Yeah it was 1.48 before the update but some people are saying it's rolled back to 1.47 after this launcher update. Quite peculiar.

^wow, it's true. I just installed the update and launched the game; indeed it shows v1.47.

Also we get a new launcher shoved down our throats.. nice. One of the reasons I got the Steam version is now no more.

From the looks of it steam users are getting rolled back to 1.47

I can confirm that this is NOT the case. I didn't pay anything for the MK2 I destroyed today

Also another 100-something MB patch was released on steam which brought the version number back to 1.48

My guess is that they packed the wrong executables with the R* Launcher patch for steam and needed to hotfix it.

The insurance on PC reports might have been true for the small amount of time people were playing with 1.47 files. I only launched the game, didn't actually play so I can't confirm it. After the 100 MB hotfix everything was back to normal cause I did play a little.

There's even PSA labeled threads on Reddit that insurance is back on PC, talk about rushing in... there's no way such a big change would come unannounced.

Even more of a reason to avoid those public lobbies, the difference being that it also applies to the console players. All credit goes to good old @GhillieMaster for the PSA you could say.

Not true.

 

Thing is - all the regular counters DO work against this Glitch.

So, as soon as you get Orb spawned - rush from the Hospital towards the building accross the street and hide under the ark. You may fail several times, but eventually you will make it and the obtial spammer will waste the shots as the ark protects you.

At least, it worked for me, but so far I only had to deal with this once.

 

Another option - trigger solo public mid game and finish the mission.

BTW (FWIW) the Up and Atomizer is just as much of a game breaker as the orbital cannon glitch.

 

Anyone can use it to troll you in the same way as the Stun gun (which Rockstar has consistently refused to release because it would break game play--go figure); happened to me a few days ago.

 

Same end result; you often don't even have the time to navigate through the menus and switch to a different session. You have to shut the game down with Crtl-Alt-Del and relaunch the game.

Firstly, loving the GTAMen edit. That's golden. Yeah, being with streamers or being one makes you more of a target. You can always use the Firewall method to block anyone you don't know, while only allowing people you specify and still being able to do sell missions and what not. But, that method doesn't work for me as I don't use Windows Firewall. Public sessions haven't been safe for a while and nothing seems to get done or change to resolve the problem. Perhaps if money was involved, we might see some changes, but most of the time it isn't as most of the money stealing methods are long patched. The real question is: Why do people spam the explosion loop on players or just grief with mod menus in general? It's not as if they gain anything by doing it. Unless it's a streamer where they feel they want some attention, when even that doesn't really work

Yeah the solo session tool thing works well as well as freezing the game for 10 seconds.
But Gtamen bought the RTX 2080 Ti and has been playing on PC lately so I wanted to help out by sourcing few cars for him, when, well, that happened, hence the edits.

 

I can see why most "GTA streamers" moved to FiveM, it's not a cesspool of cheaters that automatically put a giant target on a streamer for attention.

Yet here I am, minding my own business in solo public sessions.  Nah even then people mess about with the spammed text messages - I just ignore it and don't give them the attention.

^^ Well, as usual, I'll believe the R* hyped-up punishment threats when I actually see long-term evidence that they've somehow regained control of their own bloomin' game... in-game. lol

 

With the exception of money drops (they're apparently happening, but you rarely see them), the script kids are still clearly winning in most any public session you switch to:

Some of the stuff they mention isn't exactly new, but are starting to take some action against these offences. It also leaves some grey areas with glitches. What glitches would they class as harmful? All of them? Dupes? Orbital Cannon? How do they know it's intential rather than accidental?

 

I also don't understand what account boosting is. Killing Cops with a tank and just sitting there? Having someone else mod another player's stats through a mod menu or outside methods (Modded accounts)? How do they determine if they are boosting? I'm not expecting answers, but just trying to raise some questions that can lead to other issues, such as unfair bans.

Put this here because it'll have more views: someone else having issues with the purchase button in the Legendary Motorsport website? "Bought" the discounted Annis S80RR, the game took my money, but no car for me then the purchase button is greyed since this afternoon. Didn't check the other websites tho.

 

I'll open a ticket if it persists tomorrow.

Yeah open a ticket up please bud, if you don't get the car "back" then you should have your account credited with the cost of the vehicle if you work through support. 

I'm more concerned with the inability to purchase another one though - is that issue still persisting or could it have been because there wasn't a colour selected for the vehicle before clicking the purchase button?

Just had some weirdness in a session (Ps4) where I've been killed and the player who's done me has immediately teleported to my respawn location and killed me again. Happened with two different players (same sesh). Never experienced any like it before...anyone else come across similar?

It persists as of now. Also SSSA website is affected. Warstock, Elitas and DockTease are fine. I did verify the game files before logging in.

 

Opening ticket now.

 

Also noticing that the price of the S80RR has dropped since yesterday (1,9 -> 1,6).

It appears to be a teleport glitch. Saw it on The Professional's videos. They now also have a glitch that allows you to fire multiple shots with the orbital cannon that doesn't require you to disconnect after every "free" shot. I'm not on PS4 though so I have no idea how they do it. (and if I did, I probably wouldn't share)

^^ FWIW, I suspect(?) I saw the same video "Top 6 Most Annoying Glitches Still Not Patched 2019" by The Professional--he makes some good suggestions that should be easy for R* to implement.

 

Anyway, as he suggested, I submitted a report to R* Support to help bring these issues to their attention.

 

Their response (paraphrased)? "It's not just a simple matter of fixing code." (facepalm)

 

...then where, pray tell, did these issues start? What is your entire game made of?

UPDATE: they answered me and told that the car is in my garage, which technically is, but in a different garage than supposed. Pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday, so they must've fixed it manually. 

 

The purchase issue is also solved.
