^^ They should; just be sure to keep an eye on it and keep replying when the auto-reply "asks" about your ticket status, because tickets seem to be set on "auto close" if you don't add a reply (say something lol) to the ticket until your issue is actually resolved by R* Support:

 

This is an e-mail to remind you that your request (########) is pending and awaits your feedback. If your issue is solved you do not need to do anything. Your ticket will be closed in 6 days if we do not hear from you -- at that time, a notification will be sent and you would be free to re-open the ticket at any time, if necessary.

I just had to do that on mine...something to the effect of: "Thank you for continuing to be aware of my lost GTA$ (or incorrect rank) issue. I anticipate the imminent fix by Rockstar that addresses my concern in this ticket."

Some days ago a friend's account was stolen. He wasn't at home so he couldn't connect to GTA V, even so his name was displaying at the top while I was playing (you know, like when you're conneced). Today I checked his account and was level 4782 with 747865572200 $. WTF has happened?! Also he has "joined" a crew named "ReallsTheDeal" (the motto is: CREW SHUT DOWN PLEASE COME TO MY SITE !!!! *fake money drop site that I don't want to display). There's more, in his garage now there's a DoD and an armoured Kuruma.

I contacted R* support for my account being attacked by a modder, first some modder gave me 61 billion$ and R* resetted my cash to zero like the way it was before (this all happened under 1 hour)..

I still had my own ~570 million$ on the bank.

After that another modder emptied my whole bank account to 29k$ and I sent R* a ticket about this situation and many pictures for proof that I really had that money for a long time and proof that I had the ceo office floor full of cash too ( now all that is gone).

Heres their answer:

"We are sorry to hear that you believe you lost in-game GTA Online cash and we understand how frustrating this can be. Unfortunately after investigating the account we are unable to verify this claim."

^ It could be just a bruteforce. The issue with stolen accounts is not new.

 

I strongly advise your friend to

1) Change the password ASAP.

2) Change the password to the linked email

3) Write a support ticket to R*

It's more likely he got a backdoor exploit / worm / keylogger affecting his whole PC, rather than anything else directly aimed at GTA Online.

It installs two files

 

The modified dinput8.dll used to hijack into GTA. Maybe it worked on previous versions of GTA. Usually, it's not that difficult to implement protection against dll-hijacking Especially, the DX libraries.

I'm pretty sure that no, it doesn't. That would be counterproductive the the Menu developers.

Do you get put back into your solo session if you do missions, heists, activities or other jobs which require 2+ players? That was my biggest migrane with how invite only works. I'd go on call for heists etc., so the job with a crew of randoms. At which point, R* would unceremoniously dump me back into a public lobby which was often contaminated with modders.

Yeah, no. As long as this port is blocked by your firewall, you won't connect to anyone's mission, heist, etc. in the first place from which you could go back into a solo public session. I've tried to join heists, tried to join friends in other public lobbies - nothing happens.

 

Edit: You may try to enable & disable the rule in your firewall while being in the game. Not sure if that works, though. Like when you've completed a mission and the game starts loading back to a public lobby, maybe switching the rule immediatly back to enable will work and you get into another solo public session.

 

I've been doing it for over a year. You can enable the rule, join the solo lobby and disable the rule immediately and nobody joins(I've played for hours after disabling the rule). But yeah once you disable the rule and if you accept any job invite you will be thrown back into the public lobby after it ends. Just quickly alt-tabbing and hitting the enable rule button immediately kicks out everyone else from your now solo lobby. But with script kiddies now I wouldn't take that chance of disabling it anytime soon. It takes less than 3 seconds to modify the stats with that mod menu.

I did that when it was an Insurance Fraud a year ago (Sightseer + Hostile Takeover). Didn't encounter any problems. Please, note that completing the contact mission may get you moved into a public lobby though, not too sure about the mechanics.

This was few months back but r* cloud deleted my main. So I called r* asking them can you restore my main don't u keep backups of data?

 

They are like nope we can't do anything u have to make another main least u have ur money they said I'm like

So I know how it is to lose 2 years of progress. I even asked let me retransfer and just fix my rank they are like nope.

After seeing some of R*s responses I feel like getting online & hoping a hacker drops a sh*t ton of moolah on me. Then go solo and buy a f*cking sh*tload of everything I can. That would probably be a dumb move but after nearly 4 years of nonsense like patching launch locations, glitched outfits & anything that might be deemed a bit of fun but totally doing f*ck all about major problems, I'm kinda over it.

sh*t, I'd contact gaming news sites with evidence, too. Could shed light on their sh*tty ethics and get your sh*t back + potentially make them fix their problem faster. This is unacceptable.

I don't know why they're unable to verify so many of these claims - is this their game or not? From some of the responses and the time it takes for things to escalate to the proper department, I get the impression people up there could be high as a kite just letting time pass by, not giving a damn about the real issues.

 

I had about $57 million just all of a sudden "removed" one time when I went back on GTA Online on the PC - about 8 or 9 months ago now. There was no alert or information about the money being corrected, so I contacted RSG and was like "here's proof of my money, oh and here's my 2000 crate collections, I'll take that bank thanks" and they had the same response - inability to verify the claim.

 

Then a couple of months later I received an email stating that my Xbox 360 account had been banned and was going to be reset, but upon attempting to access GTA Online on PC, was greeted with a permanent, Social Club Services ban (not just GTA Online ban). As my signature states, that account hadn't been used in a long, long time as I had transferred.

The SC data for the PC version is still there but it's been wiped for the 360 version, so my best guess is someone made a mistake (especially considering both profiles will have shown evidence of earning billions through multiple collections of $2bn bounties back in January-February 2014).

 

So I lost interest in playing too - and that was a good few months ago now.

 

Why RSG has no consideration for people who've been buying their stuff for a couple of decades eludes me.... as reinforced in several updates - they probably just want kids playing the game in the hopes they'll continue re-purchasing the game in the case of accounts being banned or lack of cash forcing a shark card sale.

 

And to think I'll be purchasing future GTA's because "it's the only company that makes a game quite like it".

Something somewhat unrelated to this skiddie mess, but says alot about R* support; the other day I finished Criminal Mastermind for the 6th time helping two friends on their mission to get some dollaroos. One of them got the money, the other, however, did not - it came up no his screen that he got paid and he even unlocked the achievement, but money never showed so naturally he was pissed and sent in a ticket. They responded saying that upon reviewing his account they could not verify his claim of completing the challenge, and went on explaining how CM works and what he must do to get the money..

 

 

Edit; needless to say I'm staying the hell out of public lobbies, races, heists, and whatnot until this situation gets sorted. I'm not about to gamble on them correcting whatever I lose if something were to happen.
