The simple fact is that GTA:O is just full of dickheads. And there is like a 1/10 chance of finding a fun dude who's cool to hang around with doing crazy stuff. So when start the grieving with a jet for example, 9/10 people you kill, would have shot you on spot as it is. So killing those turdjugglers can be fun as they deserve it anyway, and they can't do anything to you. Because well, you're in a jet, and as long as you can strife and do a left or right turn, nobody except another jet can hit you. And then there is Passive mode if you think another jet is about to out-gun you.

And then you can start insulting said pilot thats now on your tail, go off-radar and hop out of passive mode and send him back to the ground. Where you can start grieving once more. And continue insulting offcourse. Because once you start, you might as well keep it going.

"GTA is full of dickheads"

Talks about GTA, a crime sim meant to release the inner assholeness of people who cant do so in real life because... they too scared too and still at school so cant be a real life arsehole

If you want a game where the main purpose is to lick each other asses, try The Sims, you will like it

i would never grief / ruin someones game experience , but only because im not a prick

Or rather, you have convinced yourself that there is some kind of quasi-moral code to play by in this online multiplayer crime game.

aha , the old " its a game" excuse eh haha , nah to be honest it doesnt matter what im doing , fishing ,playing gta ,swimming ,work, driving , socialising ,playing football , whatever the activity im engaged in im just not a prick , simples.

But the simple fact is, it is just a f*cking video game, so trying to equate the rest of your life principles to how you play it is bollocks really. I could say that I am a fine upstanding citizen who treats everybody right in real life, but dicking about in an online game within the set parameters of that game i.e. Not cheating or glitching, doesn't make somebody an all round prick. Have a word with yourself.

Also you and johndoe still did not answer my question: "Why attack CEOs

When I kill them R says they are my rival, thats reason enough.
How can someone who does have no intention in attacking you and does not make you loose anything can be your rival? Well its the old "hurr durr Rockstar told me so" excuse, i was a fool expecting something else.

So you are blindly following "instructions"? In that case you would also need to buy a sharkcard everytime the sharkcard ad pops up in the loadingscreen, because Rockstar says so, but i guess this "rule" only counts when someone can use it as excuse to grief defenseless people.

You aren't defenceless. Get a crew together and defend your stuff instead of carping.

sorry to upset you kid but this is real life , real people playing a real game .

doesnt matter what the activity is you taking part in , being a prick is being a prick , you can cry all you want about it but the reason you act like a prick in a video game is because theres no comeback ,, thats why you say your a upstanding citizen in "real life" ,, because you wouldnt dare act like a prick in the same room as some of the people you grief online would you , cas you weak .

only place kids get to act hard is online ,, where its safe to do so right haha

Ooooh for f*ck sakes. This topic...lol

Yes this game is filled with Griefers.... dick heads.. assholes and little pussys.

They are easy to avoid and easy to troll back. 90% of the people who play GTA are idiots.. Even this topic filled with em.

The only time griefers become an issue is during CEO/Biker missions. So solo up the session, invite friends and kick everyone.

I mean..I don't grief.. But join free roams looking for them everyday. Without them, the game would be boring. I like fighting the big dogs..not the puppies. I personally don't get off on being dick to people unless they gave me reason.

And once i get a reason.. Its SHOoOooOOOW TIME!

If getting killed in a video game traumatizes you that bad, maybe you shouldn't be playing video games, especially shooter games, in the first place. The inability to distinguish fantasy from reality is indicative of a psychological impairment. What did you expect when you first stepped into online in this game? Rainbows and sunshine?

Most of the griefing dickheads act hard because they know that the internet make them annoymus and that they wont have to face any consequenzes for what they are doing.

Im using the same moral code in videogames (where i interact with other people) that i use in real life and i do not see any problem with that.

Most overused arguments:

1. It's gta

2. If you don't like it, go play sims

I grief pretty often myself and I don't need any excuse, it's a video game with acces to Jet/Tank/Armored Jeep/Armed Helicopter, aswell as large selection guns, And You wonder why people use them? Because they can. That's why.

We've already established 1000 times in this thread that griefing is just a part of GTA online and there's nothing technically wrong with it.

Personally though I find griefing a bit cheesy when done in excess, but I get just as much pleasure from delivering a 'package', as the griefers get from destroying it, no doubt. It's just a mindset - positive actions vs negative destruction.

So you just want to mess up everyone else's day because that's your thing... and that's OK, it's cool, but perpetual griefers should remember that positive players get just as much fun from delivering that package as you get from destroying it. We like the chase, we like the buzz - it's what makes GTA online exciting. It's like being in-game criminals delivering illegal merchandise while being hunted down by griefer authorities.

If getting killed really gets you that mad, I guess I will continue doing it until your blood vessels burst. Now you're going to label me a sadist, I'm guessing? You take this game way too seriously. People kill me in this game all the freakin' time. You know what I do? I either kill back or just go into passive mode. When you sign up to play online in this game, you're agreeing to this very rule: ''Either kill or get killed.'' Plus, you can't trust anyone in this game, so you can't just go to everyone and try and make friends.

you do know that gta isnt fantasy , its a real life game , fantasy happens inside your head , you know, like imagination .

you can try and justify it all you want but the reason you or anyone acts like a prick online is because its the only place you can do it without getting smashed up ,, like i said ,,,,,weak as f*ck

Ah, so you're one of those people who play this game as a way to escape real life? Have your pathological insecurities got the best of you? Like I said, the inability to distinguish fantasy from reality is indicative of a psychological impairment, which is quite evident in your case.

Please do establish the difference between killing and 'griefing'. Now you're probably going to have your own definition of 'griefing'.

I don't think people should condemn griefers too much.

Yeah, I don't like them much because that's not my typical style of play, but where else are these kids with low IQs and giant food pyramids going to take out their frustrations, if not in GTA online, or similar?

Better to do this in a video game than out there in the streets.

You're meant to grief in GTA. You act like killing players and causing mayhem in this game means you're sadist who's frustrated with life. Sure, friendly lobbies would be an amazing addition, but playing in free roam with no rules means you're expecting this style of play. If I pick up a shooter game and start killing players in online, does that mean I'm a sadist with bipolar?

I wouldn't steal cars, run people over, shoot them or blow things up either, but I do in GTAO. You know why? Because it's a videogame!

The people who are crying here are those who seem to be confused with what happens in a videogame and real life.

Some of you need to put those controllers down for a while, seriously.

You're not 'meant' to do anything. One thing I've loved about GTA since the very beginning is the open world platform that allows you to do whatever you want, including griefing, if that's your thing.

BTW, no need to get nasty folks and call each other names. We've all got our opinions, and understanding the viewpoints of others is what a discussion forum is all about.

Without killing, this game wouldn't really be as fun now, would it? Sure, you don't have to kill in free roam, but with friendly fire on, killing is expected. I don't usually go out my way to engage in gunfights, but when I do, it is what it is. I mostly like cruising around in this game, which is why I want friendly lobbies bad. But to complain and whine about getting killed is just a bit silly.

This is about "griefing" which usually means bullying. If you steal a car in a video game, then of course it's not the same, if you do that in real life. GTA car is computer generated image.

But if you grief a real person intentionally in online game over and over again, then how come it's "just a videogame", if your goal is to make some REAL person unhappy? What's the difference between that and real life bullying? (other than in real life there are often consequences)

If you griefers like to make people unhappy in video games, then why not just go around tasering NPC's in story mode? What's the difference? It couldn't possibly be that you want bully real people..?

I'm damn sure that people who grief people online, do same thing in real life environment, how could they possibly not?

Player on the other side of the screen is a real person, not a content of video game. Was I clear enough this time around?
