work for with around 40k employees. There's a massive IT department with a lot of people to serve. You can raise a support ticket online or call the help desk. If it's something fairly standard like needing a password reset the support ticket system is fine, and quick and easy. For anything more complex the phone call always gets a much, much better response - precisely because there is more interaction - questions can be asked and answered, and you can get a better idea of whether the person understood you correctly.

DentureDynamite says he's lost 80m. Raising a support ticket drew a blank. He either tries something else or gives up. A call is not gauranteed to get a response but my view would be, what have you got to loose?

My advice to anyone making such a call would be:

1) be polite but firm. Don't be rude or insulting, but don't take no for an answer either. Keep the conversation going until you are satisfied.

2) calculate the damage in real time of your loss or real word money in shark cards. Quote it.

3) if they say they don't have the authority to do what you ask (which if they won't help you, will be wheeled out at some point), that is the correct point to ask to speak to their supervisor.

To my experience supports are always outsourced and underpaid. This way they would only angrily follow the instructions, but not anything above. Exceptions are the new workers, but they grow bitter with time.

I don't remember his exact name but 1 streamer they invited to their official Rockstar streams and have promoted for a long time now is also showcasing the modded game to others. These modded streams are now getting more views than Rockstar official live streams.

So, tried using the block ports method and then fired up the game by going into a public session. Got in quick, checked the players list and there was someone else in the lobby, so quickly ALT+F4 outta there. Is there a better way to doing this that guarantees I get in a session 100% on my own?
