Then don't play it. Don't go for these 15 ranks, that will change nothing. What will you do after, just leave the thing? With these ranks remaining you can keep it on the back burner for some time just to play after. I haven't played any game since probably mid-July because there is nothing that interests me plus I have a lot on my plate to invest in games. New GTA is not coming, no new Forzas are around and the stuff I have is...well.. not that attractive anymore.

 

 

I played Horizon 3 some during my GTAO addiction and it helped my racing some in that game. Picked up 4 when I went to PC but have played no others. They just added Forza 7 to game pass today so now I will check it out.

I actually found my quality of life to go down because of FH4 and its festival playlist which made me feel like weeks go by faster simply because i have the playlist and its progression in the back of my mind. I want to break free from that addiction of 100%ing every season of the playlist and owning every car in the game but i can't. I'd much rather grind money and ranks in GTAO than live my life from one thursday to another thanks to FH4's festival playlist.

I don't have a very good answer to video game addiction.

 

All I know if that if you're an addict who plays GTA online, but has since stopped playing it, you'll be addicted to something else instead. I personally try to put off the cravings as long as possible, i.e.; I don't play video games immediately after getting up, but try to organize other things first: take a shower, clean up, eat breakfast, go to work... and if you don't have any work, do something else first instead. The best thing to do is to accept the addiction, but try and prioritize more important things first. I don't know about you guys, but after turning the addiction on, turning it off again can a major challenge. In the past, I have felt so disappointed at not having more control and for not being able to walk away when I'm no longer having fun, so that's why I advise putting it off as long as possible because you know it will get you in the end.

There should  be a celebration this weekend, with Double RP/Cash on Contact missions....... we should reach level 900.

 

7 years of hard earnt grinding.

 

then we push on the the Thousand...... wonder if i will reach before the transfer to PS5?

It's a decent game and multiplayer should be improved now. Don't have the thing myself on PC, but you won't be disappointed unless you are looking for more simulation. In my opinion, Forza 7 is the best simcade that plays decent on controller on the market. No other PC racing game comes close in terms of controller support. Wheels, yes, a lot of games are decent. Best thing to experience is the feedback rumble on Xbox ONE and up controller, the feature that I suspect will not be added to GTA V remastered.

I bought an elite controller last weekend and really like it so far. I have yet to buy a wheel since I'm not that hardcore. What I have read about F8, they are bringing a lot of sim elements into it.

That is hardcore. I will never reach 100% completion on any series due to having to play online. I absolutely DESPISE emotes and every time I see someone's idiotic looking character doing some idiotic dance, I turn off the game, lol.

I hope Elite controllers are better now than they used to be in the past. My absolute worst experience with X1 controllers was from Elite one, my regulars are still working without issues. As someone who have experienced both, there's not much in Elite for me and I have finally refunded it and decided to stick with the regular one. Quality aside, decent ergonomics.

 

On the matter of wheels, just try the experience before you buy and imagine how the setup will function in your house. Two key factors here: it's quite possible that you will not like the experience and you may have insufficient space.

I had a wheel sometime in the 90s and I recall not liking it. Im sure they are much different these days but I would need a super expensive setup to enjoy it. I’m talking pedals that feel real, force feedback, etc. One of those racing seats and what not. 
 

Too expensive, too big and I have better uses for my money. 
 

I got the elite number 2. I like the weight of it, the textured grip, the extra buttons, etc. I only have it because we thought we would enjoy owning a switch so we bought one. After it sat unused for a week we returned it and got something I would use.

I don't think that you will enjoy a super expensive setup. You can try one of these setups in malls, not sure how available it is now in NA during the current situation and how generally available these things are in States, but you can definitely find where to try it. I think you will not enjoy it, because if you like cars and can drive fast, you will not appreciate the simulation even now. Only a small amount of games will give you decent feel and you will not only spend your cash on the setup itself, but you will lose your patience configuring a lot of things and tweaking controls.

if you can stomach pvp, power play with rp rewards can grant you some super good rp if you go on a killstreak. I remember in free aim, headshots while on a killstreak got me up to about 300 rp per kill

Its happened, the crossover to the last 100 to the 1k....... but there was an annoying long black loading that failed the level up animation.  (i was fuming)

Nice, you'll get that easily with this and next weeks events, assuming ofcourse they add the peyote plants back for halloween.
I made my alt a year and some change ago now and it's at 966 along with still playing on main too, so I know the feeling of playing too much even after all these years all too well.

If you care about leveling (wich imo you should do as long as you're below 120) then i can recommend checking out the 2x and 3x stuff each week, that stuff adds up quickly. I used to play those a lot in the past (mostly for the money) and after this thread got sorta revived i used them to get my last 40 levels pretty quickly. The ones of this week are pretty meh though but fingers crossed next week's are more fun & rewarding  

 

Once you go over level 200-250 or something, racing becomes one of the best ways to level if you dont want to do the 2x/3x stuffs (it does something where it completes a 'block' of the xp bar even though it doesn't really show that, so you end up getting extra xp once you get a bit of a higher level going, does require that you do good at races obviously, but its not hard to learn)

 

Personally i grinded almost non-stop for the level 120 in like the first few weeks the game released lol, had to have all the weapons and (performance) vehicle modifications etc, after that i never really cared much for level until i realized that 1k before the re-re-release was in reach, and it turned out to be much less work then i expected, i was counting on several months of grinding (ie: leading up to re-re-release) but it only took 3 weeks of somewhat casual grinding lol

TBH, I've never paid the slightest bit of attention to leveling up and have only got to 1,000 and beyond by playing the game WAY too much.

 

If you enjoy the game and play it regularly, you'll reach LL1K without even trying. Anyone can do it.

I've been playing since 2014, but my current character was created December 2016. Sitting at level 978 currently. I'm getting close!

 

Edit: And my second character is somewhere in the mid-100's, so I'm probably almost there RP-wise.

It took only 2 days for somebody to get real antsy that i hit 1k and they tried to get me banned or something (had some crazy bugs yesterday where stuff carried over to sp and back to mp several times over before i realized what was happening and restart the game) so now my profile looks like this...

That's a common bug - if there's anything R* is good at it's messing up the stats, just look at your global rp on top.

Besides, it shows up like that only ingame, on your SC page it's normal.

You can, i made the same mistake (thinking last 50 levels would be hard) but it took me only 3 weeks of casually playing 3x stuff to go from 940 to 1k
