I know you said since 2013, so granted it took 5 years (that official post dates from 2018), but if streamers get recognition in the newswire then why haven’t they acknowledged it on a larger scale?

 

OT: I agree, those new stunt races are really well constructed. I’ve enjoyed trying to beat friends times on the leaderboards. The KERS really shines here and the fact it wasn’t implemented sooner is surprising. I remember when ppl were glitching it into free mode back in 2016!

I think I can reach 1000 a second time in 3k hours without 3x eyesore stunt races, sh*tdversary modes(which I never played anyway but my main account has so much afking times, a bad habit which i try to stop on my secondary one)...

 

 

I just need some good PvE weekly events where I can farm NPC with my Savage or I don't know if R* could make more new good looking PvE x2 or x3 more often that don't feature neon green props, orange bullet proof helmets and joggers and the like. 

 

PS: yes I tried recently to play some stunt races because a friend invited me, and hated it of course, I was 6th going for the first place on my Hakuchou and peoples then thrown me out the stunt by bumping me. I.Hate.Racing. I don't mind losing but can't bear that sh*tty playerbase that can't ride clean. Still finished the race and dropped a like. But never again.

I'm really glad I made it on to this list when it was around. I got to have my online handle inscribed together with other people that I'm very fond of - absolute legends.

 

I have to say that it was this very thread that kept me motivated on the climb when the going got tough. Without a doubt, this was and will always be my favourite topic on this website. For one, there aren't that many that aknowledge the perseverance to stick with one single game for this long. For another, it invited both people who "made it" and the aspirers to come together.

 

I think it was the moment when I completed this objective that my interest in the game went into a place of no-return. Before this, I had every single achievement and was the closest thing to a "completionist" that this game can have. Arena War and its ridiculous system made me question the point of it all and nothing was ever the same.

 

Then, real life just took its course and I, like many, moved on - forever. I never thought I'd say this one day but it's time for the next Grand Theft Auto.

It seems like we may open the club for those who have moved away with Online. Arena was absolutely atrocious in terms of progression and I've only stayed for one more update before calling it quits forever. I sometimes wonder how day one players are still doing that.

Só, I'm scrolling through the forum and I see a star next to this thread for new posts, and I'm like 'Jesus, people actually still contribute to this thing'?

 

The fact is, I don't play GTA online very much anymore. I log in a couple/few times a week, get bored and then log off again. It's a watershed moment and I don't feel the need to grind anymore: it's just a game and if you're not having FUN then move on... play other games, watch movies, wack off, do anything, but don't just sit there and grind if you're not having fun.

 

GTA will always be a part of my life. How could it not be when I've committed so much time and sacrifice to it? But it's not my entire life, thank God for that!

Widely known as the 'wilderness' levels between 800 and 1000, they can go on forever.

 

It's still a major gaming achievement.

Yeah, my leveling has stopped now as nothing can quite reach the speed of Peyote Plants. I was level 700 just in May this year(looking at my snapmatics) I've done crazy amount of work this year. Just in November 2016 I was level 120(moved from Xbox 360 -> PS4 -> PC).

 

Hopefully I will be able to reach my goal in the future and... not die.

The last 50 levels to get to 2000 was awful, even with peyotes. Half a bar at a time.

 

I doubt I'll ever forget it though. Fighting through an alien invasion, slashers, monsoon rain, sepia ambient light, some dude who is on fire and is so unhappy about it he's waving an axe at me, demented clowns, engine failures, you name it.

 

I'm officially retired. Level 3000 can kiss my big old white butt.

At that rate you will reach it by the end of next year i think  just always do the 2x / 3x events! you'll get there

PSA:

 

Anyone trying to get the fancy globe animation for their rank up pics / vids be warned. They are broken as of The Contract Update. In particular the gang attacks (it still works the same in regular jobs if enough RP is earned on completion).

 

The screen will roll up the usual kill, headshots, point blanks, RP etc but refuse to show the spinny globe, level, or any text to confirm rank up. After completion there's only the blank opaque slate (shown below) and then disappears. If anyone is curious, you can replicate this. Just leave about 700RP before your next level -- gang attacks usually have 15/20 enemies (rarely 30 but sometimes) so 300RP max then a base 500RP from the attack itself. Upon completion you're supposed get a cool pic (used to) like this:

 

 

I was hoping to combine my 1300 and 1500 ranks this month but i guess i'll have to wait. Just a warning for those who might be as OCD as me. I sent a video over to support and some pics, hopefully it gets noticed. I'm sure lots of new and old players might have spotted this already as they rank up frequently. The distance between ranks is a lot smaller for those playing regular missions, so it's going to be fairly obvious to those who spend a lot of time free mode.

 

In the meantime, if anyone knows of any other method to get this kind of close up avatar shot with rank up screen in another job, such as adversary modes where you're on foot please drop me a reply.

Hmm I've seen couple more sus bans on high levels day before new update. But probably don't build those hopes up.
