Quitter is finally released

246-1573222213-335861042.png

You can download it from Nexusmods or Gta5-Mods:
https://www.nexusmods.com/gta5/mods/246 (available right now)
https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/quitter  (pending approval)

Unfortunately, it doesn't work as good for Red Dead Online, as there is no way to create a solo session there. Also, terminating the RDR2 doesn't seem to save your product in the trader run  :/

We have to invent new techniques for this game.

Does this mean, RDO relies on p2p less?

Of course, not. It means, the game will most likely give you an error if you attempt to suspend the process.

It means that Rockstar put more effort this time to prevent people from glitching out into solo.

Long LONG time lurker, pc day 1 in fact. So don't roast me right out the gate you animals!

A private 'bug bounty' program offering $10,000 for finding false positive bans in GTA Online has been expanded.

While I find this a great step in the right direction, it should have been done 4 years ago. However I do agree with R* in that there is no evidence of false bans ever. (thus their confidence here.)

What they are omitting tho is, despite the fact their system does not trigger false positives, what it doesn't do is its actual job of detecting modded accounts/mod menus /the spoofers delinking social club accounts/or the abuse of remote admin access.

When they can start detecting these accounts before I have to see them and know at a glance they are not legit I might start having faith again. nvm the admin functions and active menus. They have proven they can stop these things IF they patched more often. Zeldick probably needed another airplane instead. :/

^^ From a player's perspective, the only success I can possibly attribute to those programs is that any money dropped by "modders" is currently being kept small compared to previous years (2015 and 2017 especially; $40k bags and $50k direct-to-bank injections respectively).

Unless R* added a random bounty of $10,000--after Lester has been paid--to the existing lineup of $1,000, $3,000, $5,000, $7,000 and $9,000, then script kids are still winning--I frequently see people getting bounties of $10k.

No, it's not game breaking, but the evidence of modified game code is there--and their foot is in the door.

...plus all the other usual menu antics that have only sped up recently; not slowed down... the "Zentornoruma" being one of their new 'creations' (found it abandoned along the road, still drivable):

Yeah, sure. I will start from not playing it, I mean online part.

Especially because of this:

They can keep their crap, I'd rather volunteer in community centre than waste my life playing this restricting, grindy, glitchy, gold bar infested crap. Hell, even Tetris beats it. RDR 2, I'll get that on discount considering how they have failed the launch, but I won't touch online part with a stick. It's beyond me why people play it, with GTA I can understand, but with RDO?

I was in RDO PC on day one. The start was pretty fine to me. Except a few crashes.

The story mode works flawlessly.

It's mainly the Ryzen processor owners who were experiencing the issues.

Objectively speaking, the launch was pretty good if you compare it to Battlefiled 4 for example

Many players consider RDO as a calmer version of GTA. There is less noise and tryharding is more difficult as the character moves are more restrictive.

Also, you can't ignore the fact that blimps are being hidden from other players.

The real problem is the fundamental inaction on R* part, I mean if I had billions of dollars post projections 3 years ago.... might can justify hiring a few people to play active management roles. Without in house active admins/game managers they are pissing in the wind.

*edit I suck at spelling +

Also I have already noticed a few instances of test accounts in public sessions. I am sorry that in and of itself hassles me and means you dun get a bounty even IF you find a hole. if yer in public lobby you are not going to get a bounty when yer in the way of the game itself. Read what they said....they basically said if  a normal asshat player can flag you yer in the way and means yer bounty is no joy. back to no false positives, cuz it misses 98% of the things it should be seeing.  kd at 7,000,000, joined today.. THIS should be instant detection. yet they miss the lvl 8000's with k.d well over 100 that have a social club born on date of today.... THIS is the root.. hard to have false positives when you have no positives even when it is glaring obvious.

LOL! in freemode i dun think it is that big a deal other than being cheating scum that needs more 5m in their lives...  as a racer that reminded chili that broughys console tests are  flawed at 60 fps.. what good does it really do to hatch mutant cars in freemode?  same thing it does for all cheaters with menus, ego padding.

who do we really blame tho? I dun think R* games is interested in clean game play on any level. this bounty program almost proves it cuz they dun wanna protect the customers.  they are looking to manage it on the next one.... On the level Flex should never have had to go this far on his own time..... for free.....  ( you will get a job bro yer killing it)

More over they are clearly aware cheaters are using many accounts but what is silly is asking hackerone? there are NO hackers in GTA!  or did you forget why 5m occurred originally? There are no hackers in GTA Online only cheats with ego issues. the game, the engine itself hell even this bounty ideal is leaning into the idea of expecting you to have many many accounts via cheating... or will they provide test accounts? no they will not. sure go buy more stolen recovery accounts. I find it offensive they forget on the legit level you BUY your key .. or is this them admitting in a passive aggressive way that they cannot or refuse to manage the biggest media item of all time cuz it is just to hard! To much a grind for them. sounds familiar.

Honestly dude I have no idea what you're saying ^ but Rockstar does have staff that periodically go into sessions "on the hunt".

Rumble Bunneh

I accepted a CEO invite a few nights ago. It was late and I was bored; so bored that I didn't bother to check the VIP's attire beforehand. That was my first mistake. Accepting his office invite was my second.

The "boss" was waiting by the reception desk in his office when I stepped off the elevator. His style spoke to the sensibilities of a teenaged psychopath. Red eyes. White hair. Face paint. Safety helmet. The usual suspect, you know the one. More peculiar was the fact that he was not only armed, in his office, but he was standing in place swinging his weapon as if attempting to melee some imaginary victim. The needle on my just-another-dick-o-meter instantly went from mellow to haywire, so I stepped back onto the elevator. I should have left the lobby. Oh well. Stupid me.

The VIP followed me to the ground floor of the Maze Bank Tower, fired me from the organization and then proceeded to light me up. It was bad.

Though his radar blip clearly showed him chilling in his office the entire time, the guy spent the next few minutes mopping the streets of the downtown area with my poor toon. I'm pretty sure he was invincible too because he would sometimes pause to let me "fight back" on the random occasion I saw him coming. Each time, he waited to put me down on the reload.

So is this a thing now?

This was on X-Box One.

^^ I'd have thought it was mostly PC-only, but obviously not.

Anytime I get an unsolicited apartment invite, I immediately change sessions.

Even the rare, benevolent script kids don't do forced apartment invites.

If people have any spare time, I (and the community) would appreciate some responses on this google form, if you can.

https://forms.gle/WfCZDGbzism5kaoA8

It's primarily to collect data from players who have been money dropped and whether any reprimands of any form ever came as a result.
Thanks chaps.

Come across a guy a few nights ago, he had a Hydra, but no rockets would take it down (and Im talking like upwards of 30 rockets from a few players). This was on the Xbox, Im assuming its aform of glitch rather than modding.

Thought I'd post an update.

Either something's gone wrong somewhere down the line, or Rockstar Games has a new policy on dealing with cheaters in GTA Online. Hopefully an article will be published, if its the latter...

I've been seeing lots of reports now from people who received 30 day suspensions to their accounts (for cheating), and getting an email telling them their account is being reset etc, but those bans actually being permanent when they try to go on the game again, whether during their ban time or after its passed.

So I'm guessing that one or two things have happened:
1) a mistake has been made somewhere internally - it's never been the usual practice before to suspend an account and then during its suspension, to permanently ban the account. The lack of an email informing players their reprimand changed from a suspension to a permanent ban is somewhat indicative of an "unorganised practice", or
2) Rockstar Games is preparing for, or now does, the issuing of permanent bans on the first offence if cheating has been detected.

Oof.

@Gaffa

Just a little info from my part. Moneybags do seem to stick again.

Had some little sh*t force invite me to his apartment, and drop moneybags on me after spawning in a cage outside his door. Switched sessions imidiatly but the money (about 20k) stuck with me even after restarting the game.

As far as I knew - that's always been the case.

Money and rank (amongst some other things I think) are synchronised with the Rockstar Server in realtime - so you could rank up or get cash, pull your cable out immediately after, and you'll still have the cash and rank in the next session.

Can you quote my post?

It entirely depends on the method used. Spoofed cash is - as the name suggests - spoofed cash. It's not real and can't be used.

Money from bags or other props dropped on your head sticks though - always been like that.

To be honest no idea what topic it was in.

But considering the part I qouted we both missunderstood each other back then.

From what I remember, money sitcks regardless of method. Rank does not however. If someone were to 'give' you RP and you either force close the game or disconnect without saving, it will not stay. I've found this when doing a mission which ranks me up, my game then crashes, and I find that I haven't ranked up because it hadn't yet saved

On another note: Can they still do that fake ban stuff?

Had some scriptkid threaten me with "You will be banned soon" after I called him out for using godmode during a deathmatch.

After he said that my minimap went away, the picture got a light gray filter and the time started changing rapidly. I quickly left since I had no idea what kind of "dark magic" this guy was doing and there was no point in continueing anyway.

When you mean fake ban stuff, do you mean a fake ban message? As far as I'm aware, it won't do anything. It's probably under an option in their mod menu that is listed as 'screw up game', which has been going on for ages. The worse I've seen is where my screen was mostly green; as in green bars going down the screen, almost looking like a smashed screen where the pixels act oddly.

Cheaters threating legit players with bans. Oh the irony. You probably already know this, but if you encounter someone using god mode or options that indicate they're cheating, simply report them, possibly call them out, then leave. With the situation being worse since it being released for free for a period, avoiding these people just becomes more difficult. It's the reason why I don't bother with public deathmatches or races as there is no doubt someone is cheating.

Still hoping its a honeypot strategy and the re-re-release will be the first non-valve game to include vacnet or something.

No not that tripe vac, but vacnet, machine learning anti-cheat that makes cheaters matchmake with other cheaters, look it up if not aware, valve already hinted at offering this system as a service some time soon, how cool would it be if they go straight for the big names in their initial roll-out? suddenly your cheating in cs:go will prevent you from playing cod gta etc? (and vica versa ofc) please god yes!

That said i really dislike that dude, all his streams are just back to back bitching about politics etc.
